Chapter 441 Scavenging for Seafood on the Reef Island (Part 3)

Soon, Chen Zhiyao stopped panting in front of a boulder.

The reef in front of her was about the same height as her, and it would take two adults to encircle and hug her.

Chen Zhiyao looked down and saw two slender conch shells, one large and one small, hidden in the crevice on the left.

She quickly bent down and picked up the giant, over a pound-plus bird on the left and put it into the bucket.

As for the smaller one, it looked to be only about two or three ounces and was a bit small, so she decided to let it go in the end.

Eat well and grow up quickly!

Chen Zhiyao had a smile on her face, but her voice was as wicked as the wolf in a fairy tale.

Then, she turned her gaze to the stone wall facing the sea.

Nourished by the waves day after day, a lush patch of goose barnacles and succulents grew next door.

These goose barnacles are like treasures bestowed by nature; although they are not numerous, each one is exceptionally plump and juicy.

Chen Zhiyao roughly estimated that the goose barnacles growing in this small area alone weighed at least four or five pounds.

The surrounding ring of general's hats looked like smaller abalone, weighing about two or three pounds in total.

However, faced with such tempting top-quality seafood, Chen Zhiyao did not pay too much attention to these little guys.

Instead, her gaze was firmly drawn to the mysterious figure deep within the crevice.

She quickly went around to the crevice in the rock and then excitedly squatted down.

Looking down inside, I discovered a nest of tiny, lush green dragons hidden deep within the crevice of the rock.

After just one glance, Chen Zhiyao beamed and reached into the tweezers in her hand.

Immediately afterwards, one after another, huge lobsters were squeezed out of the crevices in the rocks.

Just now, these little green dragons were hiding in the crevices of the rocks, and she thought they weren't very big when she looked at them from the outside.

After carefully prying them out of the cracks in the rocks, she was surprised to find that these little green dragons were much bigger than she had imagined.

The two largest ones were as long as two palms and looked to weigh at least one and a half pounds.

Even the three smaller ones looked to weigh around seven or eight ounces.

These five big guys weigh a total of five kilograms, which made Chen Zhiyao so happy she couldn't stop smiling.

After settling the large lobsters, she turned around with a satisfied smile and deftly pocketed the goose barnacles and the general's hat from the stone wall.

The harvest was so plentiful that Chen Zhiyao's net was quickly filled, and the bucket in her hand became heavy.

She took out a new net and, carrying her various catches of fish, continued walking forward happily.

After walking about two or three meters, she suddenly jogged to a pile of stones.

It turns out that a nest of oyster snails was hidden in the cave formed by two huge rocks leaning against each other.

Upon closer inspection, their shells were covered with a thick layer of brown moss, making them look dirty.

These conches are all huge, the biggest one weighs at least a pound.

Besides the layer of dark moss, several small and exquisite barnacles also grew on its body.

It looks exactly like a menacing alien creature.

Except for the largest one, the rest were all about the size of her fist.

These oyster shells are quite heavy in my hand, weighing at least four or five ounces.

After capturing them all, Chen Zhiyao quickly arrived at a small coral reef.

This coral reef is like a mysterious underwater castle, with colorful and diverse corals that look exceptionally beautiful against the backdrop of crystal-clear water.

And this place is simply a paradise for all kinds of seafood!

She only glanced at it briefly before being pleasantly surprised to discover many priceless treasures.

A large blue crab brandishes its powerful pincers, strutting about arrogantly; a dark sesame eel leisurely darts among the coral; a plump whelk clings tightly to the rocks; and two brightly colored red flower crabs...

The dazzling array of goods thrilled Chen Zhiyao, and her originally fair face flushed red with excitement.

Holding an empty net in one hand and a pair of clips in the other, she walked happily along the coral reef.

Blue Crab +2

Spider snail +2

Red Flower Crab +3

Conger eel +1

Sea urchin +4

Flower snail +6

Black sea bream +1

Clownfish +2

...

One after another, all sorts of wonderful things came into her view, and her once empty net bag was gradually filled up.

At this moment, Chen Zhiyao seemed to have transformed into a tireless treasure hunter, fully enjoying this gift from the sea.

Just as she was reveling in the joy of her harvest, she suddenly saw something as rare as a priceless treasure.

Chen Zhiyao quickened her pace and jogged to the left front.

Soon, she stopped in front of a small puddle that was about a meter deep.

Looking down, I saw a three- or four-pound grouper inside, its tail wagging impatiently.

In addition, there were two small red fish in the corner.

Suspension bridge grouper is very suitable for sashimi, so it is more expensive than regular grouper.

Chen Zhiyao immediately picked up the net, rolled up her sleeves, and excitedly prepared to catch the fish.

Seeing Chen Zhiyao's menacing approach, the fish in the water felt a strong sense of crisis.

So it quickly swam from one corner of the puddle to the other.

Unfortunately, the net behind them kept chasing after them, and before long, the big fish still fell into the net in Chen Zhiyao's hands.

The bucket at my feet was filled with too much stuff; this big guy simply couldn't fit it all.

Chen Zhiyao quickly went to her father, who was pumping water from a nearby pit, and brought him a new bucket.

After settling the grouper on the suspension bridge, she finally had the mind to look at the two beautiful little red fish that had been hiding in the crevice of the rock.

With a quick probe of her all-purpose tongs into the crevice, she snatched a plump, red parrotfish from the rock. The parrotfish, scientifically known as *Rhododendron roxburghii*, is also called the parrotfish or red wedge snapper.

These fish are called parrotfish because of their stunning colors and unique mouth shape.

Parrotfish typically choose to settle in areas with a mixture of reef and sand. These areas offer both hard rocks for hiding and soft sand for them to play in.

Parrotfish primarily feed on various small benthic animals. However, their absolute favorite food is undoubtedly coral polyps.

It's worth mentioning that parrotfish are remarkably united.

When one of its companions is in danger, the others will step forward without hesitation and rush forward without regard for their own safety.

After scooping up the two cute little fish, Chen Zhiyao casually scooped up a few purple sea urchins from the bottom as well.

Just as the net was pulled up, Chen Weiqiang's loud voice rang out from not far away:

"The puddle has been drained, everyone come quickly and catch fish!"

"Hey, I'm coming, I'm coming!" Chen Zhiyao grabbed the bucket and net and ran forward hurriedly.
