Chen Zhiyao didn't want to listen to her grandfather talking about Versailles at all. She quickly hooked another squid leg onto her fishing hook and then focused on fishing.
The grandfather and grandson had already caught most of the small fish on the surface, so she turned her gaze to the seabed.
"It would be great if there were a few more giant little green dragons this big."
"thump"
A slight ripple appeared on the sea surface, and the bait sank deeper and deeper into the seabed with the heavy sinker.
However, before it reached the bottom, it was swallowed by a long, thin marine creature.
Feeling a tug on the fishing rod in her hand, Chen Zhiyao immediately perked up.
"A fish has taken the bait so quickly! I wonder which unlucky fellow delivered himself to our doorstep?"
Although the fishing line was taut, the fishing rod in Chen Zhiyao's hand remained straight, and anyone with a discerning eye could tell that it was definitely a small fish.
The fish that took the bait wasn't very strong, and she wasn't really interested in fishing, so she quickly turned the handle of the reel.
Two minutes later, she pulled a long, thin, silvery ribbonfish out of the water.
This ribbonfish is quite plump, at least a meter long and three fingers wide, probably weighing more than a pound.
The fish wasn't big, and Chen Zhiyao easily flew it onto the deck.
Ribbonfish cannot leave the water. The ribbonfish that was writhing wildly in mid-air became motionless within two minutes of landing on the deck.
Seeing that the ribbonfish on the deck had gone to heaven to enjoy its happiness, Chen Zhiyao sincerely prayed for it:
"I hope you're reborn into a good family, so you won't be a fish in your next life."
I don't know if there's a spot for ribbonfish down there, but after eight casts, I caught five ribbonfish.
Chen Zhiyao quickly pulled up the ninth rod, revealing a plump sea fish the size of a fist.
It was getting dark, and she couldn't quite make out what kind of fish it was.
The smile on Chen Zhiyao's face vanished immediately after she flew the little guy onto the deck, and she muttered under her breath:
"It's actually a pufferfish, not even as good as the ribbonfish we just had."
Although ribbonfish is cheap, it tastes pretty good, unlike pufferfish, which can only be used to clean shoes.
"Let's go!"
The little pufferfish, as fat as a ball, was immediately tossed back into the sea by her.
The bait was quickly cast back into the sea, and this time it finally landed smoothly on the seabed.
There are many kinds of creatures in the sea. As soon as the bait is cast, all kinds of delicious seafood rush to feed.
Soon, Chen Zhiyao felt a fish bite the hook, and she instinctively stood up, lifted the rod, and set the hook.
When she felt the pull increase significantly, she knew the hook was firmly attached.
Feeling that the fish was quite strong, Chen Zhiyao was about to play it for a while when she realized something was wrong with it.
Although it wasn't completely still like a manta ray, its movements were extremely slow.
"Strong but slow-moving, could they be using a sunfish?"
Although the sunfish is large, it doesn't taste very good, and Chen Zhiyao doesn't like it much.
The creatures in the sea are quite strong, but they don't wander around aimlessly, so they're relatively easy to deal with.
Ten minutes later, she pulled a large octopus weighing over ten kilograms out of the water.
Octopus can sell for at least 30 yuan per pound, which is much better than sunfish, making Chen Zhiyao very happy.
Since catching that giant octopus, Chen Zhiyao has been catching mostly marine creatures that she wouldn't normally be able to catch.

Although catching lobsters and crabs was rather strange, Chen Zhiyao was still quite happy, after all, these things are expensive.
She was especially delighted by the sight of those several extra-large blue dragons, each weighing over a pound.
Just then, an enticing aroma of roasted meat wafted from behind, undoubtedly coming from the kitchen.
Chen Zhiyao touched her flat stomach; she was hungry again.
Although I didn't catch any big ones that night, I did catch quite a few valuable longtail snapper.
Having fished for several hours, I figured I could finally take a break.
In a good mood, Chen Zhiyao immediately called out:
"Grandpa, Dad, Second Brother, let's go have barbecue, it's on me."
It's already past 10 o'clock. The group has been fishing here for several hours, and their dinner has long been digested.
Upon hearing that they were going to have barbecue, the group quickly packed their things and walked towards the kitchen, chatting and laughing.
As soon as Chen Zhiyao and her group left, the other anglers, who hadn't caught anything good, started baiting their fishing spots.
They threw all sorts of bait and shrimp bricks into the sea like they were throwing money away.
The barbecue stalls on the ship had a pretty good variety of options. The refrigerator on the left had all sorts of grilled vegetables and meat skewers, while the right side had all sorts of fresh, lively seafood.
Chen Zhiyao picked out some of each of the following: grilled pomfret, grilled squid, grilled shrimp, beef skewers, pork belly, saury, green beans, enoki mushrooms, and grilled eggplant.
Then he turned to look at the three men still boasting about their fishing skills:
"Dad, what else do you want?"
The big eater Chen Hu immediately exclaimed, "Just eating barbecue isn't enough! How about another serving of stir-fried beef noodles or stir-fried rice vermicelli?"
Chen Weiqiang, who was standing nearby, immediately added:
"How can you eat barbecue without beer? Let's have a few more chilled ones..."
Before Chen Weiqiang could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Grandpa Chen standing beside him:
"We're going fishing later, why bother with alcohol? Let's get some mung bean soup, it'll help cool us down."
"Okay, okay."
Knowing that she would be fishing all night, Chen Zhiyao ordered one serving each of stir-fried beef noodles and stir-fried rice noodles, and even added extra eggs and meat.
It's only 10:30, and there aren't many people eating late-night snacks. The group waited for less than 10 minutes, and all the food was already grilled.
The kitchen was too smoky, so the group carried their food to the deck and enjoyed a barbecue while feeling the sea breeze.
They would occasionally utter a few words from Versailles, and passersby who heard them wanted to put sacks over their heads.
How can there be such an annoying person?
When Chen Zhiyao returned from the barbecue, she was pleasantly surprised to find that there were many more fish in the water.
There were dense clusters of small black shadows nearby, and even some larger sea fish were slowly approaching from a distance.
The fishing was pretty good in the second half of the night. Grandpa Chen, who originally planned to go back to sleep at 12 o'clock, stayed up until 2 o'clock and was reluctant to leave.
Finally, Chen Weiqiang forcefully pulled him back into the house.
Chen Zhiyao caught several groupers and became more and more energetic as she fished, without feeling tired or sleepy at all.

Except for Grandpa Chen, who was forcibly pulled back into the house, Chen Zhiyao, Chen Hu, and Chen Weiqiang fought until the morning of the next day.
After watching the sunrise, Chen Zhiyao finally couldn't stay awake any longer and went back to sleep with her eyes half-closed.
Grandpa Chen and the other early risers quickly went up to the deck to prepare for the last round of fishing.
