Chapter 49 Teacher Hao

Compared to the previous dozen or so ambiguous rules, this kindergarten rule emphasizes formality.

Title, preface, and then table of contents.

Yin Zhu glanced through it and found it divided into six categories: [Daily], [Educational Activities], [Meals], [Rest], [Free Activities], and [Other]. Each category had a long list of rules. Luckily, it didn't say that she would be taking care of the child on the first day, otherwise she would never have known which rule she had broken.

Even so, a whole bunch of rules were still very hard to remember. Considering that the immediate matter was to find the head of the teaching department, Yin Zhu directly flipped to the "Other" category.

【other】

[1. In addition to caring for children, all faculty and staff members are required to get along well with their colleagues and must not engage in physical conflict or other excessive behavior with colleagues.]

2. If your colleagues behave strangely, please ignore them and respect everyone's personal freedom.

3. If...

Yin Zhu glanced through this part of the rules and couldn't help but praise in her heart: This is what normal rules should be.

The rules of the supernatural world are generally based on the concept of "strangeness." For example, the first rule tells you that there are no strange things in this world, but every subsequent rule seems to say, "There are strange things in this world."

This distorted contrast will give the chosen one a strong psychological suggestion.

Similarly, there were also very perfunctory explanations.

If the second rule in the "Other" category is "If your colleagues do anything strange, ignore them; it's perfectly normal," it might give people a slightly creepy feeling, even if they don't quite understand it.

However, the explanation for a colleague's strange behavior is "respect for everyone's personal freedom." In other words, although you may not understand why a colleague is looking at their phone and suddenly gets excited and stands up to perform a five-hit combo, you can respect their personal freedom. It is also reasonable for a colleague to suddenly have a fit of madness after watching a meme.

After all, nowadays, everyone's a little crazy; they're just putting on a brave face.

These gentle rules significantly reduce the eeriness, lower people's mental stress, and seem more logical and relatable.

As for the drawbacks, they are also quite obvious.

If you find everything reasonable and unsurprising, you naturally won't bother to investigate whether there are loopholes in those complex rules. If you happen to get scammed one day, you'll often die without even realizing it.

Without carefully reading the rules, Yin Zhu put away the manual and headed to the teaching building.

The teaching building is the largest building in this kindergarten and is relatively close to the office building. The other two buildings are the living quarters building and the canteen, respectively.

It's worth mentioning that the dormitory building and the teaching building are actually connected by a sky bridge. The two buildings, along with the sky bridge, form a circle in the very center of the kindergarten, with a small plaza in the middle.

This small square was not visible from outside the kindergarten until Yin Zhu walked from the office building to the teaching building and noticed it.

It has a sandpit, a rubber running track, and artificial grass; the facilities seem complete. For a typical kindergarten, this one is quite large, even approaching the size of a middle school.

Thinking of the five-star hotel called "New Citizens Temporary Apartment," Yin Zhu felt that a high school campus called "Sunny and Cheerful Kindergarten" didn't seem so wrong.

As soon as Yin Zhu entered the teaching building, she heard the sounds of children playing and laughing, indicating that classes had not yet started.

A little girl was making faces at the back of her head when she bumped into Yin Zhu without noticing, fell to the ground, and immediately burst into tears.

The little boy who was chasing the little girl saw her crying, and then looked at the unfamiliar adult face. He pouted and wanted to cry too, but Yin Zhu glared at him and said, "Don't cry, or I'll eat this little girl up."

Upon hearing Yin Zhu's words, the little girl wanted to cry even more, but when Yin Zhu's cold gaze swept over her, she was so frightened that she choked on her breath, leaving only a weak "woof".

Yin Zhu breathed a sigh of relief. She hadn't expected to run into these two little devils before even finding the head of the teaching department.

She crouched down, looking at the little girl who wanted to cry but dared not, her expression softening: "Did you hurt yourself?"

"Ouch—" The little girl's eyes widened as she touched her nose. Yin Zhu gently blew on it and asked with a smile, "Whew, is it cool?"

"It's cool." The little girl nodded.

Yin Zhu blew on it twice more: "Does it not hurt anymore?"

"Mmm!" Children's memories don't last long, and they soon laughed happily.

Yin Zhu became serious again: "Why are you running and playing on the stairs? What if you bump into something hard next time instead of a person? Your pretty little face will be all red from the impact."

She really wanted to pinch the child's cheek, but fearing that the rules prohibited pinching, she ultimately refrained from doing so.

"Sakura? Tiger?"

A middle-aged woman appeared in the corridor, and a strange light flashed in her eyes when she saw Yin Zhu: "Who are you?"

"I am Ms. Hao, a new teacher."

Yin Zhu took out the handbook and waved it at her. "The personnel department told me to come and see the head of the teaching department, and to ask him to arrange a job for me."

After seeing the handbook, the woman's expression returned to normal. She nodded to Yin Zhu and then told the two children to go back to their classrooms and not run around. Only then did she tell Yin Zhu, "My surname is Huang. You can call me Teacher Huang. I'll take you to see Teacher Yuwen. She is the only head teacher in the kindergarten."
