A beautiful photo every day
When Chen Zhiyao woke up in the morning, she checked the weather forecast, which said there would be a light breeze today.
When I arrived at the beach, I could indeed feel that the sea breeze was a bit stronger than yesterday, and the waves were noticeably higher than usual.
For safety reasons, the grandfather and grandson decided to go beachcombing at the nearby Seagull Island.
When she went out to sea, Chen Zhiyao noticed that there were more fishing boats fishing in the nearshore waters than usual, so it seemed that everyone had the same opinion.
After the fishing boat had been sailing for about half an hour, we could already see the outline of Seagull Island.
However, at this moment, Chen Zhiyao also noticed that there were fishing boats fishing on the back side of Seagull Island.
So she placed the fishing nets and traps in the waters in front of Seagull Island, so that the two fishing boats would not interfere with each other.
After setting up the fishing net, the grandfather and grandson rowed their small kayak to the island.
By this time, the tide had receded by half, revealing a large expanse of white sand.
Last night, it was windy, and as soon as the two arrived on the beach, they saw a large number of seashells that had been blown ashore by the strong wind.
A large expanse of seashells
Chen Zhiyao looked at the seashells in front of her, so densely packed that there was hardly any room to step.
However, most of these shellfish are just empty shells without any meat; only a small portion are edible.
Clams, clams, mussels, and white clams—all sorts of small seashells can be found on the ground.
"So many seashells! If we collect all of these, we'll probably have several hundred pounds of them," Chen Zhiyao exclaimed, and quickly squatted down to pick up the seashells.
Meanwhile, Grandpa Chen, who was standing to the side, had already collected several pounds of small seashells. He was quick and accurate, and soon he had a large handful of them.
Although this stuff is cheap, there's so much of it, and you can just reach out and pick it up.
No one was in the mood to speak anymore; their eyes scanned the seashells in front of them like scanners.
Besides the fresh seafood that was still edible, Chen Zhiyao also picked up some pretty little seashells.
The beach in front of us is almost entirely covered with seashells blown ashore by the strong winds.
The grandfather and grandson spent more than an hour picking and choosing, and the buckets and nets they brought were almost full.
Besides the seashells, Grandpa Chen also found a small piece of noodlefish that had been blown ashore by the strong wind.
Although the fish weren't worth much, they tasted quite good. The thrifty Grandpa Chen picked them all up with a broad smile.
It looks small, but there's more than half a bucket of it; enough to feed the family for a long time.
Chen Zhiyao looked at the pile of various small shellfish and estimated that it weighed more than 100 jin (50 kg).
Grandpa's side was even more exaggerated; the various small seashells piled up like a small mountain, weighing at least 200 pounds.
The grandfather and grandson had been busy for a long time and were now slumped on the beach to rest.
Chen Zhiyao laid out all the pretty seashells she had just picked up on the beach and then happily took pictures of them.
Various beautiful seashells
She planned to pack them up and give them to her two best friends to play with when she returned to Guangzhou later.
By then the sun had come out, and fearing that the small seashells would be damaged by the sun, the two transported them back to the fishing boat to keep them.
Grandpa Chen put all the noodle fish he picked up into the freezer to keep them frozen.
After resting for a while, the two of them, full of energy, went to the rocky beach to go beachcombing.
There was a strong wind last night, and there were quite a few good things here at the rocky beach.
As soon as she arrived, Chen Zhiyao spotted several eels that had been blown ashore by the strong wind. However, they were all small, weighing just over a pound each.
Grandpa Chen even found several dead sea fish, including expensive species like wrasse and black sea bream.
Just as Chen Zhiyao was about to turn on her X-ray glasses, she saw a huge orchid crab in front of her.
This guy is holding a small black sea bream and happily eating his breakfast.
Chen Zhiyao walked over quickly, mischievously snatched the fish from the crab's mouth, and then tied the poor fellow up tightly.

As I was walking, I suddenly stepped on something soft.
"What is that?" Chen Zhiyao was startled and quickly took two steps back.
Looking down, I realized it was a thick octopus leg.
The creature had completely hidden itself in the crevice, with only one leg sticking out, and just then, she stepped on it.
Lifting the stone in front of you reveals a large octopus weighing over two pounds clinging tightly to the bottom.
Just as Chen Zhiyao was about to pull it off, she suddenly remembered the sticky feeling when this thing wrapped around her arm last time, so she quickly picked up the universal tweezers.
The octopus, which had been clinging tightly to the rock, suddenly lost its strength after being touched by the all-purpose claws and obediently let itself be pulled into the bucket.

Soon, she spotted a giant hairy clam, almost as big as her fist, in a crevice in the rocks.
However, as soon as she picked it up, Chen Zhiyao felt that the weight was a bit off.
I thought it was just an empty shell, but when I opened it, there was a little octopus hiding inside.
"Haha, I didn't expect this unexpected surprise."
Chen Zhiyao smiled and picked up the little one from inside, placing it into the bucket of water beside her feet.

Then, she discovered a dense cluster of scallops in a small puddle.
These little guys aren't very big, but almost all of them are quite meaty.
Chen Zhiyao took two steps in one, quickly gathering these delicious little creatures into her possession.
Besides the water pit, there was also a small patch of scallops next to the rocks outside, totaling about 10 jin (5 catties).
Looking at the delicious little seashells in the bucket, Chen Zhiyao chuckled and muttered to herself:
"Not bad, not bad. I'll go back and dry some more dried scallops."
As she walked, Chen Zhiyao suddenly noticed two blue crabs fighting ahead.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be two large blue crabs fighting over a small fish.
A small, white fish was firmly held in four large pincers, with two larger fish trying to snatch the delicious breakfast away.
Unfortunately, in the end, no one succeeded. They were all tied up by Chen Zhiyao, and the little fish became her lunch.
Just then, Grandpa Chen's joyful voice came from not far away:
"Tangtang, there are lots of sea cucumbers here, come over quickly."
"Hey, here I come!"
Chen Zhiyao picked up the bucket and was about to stride forward when she looked down and saw a big creature hiding in the crevice of the rock.
This guy was well hidden, but his two long whiskers gave him away; he's a little green dragon.
Chen Zhiyao reached in with the clamps and quickly pulled the thing out. It was quite heavy, probably weighing about a pound.
Chen Zhiyao held the little green dragon in her hand high, her eyes full of joy:
"Grandpa, look at my little green dragon, isn't it big?"
Immediately afterwards, the old man happily took an even larger little green dragon from the bucket, showing it off with a joyful expression:
"Mine weighs almost a pound and a half."
"Old ginger is indeed spicier."
Before Chen Zhiyao even got there, she noticed a small patch of sea cucumbers in front of her. They weren't very big, but they were all quite fresh.
"Grandpa, I also have a large patch of sea cucumbers here. After you finish picking yours, come over here."
He quickly picked up the little black creatures and put them into his bucket.
Last night's strong winds brought a great gift to the grandfather and grandson; there were so many wonderful things to pick up on the rocky beach that they couldn't possibly collect them all.
