Chapter 18 His Personal Belongings

Chapter 18 His Personal Belongings

"Hey, our class's average score isn't much different from Class 6."

"The gap between key and secondary key points in the previous session was at least five points."

"Why else? Just look at those guys at the back of our class who are dragging their feet."

......

The class was noisy. Jin Qi handed the report card to the class monitor, Zheng Yunsheng, and said, "Distribute it."

Zheng Yunsheng: "Okay!" He handed the report card to everyone. Cen Nian looked at the note on the table and pursed her lips.

She exhaled and slowly spread out her report card.

Chinese score 130, Mathematics 70, English 124, Comprehensive Science 219, total score 543, class ranking 53rd, grade ranking 276th.

There are 57 students in the class, and she ranks 53rd, last in the class.

The score difference in the key class is small, and a one-point difference will result in falling behind one place. Cen Nian's monthly exam score was not in the top 200, and she was indeed holding back Class 7.

Song Ze unscrewed the bottle cap and drank all the water in it. He glanced at Cen Nian from time to time, and finally couldn't help but said: "Hey, you're not going to cry, are you?"

Cen Nian looked up at him. Apart from his pale face, he didn't show any sign of crying. "I'm still very strong."

Song Ze was amused: "That's right, it's just a small monthly exam, and next month there's a midterm exam, a city-wide joint exam."

Cen Nian was ashamed: "Thank you for your comfort."

"Come on, little Nian Nian!"

Qin Zhouyan approached without knowing when, and he said with a smile: "Song Ze, why did you invite Xiao Nian Nian?"

Song Ze paused for two seconds: "This is called building closer relationships among classmates."

"Is that so?" Qin Zhouyan said with a smile: "Then I'll call you Xiao Niannian."

Cen Nian couldn't stand the teasing. She felt a little shy but didn't know what to say.

Qin Zhouyan nudged Jin Siyang who was sitting in his seat: "Xiao Niannian, that's quite smooth, don't you think?"

Jin Siyang stood up and rolled his eyes lightly: "It's all boring."

Qin Zhouyan shook his head helplessly: "What a boring man. Go to the bathroom, I want to go too!" He caught up with Jin Siyang.

Cen Nian subconsciously caught up with his back. Jin Siyang and Qin Zhouyan walked to the back of the classroom one after the other. A smart female voice called out to them, "What a coincidence! I came up here to look for my freshman classmates and happened to run into you two."

Jin Siyang nodded and greeted him. Cheng Yiwen trotted over to him and said, "There's an indoor heated swimming pool on Kaixuan Road. Do you want to go there during the holidays?"

Qin Zhouyan said quickly, "Okay, since we didn't get to go to the beach during the summer vacation, it's a good time to go swimming." He bumped into Jin Siyang's shoulder and said, "Let's go, and call Chu Chen, Teng Fang, and the others too."

"That's perfect. I'll call all my best friends over. It's more fun with more people, and we can even have dinner together after swimming."

"It's decided!" Qin Zhouyan responded. He winked at Jin Siyang, "What about you?"

Jin Siyang shrugged: "I have no objection."

"Hey, hey!" A hand waved in front of Cen Nian's eyes: "What are you daydreaming about?"

Cen Nian came back to his senses and shook his head at Song Ze: "Nothing."

Song Ze thought she was going crazy because of her test results, so he shook his head and sighed, "It's okay, there's still a long way to go."

*

The day before the holiday, everyone in the class was inevitably restless. They couldn't hide their excitement during the afternoon class. When the get out of class was finally over, everyone ran out the door like crazy.

Cen Nian packed her things while Zhu Zhiyao leaned against her desk and waited quietly. Cen Nian stood up and put on her schoolbag, saying to Zhu Zhiyao, "Everyone is so happy that the holidays are coming. I thought no one in the Affiliated High School liked holidays."

Zhu Zhiyao carefully felt Cen Nian's forehead and said, "You don't have a fever, so why are you so stupid? You should know that there is no student in this world who doesn't like holidays."

Cen Nian replied blankly, "That's right."

She had no special plans for the holiday, she just made an appointment with Zhu Zhiyao to go study in the bookstore they passed by last time.

When Cen Nian returned to the Jin family, Uncle Li and Aunt Liu were packing several large and small bags. She was a little confused: "Uncle Li, Aunt Liu, are you going out?"

Aunt Liu saw her come back and took Cen Nian's hand. "Niannian, are you back? We're going back to our hometown for the holiday. I'll transfer money to you later. This is what Mr. Jin asked me to do. You and Si Yang should take good care of her during this holiday. If you have anything, you can call me and Uncle Li."

Cen Nian was about to say that there was no need to transfer the money, but Aunt Liu seemed to give it in advance: "No one will cook for you during the holidays. Take the money and eat well. Eat whatever you want and buy whatever you want."

Cen Nian nodded: "I understand, Uncle Li and Aunt Liu, have a safe trip."

It was not until Uncle Li and Aunt Liu left that Cen Nian felt a little bit of reality. In such a big villa, there were only her and Jin Siyang. Now, the door of his room was closed, and she didn't know whether he was inside.

As the sky grew darker, Cen Nian felt a little scared, so he quietly went downstairs and turned on the light, and the room was brightly lit.

When she was in Ningcheng, after leaving her uncle's house, she and her grandmother lived in a small house with two bedrooms and a living room. The house was very small and surrounded by residents, so she didn't feel scared when she was alone at home. But now the empty villa was filled with only her movements.

Cen Nian walked to Jin Siyang's door, raised her hand to knock, then hesitated and put it down.

It would be bad if I disturbed him.

She walked back and forth, feeling conflicted. Suddenly, there was a movement at the door. With a click, the door suddenly opened. Jin Siyang frowned slightly and looked at Cen Nian, who was standing at the door like a thief.

Cen Nian was startled and stunned for a long time: "I, I just wanted to ask if you were home. Did I disturb you?"

Jin Siyang's vision was not very clear and he looked a little dazed. As soon as he came back, he took a shower and took a nap.

When I woke up in a daze, I heard the sound of a mouse walking outside the door, and then I heard some murmurs.

He closed his eyes and endured it for a while, rubbed his brows as he listened to the sound of hesitant pacing, and finally opened the door.

"I'm at home, what next?" Perhaps because he had just woken up, his young voice was a little hoarse, like the slow and long tones of a cello.

"Did you just wake up? I'm sorry I disturbed you. Your house is so big, I was a little scared to be alone, so I wanted to confirm if you were home." Cen Nian didn't intend to lie. She spoke to Jin Siyang in a somewhat gentle manner, looking very scared of him. "It's not so scary when there's someone with me."

Jin Siyang pressed the tip of his tongue against his lower teeth and casually brushed his hair: "Have you eaten yet?"

Cen Nian shook his head: "No."

He didn't say anything, leaving the door open. He walked back to the bedside to get his cell phone. A cool breeze from the air conditioner came through the crack in the door. Cen Nian felt the cold air in his room and inexplicably felt a different mood.

Jin Siyang casually swiped his fingers twice and handed the phone to her: "Order whatever you want to eat."

His phone was on, and the screen showed a private restaurant delivery. He just handed the phone to her. Cen Nian looked at his action in disbelief. Jin Siyang raised his eyebrows and raised his hand towards her.

"Oh, okay!" She hurriedly took his phone. The bare phone felt cool without any case, but it was as hot as a fireball in her hand.

Cen Nian's fingertips trembled as she hurriedly selected two cheaper vegetarian dishes and returned the phone to him.

She felt a ripple in her heart that shouldn't have happened. He just handed her such a personal item as a cell phone.
