This is something older generations like to use to store photos. This uncle is clearly not the type to use a pocket watch to store photos; it must have been left by an elder in his family.
Then, Lin Hu saw that the pocket watch was about to be opened. To Lin Hu's surprise, the pocket watch was folded, and when it was opened, it looked like a document being reviewed.
Each side has a photo, but the photos are small, about the size of a mineral water bottle cap, and you can't make out what the people in the photos look like.
However, there are probably seven or eight photos. The designer of this pocket watch is truly talented!
After fishing for an hour, Lin Hu lost patience. If he could catch something, he would definitely continue fishing. The problem was that he didn't catch a single fish, while the uncle caught more, and Duan Linzhou had to take a backseat.
After the two left, the uncle didn't linger and followed them back to the celebration banquet.
When I arrived, I saw Ao Jinjin leading Boss Zhou around from table to table. The reason was simple: he liked to eat crayfish, but there was only one serving per table, which wasn't enough for him, so he ate from all over the place.
Since Boss Zhou can't take it with him, after Lin Hu and the others leave, Ao Jinjin will have to spend more time with it.
Lin Hu is only now starting to have Ao Jinjin wear it all the time, since the "stand-in" can only mimic behavior and mannerisms, not emotions.
Lin Hu and Duan Linzhou found Cheng Yuan's table, making a total of ten people including the two of them.
After eating, the two returned to the raft.
Lin Hu walked to the door, paused, and looked at the home he had built with his own hands, suddenly feeling reluctant to leave.
"What are you standing there for? Aren't we going to have them have a barbecue tonight?" Duan Linzhou pulled Lin Hu out of his reverie and took his hand, leading him into the room.
As it was getting dark, Cheng Yuan came over with his sister and Xi Yuan to help. Liu Xu and Sun Xiaoxiao had also been busy there for a while.
Zhang Hu didn't come; his wife is pregnant, and because of what happened before, he's being extra careful with her now.
Just then, Wen Mofei arrived; he had just helped Liu Xu close the shop door.
"Don't just stand there, come and help!" came Liu Xu's voice, which was trying hard to suppress something.
When everyone looked over, they realized that she was holding down a large fish that was struggling and thrashing about on the cutting board.
Just then, the big fish broke free of its restraints and fell from the table to the ground, where it struggled even more fiercely.
Everyone rushed out to catch fish, even though they could have used their superpowers, but it seemed like no one thought of it or reminded them.
Amidst the noisy laughter and chatter, this was the scene Lin Hu encountered when he brought the marinade out of the kitchen.
Duan Linzhou and Wang Fuqing did not participate; they stood on the sidelines watching and tried their best not to block the way.
"Don't just stand there, come and help." Lin Hu went over and gestured for the two of them to follow him to the side to marinate and skewer the meat.
Everyone found something to do, and the lively atmosphere continued until nightfall.
Lin Hu took out the barbecue grill, put the charcoal that Sun Xiaoxiao had prepared earlier into the grill, and then took out a grill for roasting a whole lamb.
After processing them and setting up the marinated lamb rack, I pressed the automatic rotation button and sat down next to Duan Linzhou.
Girls pay more attention to the atmosphere. Sun Xiaoxiao, Liu Xu, and Cheng Miaomiao decorated the open space with some colored lights and set up low wooden tables and small stools.
After finally having some free time, everyone started talking about their future and the past.
"I actually wanted to be a game streamer before, but reality defeated me," Cheng Yuan said with a hint of regret, bringing her beer to her lips and drinking it all in one gulp.
"Oh, what a coincidence, I used to be a game developer, but my family didn't approve. Luckily, Brother Duan and Brother Fu Qing supported me, otherwise I would have had to go home and inherit the family business." Wen Mofei had no idea how much people hated him for saying that.
He only dares to say this because his brother is busy with Chenming Island and not present.
"So what do you want to do in the future?" Lin Hu asked curiously, wanting to know what kind of ideas they might have in the apocalypse.
"Me!" Cheng Yuan excitedly raised her hand. "I want to develop my shop into the most popular shop on the entire Qinglong Island."
Cheng Yuan has also rented a piece of land on the back mountain from Duan Bohai to grow vegetables. Although the quality is not as high as what Lin Hu gave him, there are not many people on the island who know how to grow vegetables, so he can make some money from it.
"I want to open a martial arts school!" Liu Xu said, her eyes filled with longing for the future. It was clear that she had been thinking about this for a long time.
"I... I want to be a food vlogger." Sun Xiaoxiao said shyly. Ever since the kids loved her roasted sweet potatoes, she has become even more passionate about cooking.
She chose to become a food vlogger because she observed that many people on Qinglong Island didn't know how to cook for themselves and always bought food from the cafeteria.
Those who work are fine; their meals are free. But those who don't work have to use crystal cores to buy food. One serving is enough for them to buy groceries and cook for themselves twice.
Moreover, she doesn't need to show her face to be a streamer, so she won't feel embarrassed because she's introverted. It's a hobby, and she can also earn some tips.
"I want to start a school to teach the children on the island." Cheng Miaomiao's voice was soft, just loud enough for everyone to hear.
This was something no one had expected, and everyone looked at Cheng Miaomiao, making her feel a little embarrassed.
"Why did you decide to start a school?" Lin Hu asked curiously, as did everyone else.
"Because I discovered that many of the children on the island could only read, but didn't know how to do math," Cheng Miaomiao explained. She also found many people on the island who had worked as teachers before the apocalypse.
He originally planned to tell Duan Bohai about this, but facing someone like Duan Bohai who was a big shot both before and after the apocalypse, he was instinctively a little afraid.
This is also due to the influence of Xi Yuan's parents on her.
