“He’s the doctor I was talking about,” Chen Mingyao said, leaning closer to Lin Hu. His voice wasn’t loud, but it was enough for him and Duan Linzhou to hear him clearly.
"He's that weirdo, how come he's involved with zombies?"
"He must have created those zombies!"
"He really is a weirdo, only hanging out with monsters!"

Scattered sounds reached their ears from the surroundings. Lin Hu noticed that the monster was wearing a collar around its neck, and the "doctor" also had a similar bracelet on his wrist, which he inadvertently revealed.
The monster's gaze towards the "doctor" wasn't one of loyalty, but rather one of fear. It seemed that the "doctor" must have something on those zombies that made them obey him, perhaps it was that bracelet.
This discovery was secretly told to Duan Linzhou and those around him, so that they could find a way to capture the "doctor" and take the bracelet.
"What are you whispering about? I want to go over and listen too." The doctor's sinister voice came again. He looked at the monster beside him and slapped the monster's face with his white-gloved hand.
"Hurry, I need to get there!"
The monster paused after being slapped, then reached out to grab the nearest zombie. Due to the infection and mutation, its hand had become much larger, and it crushed the head of the zombie it had pulled over with a single slap.
Lin Hu and the others watched as the monster casually tossed the zombie's lifeless body to the ground. He then stuffed the crystal core he had just taken from the zombie's head into his mouth, crunched it, and swallowed it.
He accelerated his pace again, paving a path across the sea, much faster than before. Sun Xiaoxiao's phoenix was exhausted and returned to her arm to quietly become a tattoo. Now, only the black panther was left to deal with the situation.
Only then did everyone realize that the monster wasn't incapable of exhaustion, but rather that it was constantly replenishing its power using crystal cores.
There were also quite a few fire-type ability users on the raft, but because they had been swimming in the sea for too long, they had not yet recovered their strength, and most of them were unconscious.
There are still people in the sea who haven't come up yet, and Lin Hu can't use attack fruits for fear of harming others.
Just then, I sensed something swimming in the sea—not just one, but a whole group.
A fish tail briefly appeared on the surface of the sea before sinking again. The next second, a group of sharks leaped on the surface, like a performance, systematically shattering the ice flowers that had formed on the sea.
A blue fishtail slapped the sea where the "doctor" was standing, splashing seawater like a bucket of water.
The doctor quickly pulled the monster next to him, but his clothes inevitably got wet.
A giant whale surfaced, with three mermaids sitting on it.
They are Belle, Winsie, and the big-waisted mermaid—Senna.
They're all acquaintances.
Because she was blind, Wenxi covered her two ugly holes with a cloth strip, and she still held the flute in her hand.
"Linhu!" Belle waved and greeted Linhu in the center of the raft with a smile, just as lively as before.
It seems the matter has been resolved.
Lin Hu returned the smile as a greeting.
When Belle called out to Lin Hu, Wen Xi stiffened slightly. She remembered that she had locked Lin Hu up as well to get revenge for locking her up, but that was just a beautiful dream she had carefully woven for him.
If he is unaware of this and enjoys this beautiful dream, he will remain asleep in it forever, unable to wake up.
She didn't know how Lin Hu woke up, but without that "weapon," they would have had a hard time winning the battle against Theo these past few days.
After learning from Belle that the item belonged to Lin Hu, she was afraid that Lin Hu would retaliate. So, as soon as they heard that they had encountered trouble, they rushed over to try to salvage their relationship.
At least avoid situations that lead to war.
Lin Hu was unaware of their ulterior motives; he just wanted to resolve the immediate issue as quickly as possible.
Before the "doctor" could react, Wenxi put the flute to his lips, and Belle and Sena began to hum along loudly, their ethereal voices echoing throughout the sea.
The marine life is no longer as unruly as before; this time it is conscious and moving toward its target.
The black panther retreated and shrank back into Duan Linzhou's pet space to replenish the energy it had just used up.
With the sharks rapidly destroying everything in their path, the monster clearly couldn't keep up and was gradually overtaken.
"Useless!" the "doctor" cursed under his breath, then pressed the bracelet on his wrist. The monster suddenly roared to the sky, then, as if it had lost its mind, reached out to grab the heads of several zombies next to it. The zombies were under his control and did not run away.
Watching the monster stuff the dozen or so crystal cores it had just obtained into its mouth before running straight towards the sea surface.
Shockingly, he ran on the sea, and every step he took instantly froze the ground. He quickly reached the raft.
On the raft, those closest to the other side, whether standing or lying down, were all retreating.
“Don’t push!”
"Help! Help! Don't come any closer!"
Another explosion occurred on the raft, causing panic once again. People on the side frantically waved their supernatural abilities to attack the monster, but the monster blocked with its hands in front of it, its arms as hard as a shield, and continued to walk forward fearlessly.
He was followed by a "doctor" and zombies. Even though there were many sharks crashing into the ice behind him, they only left cracks. This ice was obviously harder than the previous one.
Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou handed over the position of guarding the wooden house to Sun Xiaoxiao and Chen Mingyao, and led a few people to the side to stop the noise.
"Quiet, stand back and don't move, don't make a sound!" Chen Xing was still as roguish as ever, and the powerful lightning crackling in his hands was telling the others that he was a level five lightning-type ability user, which was a veiled threat to them not to get in the way.
