Chapter 80 Let's get drunk and rest

She smiled brightly, and Lu Yao instantly felt less dejected. He whispered, "Honey, I really envy you. Your grades are so good, but I can't do that."

After saying that, Lu Yao lowered his head, his mood turning gloomy again. Li Baobei quickly stopped him, "No, no, no, Brother Yao, can't you be a little more cheerful? You can still go home and inherit the family fortune! Don't play the victim, I'm still renting an apartment! Humph~"

Lu Yao was amused by Li Baobei's words and said, "I just want to work in the same company as you! Otherwise, why would I go through all that trouble to go for the interview? Why don't you appreciate it?" He then rolled his eyes at Li Baobei with a faint smile on his face.

"Alright, alright, my beautiful princess, I was wrong. I'll take my leave now, but this will be for life!" After saying that, Li Baobei pretended to walk outside, watching Lu Yao behind her with a smile in her eyes.

“Li Baobei, you…” Lu Yao hurriedly caught up with the coffee, cleared her throat, and said in a relieved tone, “Come on, today this fairy will take you out to play.”

Li Baobei: "Where?"

"XXX Amusement Park".

"Yay!" Li Baobei exclaimed happily. The two hailed a taxi and headed towards the city's most luxurious amusement park.

The next day.

Li Baobei is going to start work on time, so she got up very early and planned to dress formally for the first day.

As she brushed her teeth, her eyes inadvertently glanced at herself in the mirror, and her pupils instantly dilated. "I've become so white? Hmm?"

She put down her toothbrush, rubbed her eyes, and continued looking at herself in the mirror. Her face in the mirror became familiar.

The woman in the mirror had a beautiful face with delicate features, like an AI-generated anime beauty. Her bright eyes sparkled, complementing her small, straight nose and rosy lips.

Her smooth skin was flawless, like a meticulously crafted piece of porcelain, and she exuded a captivating charm.

She looked at it closely, "This...this looks like me before, yet not quite! On the one hand, my features haven't changed much, but on the other hand, I don't think I was as refined as I used to be."

Li Baobei couldn't help but admire herself, nodding confidently, "I really am a beauty."

Then he swallowed, "Hmm?"

Why does it smell so strongly of toothpaste?

She suddenly snapped out of her daze and noticed the white foam at the corner of her mouth. She sighed and rubbed her forehead, clicking her tongue. "After being dizzy for a few days, why does my brain feel so foggy?"

Without thinking further, I quickly got ready and hurriedly left the house.

She wore a well-tailored business suit that exuded both competence and feminine grace.

Her light makeup and long, black hair exude confidence and strength, making her a beautiful sight to behold as she moves through the concrete jungle, attracting the attention of passersby.

On her first day at work, Li Baobei felt quite comfortable, as it was her specialty, so there weren't many problems.

The next few days were uneventful and barely passable.

Early in the morning, she walked toward the manager's office with a stack of documents, intending to ask the manager how to implement the next plan.

She had just reached the door when her hand slipped, scattering the documents all over the floor. She quickly squatted down to pick them up, and a tall, imposing figure appeared in front of her. She looked up and met the man's cold, stern gaze.

The man stood high above, dressed entirely in pure black except for a narrow white tie tied around his shirt collar, which accentuated his fair complexion.

A faint chill lingered at the corners of his lips. His features were deep and stern, his expression serene and indifferent, and his dark eyes were filled with light, as if a handful of stardust had fallen into them.

Li Baobei was secretly surprised: "Why does this person look so familiar?"

"Hmm?" She must have seen this man somewhere before.

She was so engrossed in watching that she forgot to look away. The man glanced at her dismissively with disdain before heading straight into the manager's office.

"Oh no... so he's the manager." Li Baobei thought to herself, her brow furrowing involuntarily.
