“No.” Lin Hu said, pointing to the “No Fishing” wooden sign that Wen Bozhi had erected to protect the small fish fry.
"Then why are you still fishing?" the uncle asked, puzzled. Seeing the two men's confident and even carefree expressions, the uncle asked uncertainly, "Are you the owners?"
“No.” Lin Hu shook his head again, but pointed at Duan Linzhou, “but he is the island lord’s son.”
The middle-aged man had originally planned to come and fish with the two of them, but these words made him tremble and stop, unsure whether to stay or leave.
Lin Hu could tell he was a fishing enthusiast; after all, the fish he had just released were meant to be caught and taken to the kitchen.
This guy looks like he hasn't fished in a long time, and now he's really craving it.

Afterwards, the three sat down side by side. The uncle originally planned to stay away to increase his chances of catching fish, but when he thought of Duan Linzhou's identity, he decided to try to build a good relationship with him, so he sat down next to him.

"Are you lovers?"
Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou turned to look at each other. There was no disdain in each other's eyes, but rather an indescribable sense of melancholy and regret.
"Yes, we are lovers, and soon to be lovers." Duan Linzhou nodded, for the first time giving a serious answer to the other person's question.
Lin Hu was clearly taken aback. As far as he knew, a lover was a couple, and a spouse was a husband and wife. Did he mean he was going to marry him?!
Upon having this thought, Lin Hu immediately felt embarrassed. He felt awkward looking at everyone, so he could only pretend to be calm, ignore the two of them, and continue fishing on his own.
The middle-aged man standing nearby suddenly sighed, “My son’s girlfriend is also a man. I didn’t understand it before, but he never contacted me again. He only sent me supplies on the designated days without leaving a word. Now I realize how precious it is to have someone who is truly sincere in your life in this world…”
The uncle spoke with a long sigh, stroking a pocket watch in his hand.
