Chapter 6 Attached Middle School No. 1
The alarm clock rang for the second time, and a white arm reached out from under the quilt and pressed the alarm clock on the bedside table.
Cen Nian struggled to force the computer to turn on, but she still looked dazed. She had gone to bed late last night, and she washed and tidied herself with heavy eyelids.
Aunt Liu put the ironed school uniform in the closet early in the morning. It was a white stand-up collar shirt, dark pants, and the school emblem and name of Jiangshi Affiliated Middle School printed on the left chest.
Jiang City Affiliated High School is the top-ranked high school in Jiang City.
Cen Nian stayed up nearly an hour late last night because of this. Thinking about entering the new campus early the next morning, she was so nervous that her palms were sweating, and her mind was full of information she had collected on the Internet last night.
[Attached High School, a paradise for the gods of scrolls. Do you think that being in the First High School is so easy, you giant scroll?]
[Those are the ones with resources. The affiliated high school has many students from prominent families. I know several university professors whose children study there.]
[Who would be so desperate to go to a high school?... They can't get ahead of the top students anyway.]
Cen Nian has good grades and is among the top ten in his grade at the Small Town High School in City C. However, he doesn't know what level his grades are at in the affiliated high school.
It shouldn’t be too bad, she comforted herself, drank the porridge handed to her by Aunt Liu, and quickly went out.
Uncle Li waited outside for a few minutes. When he saw the person coming, he took Cen Nian's schoolbag with a smile and said, "It's your first day of class today. Are you a little nervous?"
She nodded: "Yeah." More than a little.
The car was empty. Uncle Li looked at Cen Nian's dazed look and said with a smile, "Si Yang left early. Uncle Meng sent him there. You haven't seen him."
Cen Nian understood, and she felt a little nervous. As she approached the school, there was a lot of traffic coming and going, and students in school uniforms were walking on the road.
Cen Nian asked Uncle Li to park on the side of the road a little further away, and she could just walk in by herself.
Uncle Li didn't agree at first, but he couldn't resist her insistence, so he had to agree. Later, he decided to wait at this place after school.
The car the Jin family drives is not cheap, and she is just boarding at the Jin family. If others see it, she will feel guilty.
The students were all paying close attention and in great spirits. Cen Nian watched them for a long time and figured out some differences.
The students of the affiliated high school come from good families, and countless of them have good academic performance. They always have a confident and proud temperament on their faces.
Same as Jin Siyang.
However, Jin Siyang's temperament seems to be innate, even more so than others, and he has a more indifferent and unrestrained charm than others.
Cen Nian shook his head, why did he think of that person!
The Affiliated High School has a long history and a strong faculty. Although the gate is not as grand as imagined, the four elegant words "Jiangshi Affiliated High School" at the door are particularly grand and majestic.
Cen Nian walked in curiously. Since it was his first time there, he felt a little unsure. Several brand new teaching buildings stood in front of him, along with rows of tall and straight poplar trees. The sunlight penetrated the branches and leaves, casting mottled shadows on the ground.
The bell rang, and the iron gates at the entrance to the campus slowly closed, leaving only a few people to slip through the gap. They wore relieved smiles on their faces, but the security guard's words rang in their ears: "Come earlier next time! You guys are always late, so I'll be considered late from now on!"
Several young men smiled and said, "Don't worry, uncle, we will definitely do it tomorrow!"
Cen Nian stood by and watched for a while, finding it amusing. When there were fewer people around, she grabbed her schoolbag and trotted over to the security guard. "Hello, how do I get to the principal's office?"
When the security guard saw it was a girl, he lost his serious expression and turned friendly: "Are you a new transfer student?"
Cen Nian nodded, and the security guard smiled and pointed her in a direction: "Go this way. When you see Simin Building, go straight to the third floor. The principal's office is right there. There's a sign outside."
"Thank you, uncle."
Cen Nian followed the path pointed by the security guard. The roads in the campus were clean. Apart from the green leaves that had not been cleaned up in time, there was no other garbage.
Tall and lush camphor trees stand on both sides of the road. On one side of the school is the teaching building, and on the other side is a small garden with a reading corridor. The grass in the garden is trimmed neatly. After taking two steps, the flowers on several magnolia trees are quietly blooming, emitting a hint of fragrance.
Cen Nian walked for a while and was attracted by a row of billboards.
The school's bulletin board was different from the one in her previous high school. It was made of simple stainless steel, but the bulletin board here looked like a screen made of dark red sandalwood, with various patterns on the top.
She looked around for a long time and saw that there were not many people on campus, so she walked to the bulletin board.
The first page tells the history and changes of the school, as well as the school motto.
Further down were the resumes of the outstanding teachers. Cen Nian couldn't help but be amazed as he read through them. A teacher in a small town like City C only needed to graduate from a normal school, but the teachers listed here were either from Tsinghua University or Peking University, or from universities ranked in the top 20 in the country.
So awesome!
Cen Nian's eyes were drawn to the bulletin board. She read page after page. The list of outstanding students in the senior year showed the top-ranked science student with a total score of 709. Cen Nian's eyes widened. She couldn't help but mutter, "This is too impressive. 709 points. What's this person's brain made of?"
The first place is a girl with fair skin and a cute baby face under bangs. The target school is written below: Tsinghua University.
Below is the slogan she gave: Good winds help you.
Cen Nian couldn't help but feel surprised. In her previous high school, the highest score for the first place student was 620 points, which was such a huge gap from the first place student in the affiliated high school.
This affiliated high school was indeed full of talented people. For the first time, she felt scared and wanted to retreat.
With some complicated feelings, Cen Nian walked to another section. The name on the top of the section was grand and majestic: List of Outstanding Students in the Second Year of High School.
First place: Jin Siyang
Total score of the joint examination: 721 points.
Target university: Peking University.
slogan:.
Cen Yue stood there in a daze, her round pupils staring at Jin Siyang's name and his score motionlessly. In the photo, he was wearing a clean white shirt and school uniform, with a cold and sharp face. His eyes were unique in shape, not pure double eyelids, but some inner double eyelids. If you didn't look closely, they looked like narrow and long single eyelids. He was indifferent and looked at people coldly and arrogantly.
He seemed to be caught by the teacher to take a photo. Although he didn't cooperate, he had a good face.
It turned out that his grades were so good that they were almost beyond her reach.
She ranked in the top ten in the small town high school, but her highest score was only 580 points. Moreover, the education in her area could not be compared with that in City A.
Cen Nian was really scared. Could she really adapt to this place?
Thinking of this, she couldn't help but sigh, and then walked obediently towards the principal's office.
