As they crossed the street, Chi Yaoyang stared at the huge sign of the amusement park.
The doorplate is engraved with flashing neon letters, revealing a sense of mystery.
John stood not far away and watched them leave the cinema.
Just as Chi Yaoyang and Popov were lost in thought, they heard hurried footsteps and John quickly walked up to them.
His face was gloomy, revealing deep uneasiness.
"Chi Yaoyang, Popov, we need cooperation."
John didn't smile as he spoke, and his eyes were full of anxiety.
Hearing John's aggressive words, Chi Yaoyang and Popov looked at each other, and a chill rose in their hearts at the same time.
"What happened? You look anxious."
John panted and sat down, placing his hands on his knees.
"This game has been going on for four days."
His voice trembled: "But fewer and fewer people survive."
Chi Yaoyang felt the tense atmosphere growing.
"What do you mean?"
He paused. “People die every day, including the man who sat next to you last night.”
Popov's eyes widened in surprise: "You mean... he's dead?"
John nodded, fear written all over his face.
"Yes, he failed too."
Chi Yaoyang clenched his fists.
Popov swallowed, courage gradually welling up in his heart.
"Do you think we can work together?"
John looked up with a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
A hint of hesitation flashed across Chi Yaoyang's face, and he silently wondered whether he should cooperate with John.
After all, John and he didn't have a good relationship.
Finally, Chi Yaoyang gritted his teeth and nodded, he stared at John and said, “Okay, let’s cooperate.”
John breathed a sigh of relief, the anxiety on his face easing a little.
"Thank you for believing in me."
John was very sincere.
Popov also expressed his support, "We are all facing the same difficulties. Only by helping each other can we survive."
Chi Yaoyang nodded, "That's right."
He held out his hand to John: "First we need to get into the cinema. I found some clues there."
John looked at Chi Yaoyang's outstretched hand and shook it: "Thank you for giving me the chance."
Chi Yaoyang handed the rule sheet to John, and John cautiously stepped into the dim cinema.
A chill came from behind him, making him shiver.
The interior of the cinema looked even older and more decrepit, with thick dust covering the seats and floor.
John looked around and saw yellowed movie posters hanging on the walls. It was obvious that no one had paid attention to them for a long time.
Two hours passed quickly, and John walked out of the cinema with a look of confusion on his face.
He walked towards Chi Yaoyang and Popov, and under their expectant gaze, he finally spoke: "The blurry figure told me to choose the black dog."
Chi Yaoyang's heart moved, and his mind was full of question marks.
Black dog?
What does this mean? Is this a puzzle?
"A black dog?" Chi Yaoyang frowned, "Are you sure you remembered it correctly?"
John nodded, very sure: "I am sure that the figure disappeared after writing this sentence."
Chi Yaoyang frowned as he tried to recall everything he had seen in the amusement park.
The three of them fell into deeper doubts.
Chi Yaoyang frowned, confused by the clue "choose the black dog".
He discussed with John and Popov and decided to leave.
However, he noticed a reduction in the number of workers on the high street.
Chi Yaoyang stopped and looked for a staff member with a flyer.
He asked, "Why are there fewer staff here recently?"
The staff member smiled and said, "Did you know that the zoo recently received a new batch of dogs, and many people have switched to become animal trainers!"
Hearing this news, Chi Yaoyang stared at the staff member, and an association suddenly emerged in his mind.
The black dogs...are they the new dogs in the zoo?
He turned back to John and Popov, his eyes thoughtful. "I have an idea."
Popov looked at Chi Yaoyang in surprise, "What idea? Do you have a way to solve this puzzle?"
Chi Yaoyang nodded, "Maybe."
He explained his idea to the three people: "In the rules we saw before, most of them included dogs. Now there are fewer staff here, and a new batch of dogs have come in."
"That means these dogs are very likely related to the clues. I think we should go back to the zoo and take a look."
Both John and Popov were attracted by Chi Yaoyang's reasoning.
So Chi Yaoyang, Popov and John decided to go to the zoo.
They quickly crossed the commercial street and came to a huge iron gate.
There was a sign on the door that said "Amusement Park" and it looked very old.
Chi Yaoyang, Popov and John walked through the huge iron gate and came to the zoo.
As soon as they entered the amusement park's main road, they felt something was wrong around them.
People walked around them without noticing their presence.
What surprised Chi Yaoyang was that these people had no expression on their faces, as if they had lost their souls.
"What's going on? Why can't these people see us?"
Chi Yaoyang was very confused.
Popov watched an expressionless middle-aged man walk by and tried to talk to him, but the man didn't respond at all.
He looked back at Chi Yaoyang and John with astonishment.
"These people seem to be controlled by some force and have lost their self-awareness."
John speculated.
Chi Yaoyang had an ominous premonition in his heart, so he decided to move on, looking for clues and solving puzzles in the amusement park.
The three of them continued walking forward in silence.
After crossing the amusement park avenue, they came to a square.
There were several rows of benches in the square, filled with expressionless people.
Some people sat in their chairs, staring straight ahead, without moving at all.
Some people just move around randomly without any destination in mind.
Chi Yaoyang was surprised to find that one of the young women was walking towards them.
He tried to talk to her, but she didn't notice him at all and continued walking forward with empty eyes.
“What…what’s going on?”
Popov was shocked.
Chi Yaoyang frowned. He could feel a powerful dark force enveloping the entire amusement park.
Chi Yaoyang, Popov and John quickly hid behind a big tree, and they carefully spied on the situation at the zoo entrance.
Now only a few staff members are left cleaning the rides.
Chi Yaoyang looked around, trying to find a chance to enter the amusement park, but they were too late now...
