After regaining her balance, Chen Zhiyao looked down and saw that it was a giant blue crab.
This blue crab was bigger than any she had ever seen before, and its shell was covered with hard spines. It was clearly an ancient ancestor that had lived for many years.
She was so excited when she saw the huge abalone that she didn't notice the big blue crab and probably stepped on it by accident.
The creature seemed to be enraged, raising its two enormous pincers at her in an aggressive stance.
Two enormous pincers, seemingly capable of easily crushing anything in its way.
Chen Zhiyao felt a chill run down her spine; if she had been pinched, she probably would have been in pain for days.
Taking the initiative, she seized the opportunity and used the clamp in her hand to firmly clamp it.
"Smack!"
The claws struck the hard crab shell with a crisp sound.
Immediately afterwards, the nearly two-pound giant blue crab was firmly clamped by the claws and could no longer break free.
Chen Zhiyao did not give up, but quickly took out the cable ties and skillfully tied it tightly.
Extra Large Blue Crab +1
Looking at the large creature bound like a dumpling, Chen Zhiyao picked it up and weighed it in her hand with a good mood:
"This thing is really heavy, probably weighs about two pounds."
Such plump and delicious blue crabs should sell for at least 200 yuan per jin (500g), right? If we calculate based on that price, it would be around 400 yuan.
Thinking of this, Chen Zhiyao's eyes lit up like two bright stars.
She could almost see piles of money flying towards her. She was overjoyed, her mouth practically stretched to her ears in a wide grin.
She slowly placed the large object back into the bucket, then turned her attention back to the abalone she had just discovered.
These abalones quietly adhered to the stone wall, their shells covered with a thick layer of moss, making them look exactly like the stones behind them.
However, with her sharp eyes, she saw through their disguise at a glance.
These large abalones were stuck quite tightly, and Chen Zhiyao couldn't get them off even after tapping them several times with her sand shovel.
After thinking for a moment, she simply took the all-purpose tongs and used them to remove them one by one from the stone wall.
Extra Large Abalone +5
These abalone may not seem like many, but even just these few weigh two or three pounds.
Abalone this big aren't cheap.
Chen Zhiyao, a little money-grubber, had a smile on her face that was even brighter than spring flowers.
Sharing is worse than enjoying alone. After putting these precious items into the bucket, she turned and called out to the group still busy on the beach not far away:
"Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom, come over here quickly."
Most of the people who came with them went fishing, so they were the only ones doing beachcombing.
Therefore, Chen Zhiyao didn't need to hide anything and started waving her arms vigorously.
Seeing everyone heading this way, she continued walking forward with cheerful steps.
She had only walked a few steps when she suddenly noticed a dense mass of things on the rocks in front of her.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a nest of spicy snails. Although spicy snails are not expensive, they are very active and can easily survive for several days.
Chen Zhiyao happily accepted them all.
These snails are larger than those I usually see in China; just a handful weighs over a pound.
Just as she stood up, she saw a very beautiful orchid crab run sideways past her.
This eye-catching bag is so conspicuous that it's hard not to notice it.
Seeing that this guy was quite big, Chen Zhiyao chased after him without saying a word.
However, it was too late. After chasing for only two or three meters, it disappeared into a crevice under a huge reef.
Chen Zhiyao squatted on the ground, trying to use the tongs in her hand to grab the big crab inside, but the guy hid too deep and the tongs couldn't reach it at all.
Just as she was racking her brains trying to figure out how to get the crab out, she suddenly noticed a straight, long branch next to her.
"Got it!"
On a sudden impulse, she quickly picked up a branch and stuck it into the crevice to poke at it, desperately trying to provoke it.
The orchid crab was quickly enraged, viciously grabbing the branch in front of it as if to break it off.
Chen Zhiyao felt the branch in her hand being clamped by the orchid crab inside, and immediately pulled it out.
Immediately afterwards, the branch, along with the large crab on it, was pulled out of the crevice.
The orchid crab reacted quite quickly. Seeing that it was about to be pulled out, it immediately let go at the entrance of the hole and then hurriedly ran inside.
Chen Zhiyao reacted quickly and immediately grabbed it with a pair of clips.
"Wow, what a huge crab! It seems like every crab here weighs over a pound."
Others heard the noise and ran over. When they saw the big crab and all the good stuff in her bucket, they all gave it a thumbs up.
"Amazing! Amazing!"
"Tangtang's luck is absolutely phenomenal!"
"She's just like me, no wonder she's my daughter!"
"Shameless, she clearly takes after me."
Like a victorious little rooster, Chen Zhiyao triumphantly put the crabs into the bucket.
Then they couldn't wait to continue searching for other good things on the beach.
As she walked, she discovered a rock covered with small oysters, and also a number of particularly large snails.
She didn't want the oysters, but the whelks on top were a good thing.
Chen Zhiyao happily bent down and picked up the spicy snails, and soon she had collected a large handful.
Just as I was about to get up and leave, my peripheral vision caught sight of a rock next to me.
Surprisingly, a plump sea cucumber was lying quietly in the corner. The sea cucumber lazily stretched its body, and its spines were particularly eye-catching.
Chen Zhiyao couldn't resist reaching out and poking it; it felt soft and had a nice texture.
Sea cucumber +1
By this time, the seawater had almost receded to the very back, and all sorts of wonderful things were becoming more and more abundant.
Chen Zhiyao wandered around and soon found two more plump sea cucumbers, and there were also a few sea urchins with long spines in the bucket.
Before long, she made another discovery!
There was a large octopus weighing four or five pounds, clinging tightly to a big rock, as if it were its last lifeline.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the guy was also injured.
One of the tentacles was bitten off by something, leaving only half of it, while the other tentacles were also injured to varying degrees.
This guy's injuries are quite severe. Even if we put him back into the ocean, he probably won't live long. It's better to let her have him.
With the all-purpose tongs in hand, the giant octopus could only pitifully surrender.
"So heavy!"
Chen Zhiyao could barely pick up this four- or five-pound octopus with one hand.
