Chapter 17 Monthly Exam Ranking

Chapter 17 Monthly Exam Ranking

Cen Nian sent a message to Uncle Li, telling him that he was going out to play with friends after school and would be back later.

Uncle Li replied quickly. He was very happy that Cen Nian went out to play with his friends.

[Uncle Li]: It’s so fun. When it’s over, send me a message and I’ll pick you up.

[Cen Nian]: Okay, thank you Uncle Li.

After Cen Nian packed up the homework and test papers for the weekend, he and Zhu Zhiyao walked out of the school gate together.

Qin Zhouyan and Jin Siyang were standing at the school gate. The two tall and handsome boys standing there attracted a lot of people's attention. Cen Nian could even hear the whispers of people around them.

"Hey, Jin Siyang is there."

"Isn't he going home? He looks like he's waiting for someone."

Zhu Zhiyao took Cen Nian's hand and said quickly, "Niannian, let's go this way. There are fewer people here."

They changed their position, and the distance between them, which was originally quite far away, was instantly shortened a lot.

Cen Nian was a little confused. There were obviously a lot of people here, so why did they have to go this way?

Qin Zhouyan put his arm around Jin Siyang's shoulder and asked, "What are Chu Chen and Teng Fang doing? They're so slow."

Jin Siyang lowered his eyes and played with his mobile phone, not paying attention to the movements around him. Cen Nian secretly glanced at him sideways, then quickly looked away.

Cen Nian had been in Jiang City for more than a month, but she had not had a chance to have fun. Zhu Zhiyao took her to the city center. The two of them, wearing school uniforms and carrying backpacks, strolled around for nearly two hours.

The black asphalt road was lined with sycamore trees, and their lush green leaves complemented the modern and European-style buildings on both sides of the road. Cen Nian and Zhu Zhiyao walked two blocks and finally stood in front of a bookstore at the intersection.

Cen Nian looked at the European-style building in front of him, with its simple and quaint door and transparent windows next to it, through which he could clearly see the bookshelves inside and the warm and comfortable atmosphere.

"Do you like it here?" Zhu Zhiyao asked.

Cen Nian nodded: "Yeah, this bookstore makes people feel very warm."

"The first and second floors of this place are bookstores, and there are study areas on the third and fourth floors. Many people like to study here. We often can't make appointments during holidays, so we can come here to study during holidays."

Cen Nian looked forward to it: "Okay!"

The affiliated high school graded the papers very quickly, and the results for all subjects were released in just one weekend.

Cen Nian sat in his seat studying, and his hand holding the pen couldn't stop shaking.

"Are the results out?"

"It's out. I saw the ranking when I went to the office to hand in my homework."

"Oh no, the rankings are out, why should the efficiency be so high?"

"Student bully, can you shut up? You always say you don't want to see the rankings, but you're actually in the top ten. Can you please be considerate of those of us who are outside the top 20?"

"We're not at the bottom anyway, why are you so anxious?"

A boy ran to the classroom door and said, "The top 100 liberal arts and science students are posted on the first floor of our teaching building. If you need help, go down and take a look."

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone in the class ran away. Cen Nian looked around. Jin Siyang was quietly lying on the table, catching up on his sleep. He seemed to have no interest in looking at the grades.

Seeing everyone else running down, Cen Nian felt a little itchy. Zhu Zhiyao asked, "Do you want to go down and take a look?"

"Okay, I want to see." Although there was no place for her, she wanted to see the top 100 masters.

Zhu Zhiyao took Cen Nian's arm and went downstairs. There were many people gathered in the lobby on the first floor. There were two movable blackboards nearby, and everyone was crowding there.

"Did you see that?"

"I'm really regressing. Last time I was 32, this time I'm 48. I really don't want to live like this anymore."

"The first place is still Jin Siyang."

"The first is permanent, the second is transient."

A few minutes later, when most of the people had left, Cen Nian finally squeezed in. She found Zhu Zhiyao's name, ranked 88th in science. "Yaoyao, you're here! That's amazing!"

Cen Nian was genuinely happy for his friend, and looked very proud: "So the great master is my good friend!"

Zhu Zhiyao squeezed her hand, then continued to scroll up the rankings, finally landing on number 60. Cen Nian glanced at her sideways, followed her line of sight, and saw a familiar figure. "Qin Zhouyan is number 60. He's really impressive, too."

It turns out that everyone around her is a great person, and she is the only one who is a small follower. No, she has to work hard!

Cen Nian secretly encouraged himself in his heart until he heard a cry of surprise from the side: "Oh my god, Jin Siyang got 150 in math, my god."

She looked up and saw that Jin Siyang, who ranked first, had a total score of 701, which was nearly 30 points higher than the second place.

His grades in all subjects were average, with only Chinese being a bit lower. His name was always at the top of the list, so people around him were no longer surprised that he was number one.

The blackboard next to it shows the top 100 students in liberal arts, with the liberal arts and science subjects put together. The first place in science is Jin Siyang, and the first place in liberal arts is Cheng Yiwen.

The image of Jin Siyang and Cheng Yiwen walking together flooded into Cen Nian’s mind. It turned out that outstanding people always play together.

Jin Qi usually does not read out the class rankings in public, she does not think it is necessary, but if anyone wants to see it, she will put it on the podium and those who want to see it can check it out for themselves.

During class, her expression was relatively calm, and she spoke crisply and clearly: "In this monthly exam, our class only accounted for 30 of the top 100. I understand. After all, there are 15 classes in the grade, and ours is a key class. But that doesn't mean that students in other classes are not good students."

Jin Qi glanced around and said, "Thirty is already the highest percentage in the whole grade. Keep up the good work, students."

Tong Yue corrected a few questions and whispered, "Is Lao Jin satisfied or dissatisfied? Although only 30 of us are in the top 100, most of our class should be in the top 150."

Song Ze whispered in the front row, "Old Jin should be satisfied. I don't think she pushed us too hard."

After finally reaching the break, when the English teacher left, the students rushed to the podium as if they could no longer contain themselves.

"Liu Jiming, you're number thirty-second."

A boy sitting in the audience responded: "Thank you!"

"Squad leader, help me take a look!"

"Forty, keep going!"

Cen Nian gathered herself together and encouraged herself secretly. Just as she was about to get up to check her results, two boys walked past her one after the other, saying, "Damn, I thought I was so awesome."

"I scared myself and almost thought I was at the bottom, but I didn't expect there were even lower places."

"Hahahahaha why are you coming to our class?"

The voice became lower and lower, but Cen Nian could hear it clearly. She sat in her seat, staring blankly at the test paper on the table, with a lump in her heart.

She seems really dumb.

Zhu Zhiyao came back from the bathroom and saw that Cen Nian was in a low mood. She moved closer to Cen Nian and said, "How about I help you? You wait here."

I thought Cen Nian would agree, but unexpectedly she grabbed the corner of Zhu Zhiyao's clothes and said, "It's okay, I want to see it myself."

She got her own test score, so she has to face it herself.
