Chapter 5: Meeting Again (1/2)

As Grandpa Jiang looked at his granddaughter, he seemed to see the baby still in swaddling clothes in his mind's eye.

When he first found Jiang Ning, the little girl was only a few months old and covered in blood. Everyone advised him not to take her in because she was too small and wouldn't survive without breast milk.

But it was winter, and none of the onlookers wanted to adopt Jiang Ning. Old Master Jiang couldn't bear it and took Jiang Ning back with him. Even though his son and daughter-in-law opposed his adoption of Jiang Ning, he still insisted.

As his grandfather, he wanted Jiang Ning to live a good, peaceful, and joyful life more than anyone else.

This is also the reason why Grandpa Jiang named Jiang Ning with the character 'Ning'.

“Ningning, we’re family, so let’s not talk about those empty words. Since you’ve decided to start over, don’t think too much. Grandpa gets a salary every month, so supporting your college entrance exam and university education is no problem at all. It’s getting late, so calm down, wash up, and go to bed. I’ve even saved your room!” Even if Jiang Ning didn’t get into a good university or give him a better life, Jiang Ning was still his granddaughter, and his devotion to her was selfless.

“Okay, Grandpa.” Jiang Ning nodded and walked towards the room.

Grandpa Jiang also walked to the corner of the living room.

Seeing the old man familiarly pull back the curtain and lower the single bed to prepare for sleep, Jiang Ning felt a pang of sadness. It seemed she needed to quickly find a way to make money, improve the quality of life, and let the old man live in a luxury single room.

Back in the room.

After taking a shower and removing her heavy makeup, Jiang Ning sat in front of the dressing table and finally saw the original owner's true appearance beneath the heavy makeup.

The person in the mirror had skin as white as snow, crescent-shaped eyebrows and starry eyes. She was a stunning beauty with striking features. What surprised Jiang Ning even more was that she had thought the original owner only resembled her by about 70 or 80 percent. She never expected that she and the original owner looked exactly alike.

Even the position of the small red mole under the eyebrows is exactly the same.

It seems so.

Her rebirth as the original owner due to the bombing may not be a coincidence.

The next morning.

6:30.

After a quick wash, Jiang Ning changed into her workout clothes and prepared to go downstairs for a morning run.

Grandpa Jiang is already busy at the restaurant.

Jiang Ning greeted the old man with a smile, "Good morning, Grandpa."

Upon hearing this, Grandpa Jiang turned to look at Jiang Ning, somewhat surprised, "Ningning, why are you up so early?"

“I’m going for a morning run,” Jiang Ning replied.

The original body was in poor health; he had only been in a fight last night, and his whole body ached when he woke up this morning.

Jiang Ning decided to train hard and regain her good figure and physique from her previous life.

Morning run?

Upon hearing this answer, a look of heartache flashed in Grandpa Jiang's eyes again.

My granddaughter used to live a very carefree life, sleeping whenever she wanted except for school hours. But now, she actually gets up at six o'clock in the morning and even goes for a morning run.

I can't even imagine what kind of life my granddaughter had to endure during the year she spent in the Cheng family, trying to please them!

After going downstairs.

Jiang Ning first jogged around the neighborhood twice, then practiced a set of Five Animal Frolics exercises, and didn't return home until two hours later.

Grandpa Jiang had already prepared breakfast: freshly steamed meat buns, porridge, and a plate of spicy cabbage.

Grandpa Jiang smiled and said, "Ningning, go wash your hands and get ready to eat."

"Okay, Grandpa." Jiang Ning went to the bathroom to wash her hands.

After washing my hands, I went to the restaurant and sat down to eat with Grandpa Jiang.

The morning sun shone through the window, casting a soft glow on the grandfather and grandson.

While eating, Grandpa Jiang said, "Ningning, your Grandpa Zhou is still in the hospital. I happen to be off today, so after breakfast, you can come with me to the hospital to see him."

"Okay." Jiang Ning nodded and took a sip of porridge.

After finishing their meal, Grandpa Jiang suddenly received a call from the supervisor asking him to work overtime, so he had to ask Jiang Ning to go to the hospital first.

Just before leaving, Grandpa Jiang handed Jiang Ning a card. "Ningning, this is the money Grandpa usually saves for you. The password is your birthday. You can use this card for your daily expenses from now on. Don't worry about not having enough money. Grandpa's money is more than enough to support you. If you run out, just ask Grandpa for more."

To provide for his granddaughter, after deducting the rent, Grandpa Jiang saves 1,500 yuan for her every month.

Jiang Ning looked at Grandpa Jiang and asked, "Grandpa, how much money do you have in this bank card?"

"Probably around thirty thousand," Grandpa Jiang replied.

Jiang Ning continued, "Then consider this money an investment in me. In ten days, at most ten days, I can increase the balance in this card tenfold. Grandpa, just wait for me to take you to live in a big villa!"

Although Grandpa Jiang smiled and agreed, he didn't take his granddaughter's words to heart.

How could a little girl like her have such great abilities?

Let alone ten days, she can double her bank account balance.

I'm afraid even ten months wouldn't be enough.

After saying goodbye to her grandfather, Jiang Ning took the nutritional supplements and went out to take the bus to the hospital.

About forty minutes later, she got off the bus.

Just as she reached the hospital entrance, a figure wearing sunglasses hurriedly walked past her.

But soon.

The man stopped, took off his sunglasses, revealing a flirtatious face, and struck up a conversation with her with a smile, "Beautiful lady, haven't we met somewhere before?"

Jiang Ning slightly raised her eyes.
