She sat down at the table, said thank you to Jiang Chen, picked up her chopsticks, and began to eat heartily.
Seeing that she had a good appetite, Jiang Chen secretly took a picture of Su Yaoyao eating with her head down, found Yu Chiyan's number, and clicked to send the photo.
Just as he finished doing all this, his phone rang. It was Chu Ling calling.
He pressed the answer button and walked outside; the voice on the other end quickly came through.
"Cheng Hu has been found."
These words clearly reached Su Yaoyao's ears.
Sure enough, Jiang Chen returned just a moment later.
"Madam, I have some things to take care of first. Someone will come to clean up after you finish your meal, so I'll be leaving now."
As soon as he finished speaking, Su Yaoyao stood up. She elegantly wiped her lips with a tissue, and looked at Jiang Chen with a calm and resolute gaze.
"Did you catch Cheng Hu? I'll go with you."
Jiang Chen's expression changed; he hadn't expected that Su Yaoyao had overheard his words.
"Um, Madam, you should get some rest... I'll handle it."
Su Qingqing had already put on her only coat, picked up her phone, and glanced at him with a cool gaze.
"Are you coming or not? If not, I'll go out and hail a taxi myself."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Cheng choked and had no choice but to compromise and take her along.
If his wife goes out alone and something happens to her, he might as well give up on life.
The two left the hospital together and got into the Yu family's car. Su Yaoyao then leaned her head against the car window, her face cold and stern.
She needed to find out how Huo Xiting had betrayed those people in the underworld for her sake, how he had offended Cheng Hu, and how that had driven him to such madness.
Half an hour later.
A black luxury car sped in, splashing water along its path, and then came to a steady stop in front of the police station.
"Madam, we've arrived."
Jiang Chen spoke to Su Yaoyao, who was sitting in the back seat with her eyes closed, looking aloof.
"knew."
She responded calmly, and the two then got out of the car.
After entering the gate, Jiang Chen led the way ahead of Su Yaoyao, his familiarity with the route suggesting he had been there many times before.
"Does Assistant Jiang come here often?"
Thinking this way, she asked the question.
The moment he finished speaking, Jiang Chen's body stiffened almost imperceptibly, but he quickly returned to normal and smiled faintly.
"I don't come here often, but I came once or twice before when dealing with company disputes."
Su Yaoyao nodded, without any suspicion.
"arrive."
Jiang Chen pushed open a door and said to Su Yaoyao, "Captain Chu should still be interrogating Cheng Hu. Madam, let's sit in his office and wait for a few minutes."
Su Yaoyao nodded and turned to go into the office.

Last night, Yu Chiyan arranged a lot of things for Su Qingqing to satisfy her preferences for the house.
Later, the rain became so heavy that he couldn't drive back to the hospital and had to spend several hours in the car before returning to the company early in the morning. He hadn't even had a chance to see Su Yaoyao yet.
Unable to reach Su Yaoyao at the old house, they called him.
"Don't worry, it rained too hard yesterday and we stayed out too late, so we found a hotel to stay in."
Madam Yu breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Yu Chiyan's words.
"It's alright, it's alright. Are you with Yaoyao right now? Let her answer the phone."
Yu Chiyan paused, remained silent for a moment, and then spoke softly.
"She was too tired last night, she should still be sleeping now."
Upon hearing this, Old Madam Yu instantly understood: "You rascal, don't you dare tire out my precious Yaoyao!"
Yu Chiyan's face darkened: "If Grandma hadn't forbade me from going back to the old house to see Yaoyao, how could she have been so exhausted by me?"
Madam Yu glared, so this was all her fault?
But upon closer reflection, what Yu Chiyan said does seem to make some sense.
Her grandson is at the age where he's like a wolf, and after getting married, he was still occupied by her for a few days. Now that they've finally gotten together, she has to make up for it.
"Grandma, Yaoyao and I will be back for dinner tonight."
Yu Chiyan's voice pulled her back to reality. Old Madam Yu pursed her lips, thought for a moment, and finally agreed.
"Alright, bring Yaoyao back with you."
"good."
Yu Chiyan hung up the phone, a faint smile appearing in his eyes. From now on, he could openly return to the old house and sleep with her in his arms.
Just then, he saw the photo that Jiang Chen had sent him.
The woman was slender and thin, wearing a pure white long dress, with her black hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall, revealing only half of her small and delicate profile.
Looking at her serene and beautiful appearance, Yu Chiyan felt as if a ball of fire had been stuffed into his heart, so hot that it seemed to melt him.
He quickly typed out a text message.
"This month's bonus will be doubled."
Click send.
When Jiang Chen saw the message, his eyes narrowed with laughter.
"Thank you, boss!" he replied quickly.
Just as Su Yaoyao was about to ask him what was making him laugh so happily, Chu Ling pushed open the office door.
He had just come out of the interrogation room, dressed in a dignified and solemn police uniform, exuding an aura of righteousness.
His gaze first swept across Jiang Chen's smiling face before finally settling on Su Yaoyao's face.
"Miss Su."
Su Yaoyao stood up: "Captain Chu."
Jiang Chen also put away his phone, frowned, and asked Chu Ling, "So, has Cheng Hu confessed?"
Chu Ling glanced at Su Yaoyao upon hearing this, but ultimately shook his head.
He didn't say a word.
