Chapter 442 Taking Advantage of the Situation

Chen Zhiyao, carrying her bountiful harvest with great joy, moved with light and nimble steps, like a happy little deer, towards the large puddle where Chen Weiqiang was.

Just as she reached about a third of the way into the large puddle, her eyes suddenly lit up.

There, nestled in a crevice in the rocks at my feet, was a huge crab curled up.

The crab was trembling slightly, seemingly quite frightened by these uninvited guests on the island.

"Wow, this blue crab is quite big! It must weigh over a pound!" Chen Zhiyao exclaimed excitedly, her eyes sparkling with delight.

Before the giant crab could react, she swiftly moved the claws in her hand and, with lightning speed, precisely clamped the big guy down.

With a smug smile on her face, Chen Zhiyao nimbly pulled the large blue crab out of the narrow crevice in the rock.

This big guy had an unusually fierce look in his eyes, but at this moment he was firmly under the control of the all-powerful clamp, and no matter how much he bared his teeth and claws, it was useless.

Just as she finished tying up the big guy, Chen Zhiyao looked down and noticed a small puddle on the edge of the reef below.

She walked over quickly and found several small fish swarming in the murky, muddy water.

These little guys were already quite frightened, and upon hearing footsteps, they panicked and began to rush around in the water.

Although the muddy water was extremely murky, it was still possible to clearly see several expensive fish inside.

Chen Zhiyao quickly bent over, wielding the multi-tool in her hands with great skill.

In no time, she scooped several delicious little fish out of the puddle.

Bluefin bream +1

Red sea bream +2

Black hair +1

Shi Jiugong +3

These small fish are not very big; the largest black-haired and blue-striped fish weigh only about a pound, and the stone goby fish weigh only two or three ounces.

However, the prices of these fish were quite good, and Chen Zhiyao happily bought them all.

The puddle was almost entirely filled with stones of all sizes, and Chen Zhiyao turned over the stones as she walked down.

There are a lot of conch shells here; there are several hidden under almost every rock.

Horseshoe snails, whelks, half-snails, spider snails, spicy snails, spiny snails, hairy clams, abalone...

When she carefully made her way down the steep slope to the bottom of the pit, the bucket she was carrying was already filled with colorful and differently shaped seashells.

Chen Zhiyao was happily admiring her harvest when she inadvertently glanced at a rock on her left.

Suddenly, an excited expression appeared on her face, as if she had discovered some rare treasure.

Chen Zhiyao walked over quickly and looked down to see a large, yellowish-brown conch lying quietly on the edge of the reef.

She eagerly stepped forward and picked it up, exclaiming in surprise:

"Wow! This conch must weigh at least a pound. This big thing can easily sell for two or three hundred yuan!"

Chen Zhiyao excitedly held the oversized conch in her palm and tapped the shell gently with her fingers a few times with great interest.

Immediately afterwards, a clear and melodious sound was heard.

Chen Zhiyao happily placed the precious conch shell into the bucket that was about to be filled.

At this moment, the sea snails in the bucket seemed to become more lively and crowded with the addition of the new member.

With her bucket in hand, Chen Zhiyao walked excitedly toward the bottom of the puddle.

Just as she was about to reach the bottom of the puddle, she suddenly caught a glimpse of something moving in a crevice in the rocks beside her.

Driven by curiosity, she slowly approached the crevice in the rock.

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a thick, powerful black and white tail swaying outside the crevice in the rock.

At first glance, she mistook its tail for that of a moray eel. But upon closer inspection, she realized it was actually a rather large dog shark.

Upon seeing this, Chen Zhiyao stepped forward without hesitation and tightly gripped the little tail with the clip in her hand.

Then drag it directly out of the narrow crevice.

As she continued to exert force, the slender dog shark gradually lost its hiding place, and its entire body was slowly pulled out of the crevice.

Before long, a dog shark weighing about two pounds was finally fully exposed in front of Chen Zhiyao.

Looking at her spoils, a satisfied smile appeared on her face.

By this time, the seawater at the lowest point had been completely drained by the pumps, exposing the fish that had been hiding in the water.

Chen Weiqiang, who was bent over catching fish in the cracks of the rocks, heard footsteps behind him and immediately stood up with a smile:

"Come quickly and help! There are lots of good things in this puddle."

As he spoke, he grabbed a large red eel that slid past his feet.

"Dad, you're pretty good."

"Of course, your dad grew up by the sea, after all."

Seeing that there were already several groupers in the bucket next to her, and that they were all quite big, Chen Zhiyao went into the water to help with the task with great anticipation.

Compared to Chen Weiqiang, who could only passively fish in the cracks of rocks, Chen Zhiyao, who had a cheat code, seemed to be in a much more relaxed and comfortable situation.

Through X-ray glasses, she could clearly see the various seafood hidden under the crevices in the rocks.

Without hesitation, Chen Zhiyao stretched out her hands, grabbed the huge rock in front of her, and then suddenly lifted it up.

As the stone was moved, the fish hidden underneath were suddenly revealed.

Several black-haired and yellow-legged lemurs were huddled together, their little tails wagging nervously.

Suddenly, the poor fish seemed to sense the approaching danger and began frantically wagging their tails, trying to escape their predicament.

However, due to the extremely limited amount of water around them, their efforts were in vain, and they were unable to swim at all.

Chen Zhiyao picked up the tongs from the bucket and quickly scooped the little fish in one by one.

With each fish she caught, a satisfied smile would appear on her face.

At that moment, a soft and crisp sound reached her ears.

The sound, like a fish gently swaying its tail in the water, immediately caught her attention.

Chen Zhiyao stopped and looked in the direction of the sound, her gaze finally landing on a crack in the stone at her feet.

She looked over curiously and saw several fish swimming happily in the depths of the crevice.

Upon closer inspection, they turned out to be two red-spotted fish weighing over a pound each, and a grouper weighing about half a pound.

Chen Zhiyao was so excited she almost jumped up; these were all top-quality seafood items that cost a fortune!

She was overjoyed and secretly marveled:

"I never imagined that such a precious treasure could be hidden in this inconspicuous crevice!"

Without hesitation, Chen Zhiyao reached out and quickly inserted the clamp into the crevice in the rock.

She moved quickly, but very gently, as if afraid of disturbing the adorable little creatures.

After some effort, she finally managed to pull out the red-spotted fish and the rat-spotted fish one by one.

Looking at the lively fish in her hand, Chen Zhiyao was overjoyed, as if she could already see the cute little money waving to her.
