"Sister, let me put it on for you?" The chain was too long. If Ren Yaoqi wanted to wear it, she would have to wrap it around three or four times. Normally, she would not wear it because she thought it was too cumbersome, but today she suddenly remembered it for some reason.
Ren Yaoqi shook his head: "I think this chain is too tacky, can you modify it for me?"
"Ah?" Qingmei was stunned. "How should I change it?"
Ren Yaoqi pointed at the pearls on top and said, "Take them apart. There's a pink one, a white one, and a gold one, strung together like this."
Qingmei went to the closet with a bitter face to look for needle and thread.
At this time, Xueli had already found the lynx skin crane cloak. Seeing Qingmei still in the room, she couldn't help but frown.
Ren Yaoqi asked Xueli to comb her hair simply, put on her crane cloak, and was about to go out.
"Qingmei leaves the beads behind, Xueli comes with me."
After exchanging a glance with Qingmei, Xueli hesitated for a moment, but still rushed forward to open the curtain for Ren Yaoqi.
This was the first time that Ren Yaoqi had gone out in two miles. When the curtain outside was lifted, a cold wind swirled around, carrying snowflakes as big as goose feathers. The ice chips hit her face and it hurt.
Even though I was wearing thick clothes, my body was still warm, but my face was instantly frozen. There were snowflakes on my eyelashes, and when I blinked, one of them melted away, blurring my vision.
She hadn't seen the wind and snow in the north for many years.
"Sister, it's cold outside, why don't you go back?" Xueli advised sincerely.
Ren Yaoqi ignored him. She pulled the hood on her head down, covering most of her face, and then walked towards the main room without looking back. The further she walked, the faster her steps became, and in the end she actually started to run.
"Fifth sister, you are so mean--" Xue Li chased after her.
No, Ziwei Courtyard, the west wing is separated from the main house by a hall and a large courtyard.
Ren Yaoqi ran all the way along the corridor. When he came out of the corridor door connecting to the corridor, he almost slipped on the thin, half-melted snow under the eaves of the main house. However, when he really stood at the door of the main house, he felt a little nervous.
A few rays of light leaked out from under the indigo door curtain embroidered with gold and jade, and Ren Yaoqi vaguely heard someone talking in the main room.
"Fifth sister." The maid on duty was a little puzzled when she saw a tightly wrapped figure running along the corridor. When she saw clearly that it was Ren Yaoqi with the help of the hurricane lamp under the corridor, she was shocked. She quickly bowed and went in to report.
Soon the indigo curtain was opened from the inside, and a beautiful girl with almond eyes and fair skin came out. She was wearing a fur coat embroidered with silver-red peony flowers, a goose yellow pleated skirt, and had almond eyes.
She was two years older than Ren Yaoqi and taller than her peers. She stood under the eaves of the door and looked down at her. Her pretty face was cold, and the orange-red lantern light that enveloped her could not make her look warm at all.
Ren Yaoqi was stunned for a moment and opened his mouth: "Three..."
Before she could finish her words, the girl suddenly raised her hand and slapped her hard in the face. The crisp and loud slap stunned everyone present.
"Ren Yaoqi, you still have the nerve to come here!" A cold voice with some sarcasm sounded in Ren Yaoqi's buzzing ears. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
