Chapter 138 Capturing Hong Haoyue

This immediately drew everyone out of the group chat. Everyone knew what they were going there for, and no one asked any other questions. They just sent some blessings and prayers.

Lin Hu didn't have time to reply. After taking the photos, he immediately closed the system and left with the two of them.

When they arrived at the spot where they had fallen, they discovered that the ground had miraculously returned to its original state. No wonder the "doctor" hadn't come back.

Lin Hu was afraid that the "doctor" would come out, find someone had gone in, and then turn back, so he had someone quickly take the photos and leave.

The mechanism inside was obvious, and the three of them quickly came out to find the other two to meet up.

While Hong Haoyue was away, Wen Mofei and Chen Xing sneaked into his office.

Unexpectedly, Hong Haoyue returned and sat down in her office chair to start working, trapping the two of them behind the bookshelf.

The two could only chat through the system. Wen Mofei was afraid of a TV drama plot, so he also explained the situation to Duan Linzhou and the others in case they suddenly called.

"Knock knock knock!"

"Come in!"

A knock suddenly sounded at the door, and Hong Haoyue casually replied in a slightly hoarse voice.

He didn't intend to get up, nor did he look to see who came in; he focused solely on the documents in his hands.

When Hong Haoyue and the others got closer, they glanced up at the other person, then looked back at the documents in their hands and asked, "What is it?"

"Mr. Hong." The "doctor," wearing a white coat and black-rimmed glasses, opened his system, took out a cell phone from his backpack, and handed it to Hong Haoyue.

Hong Haoyue looked up and stared at the other person for a few seconds before folding the documents in her hand and placing them aside. She then reached out and took the phone from the other person's hand.

The phone had no password. Hong Haoyue swiped up to turn on the screen, and a video that had been paused appeared on the screen.

Hong Haoyue glanced at "Doctor" again with a puzzled look, then reached out and clicked play on the screen.

The video shows the "doctor" documenting the results of his research on the man in the iron cage over the past week.

As the process progressed, Hong Haoyue's face gradually became filled with joy. The "doctor" observed the changes in Hong Haoyue's expression, and his face also gradually became tinged with the joy of being successfully cleansed, with an unusual frenzy in his eyes.

"If you succeed, quickly go and study more details," Hong Haoyue immediately instructed the "doctor."

“Mr. Hong, this time won’t work.” The “doctor” disagreed. He wanted to let the monster rest a little longer before bleeding it out, as first-generation blood would definitely be more effective than second-generation blood.

He didn't want to kill the monster directly this time; he wanted to keep it alive and extract its blood little by little, and also use it to research another enhanced version of zombie blood.

"Reason?" Hong Haoyue was puzzled and somewhat dissatisfied.

The "doctor" noticed that Hong Haoyue was full of emotion, but he didn't care at all. As long as the other party could help him fulfill his dream, he didn't care.

"We can keep it alive and use a small amount of its blood each time. If we kill it and inject its blood into other people, and then use the blood of other infected people, it will be diluted with second-generation blood, and the effect will be far less than that of first-generation blood." The "doctor" patiently explained to Hong Haoyue with a smile.

As Hong Haoyue listened, he pondered. It seemed to make sense. He wasn't a researcher, and he didn't understand it. All he needed to know was that his skills could control it. So, he immediately waved his hand and handed the whole matter over to the "doctor."

After the doctor left, the two people who had been eavesdropping behind the bookshelf were dumbfounded.

They both saw shock and anger on each other's faces. Fortunately, Wen Mofei didn't forget to record the conversation while listening, and the recording appeared in the private group that Duan Bohai had created.

Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou were also in that group. After listening to the voice message, Lin Hu had a bold plan in mind.

After sending a message and attacking Guozi to Wen Mofei, Lin Hu still rushed over with Duan Linzhou and Chen Mingyao.

Feeling that the speed was too slow, Lin Hu took out a teleportation card and located himself near their building.

Just as they reached the bottom of the building, a series of loud explosions came from the top floor. The three of them glanced at the explosions and then rushed to provide support.

Lin Hu saw Chen Mingyao about to rush into the building. Was he planning to run up the stairs? This building looked to be almost 30 stories high.

Lin Hu flew over directly, grabbed the person's waist, and flew upwards. Because it was not early, there were only one or two people wandering outside. Faced with this situation, they would only think about running away and would not think about going up to check the situation.

Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou led Chen Mingyao directly through the row of broken French windows on the wall, where they saw a charred ruin that had been extinguished by water.

Since the person wasn't there, they could only look around the neighborhood. They had only been up there for a few seconds, so the person was definitely still nearby.

Finally, following the trail, they found Wen Mofei and Chen Xing, one against two, in the woods behind the mountain.

Lin Hu put Chen Mingyao down and then went over to him.

Duan Linzhou followed closely behind. Knowing he couldn't help, Chen Mingyao hid behind a tree to avoid distracting them by worrying about him.

"Are you alright?" Lin Hu went up and asked. Although the two looked fine, he couldn't help but ask.

"It's nothing, how about you guys?" Wen Mofei wasn't asking randomly; both of them were covered in mud, especially Lin Hu, who was still wearing white shoes, which had turned yellow.

"We're fine here too," Lin Hu replied calmly, his gaze fixed on Hong Haoyue, who was preparing to make a move.

Yan sent out a blast of ice silk, which the opponent easily dodged, before shifting her attention from Wen Mofei to Lin Hu.

Upon seeing the flame on Lin Hu's shoulder, he exclaimed with sudden realization, "You're Lin Hu!"

It's not a question, it's a certainty!

Because Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou had both disguised themselves, he only recognized Wen Mofei among the group, and naturally regarded Wen Mofei as the leader.
