Su Yaoyao tightened her grip on her hands at her sides and looked at Chu Ling.
"Captain Chu, may I meet with him alone?"
Upon hearing this, Chu Ling and Jiang Chen refused in unison.
"No."
"Madam, you mustn't!"
The two exchanged a glance, and Chu Ling explained, "Cheng Hu is too dangerous for Miss Su. You cannot meet with him alone."
Jiang Chen also spoke up: "That's right, Madam, you can't take the risk."
Su Yaoyao stood up and looked at Chu Ling seriously: "Huo Xiting is lying in the hospital, and it is unknown when he will wake up. Cheng Hu has been caught. I must find out what his purpose is in doing this. I also need to find out what the relationship is between Huo Xiting and Cheng Hu. Captain Chu, he is in your hands now. What can he do to me?"
Su Yaoyao's tone was cold, and even more so, it revealed a resolute determination.
Chu Ling knew that her insistence on seeing Cheng Hu was all for Huo Xiting's sake, and since she couldn't persuade her otherwise, she had to settle for second best.
“You can see him, but we have to keep an eye on things.”
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao's eyes darkened slightly.
Cheng Hu was placed in solitary confinement. When he learned that Su Yaoyao had met with him, the man smiled strangely.
He was taken by two police officers to a room with a floor-to-ceiling window.
Jiang Chen and Chu Ling stood outside, ready to rush in immediately if Cheng Hu made any suspicious moves.
Seeing Su Yaoyao enter, Cheng Hu sneered, "Su Yaoyao, you've finally arrived."
Judging from his words, it seemed like he was waiting for me.
Seeing Cheng Hu's strange look, Su Yaoyao had a bad feeling.
"What do you mean?"
Cheng Hu smirked: "Nothing, I just wanted to ask you, is Huo Xiting dead or not?"
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao clenched her fists almost instinctively, and a hint of disgust and hatred flashed in her eyes.
"Cheng Hu, why did you do this?!"
