Clicking on the first item with a price of zero reveals a book that enlarges on the screen. It's labeled "RV Building Manual," and before Lin Hu can react, the first page automatically flips to the next. It lists the process numbers for building the RV, but the page is only shown to Lin Hu before automatically closing.
Lin Hu originally intended to sell the trucks directly to other players, but he abandoned the idea because other players couldn't carry the trucks in their backpacks like he could.
But now that 1097 has actually published this book, it proves that there must be a solution, and wouldn't selling it as a motorhome be more profitable than selling a truck?
Lin Hu quickly clicked on the next new product, which was a picture of a paint bucket. Clicking on it revealed a description: it has a scent that zombies and mutated beasts dislike, and can be applied to objects to repel zombies (system prompt: as long as you don't actively provoke them, mutated beasts/zombies will avoid you). Available colors include red, yellow, blue, green, purple, pink… Price: 150 Level 3 Crystal Cores for 20 liters.
I'm really moved!
Lin Hu quickly clicked "next," and it was a Rubik's Cube, but all its faces were black. According to the description, it was a RV storage device, similar to a prop space. It cost 50 level 3 crystal cores each, which wasn't expensive, probably because each cube could only store one object, and only the first item stored, much like a car key.
Lin Hu thought to himself, "This is great! I can sell my RV and Rubik's Cube together as a package deal."
There was another new item, but it was a blank space and didn't display anything. Seeing that the price was 10 level 3 crystal cores, Lin Hu remembered what 1097 had said about the good stuff and decisively spent 10 level 3 crystal cores to buy it. If it was bad, he would consider it a loss.
[1097: Ding-dong! Congratulations, host, you have received a weather forecast. It has been installed in the upper right corner of this system. Click to view the current natural disaster~]
"So you're saying I can predict every natural disaster?!" Lin Hu suddenly sat up in shock, as if he were on his deathbed.
[1097: Yes, that's right~]
Lin Hu clicked on the word "Weather" in the upper right corner, and a system message popped up asking whether he wanted to consume 10 level-3 crystal cores to check the weather.
Lin Hu: ...
So that's what they were waiting for all along because it was cheap.
After clicking to confirm the purchase, a message popped up saying "Disgusting fog." This raises a question: fog is fog, so why is it disgusting?
Lin Hu got up to wash up and check the weather outside.
"Won't you sleep a little longer?" Duan Linzhou leaned closer and reached out to put the coat he had just taken on Lin Hu's clothes.
"It's still cold outside, don't catch a cold." Duan Linzhou helped Lin Hu put on her clothes and then stepped back a little. His movements were so natural that Lin Hu didn't even have time to react before the clothes were on.
"Okay, I'm going to wash up." Lin Hu felt a little awkward; it had been a long time since she had been treated this way, and she wasn't used to it.
Lin Hu squeezed toothpaste onto his toothbrush and went outside while brushing his teeth. Sure enough, there was still no sun outside, and it seemed foggy; even the small island in the distance was hazy. The temperature was much better than during the extreme cold, but the sea breeze had already been a bit chilly on the raft.
Lin Hu quickly went back inside, washed up, and then took out a 4.2-meter-long truck and the book.
Following the book's first introduction, he spent ten Level 3 crystal cores to activate the car scanner in the survival system, which could display cars in 3D perspective on the survival system interface. This greatly facilitated his design drawings, as the size and layout of objects were very important.
After finishing these tasks, he took a pen, ruler, and paper from the warehouse back to his room, intending to try designing something. He chose to build the 4.2-meter truck first for two reasons: first, he was afraid he wouldn't have enough time to make it on his next trip to the island; second, he was afraid that the truck would be too big and he wouldn't have the experience to ruin it.
Seeing that Lin Hu was busy, Duan Linzhou went out to collect fruit by himself. As soon as he stepped out, he saw a truck parked on the raft.
Duan Linzhou was very fast; in less than an hour, he had collected all the attack fruits. He even came in to turn off the fire and waited until the porridge was cool enough before serving it to Lin Hu.
After serving the porridge to the other person, he had nothing else to do, so he sat down and drank the porridge with Lin Hu. Although he couldn't taste the flavor himself, he was recovering from a serious illness and it was fine to drink something light.
While eating porridge, Lin Hu casually placed the blueprints on the coffee table. His blueprints were very well drawn, and Duan Linzhou then realized what Lin Hu was planning to do by releasing the truck.
"Are you building a motorhome?" Duan Linzhou picked up the blueprints and examined them closely. The drawing skills were excellent, and the dimensions were even thoughtfully marked in red.
"Yes!" Lin Hu tilted his head back, finished the bowl of white porridge, put down the bowl, and nodded happily.
"I plan to sell it to others after I finish making it." Lin Hu reached out and added another bowl for himself.
"You can't eat anymore. Your stomach has just recovered, so you shouldn't eat too much," Duan Linzhou said, reaching out to stop the bowl of the person next to him and placing it in front of himself.
"Just one more bowl. It's only eight o'clock now. I'll starve to death by lunchtime." Lin Hu reached out to take his bowl back, but Duan Linzhou grabbed his wrist. The other man's hand was bigger and stronger than his own. He tried to shake him off but couldn't, so he gave up.
“Making a motorhome is fine, but if we sell it, will the buyer be able to take the raft with them? Do you have a solution?” Duan Linzhou was sure he wouldn’t do something pointless, so he must have a plan in mind.
"Hmm." Lin Hu opened the bucket of paint, the Rubik's Cube, and the RV building book he had bought in his backpack and showed them to Duan Linzhou.
"These are the rewards I received for leveling up on the island yesterday," Lin Hu said, showing the descriptions of each item to the other person.
"I have plenty of this Rubik's Cube and paint in my warehouse on the island." Lin Hu was now spouting utter nonsense without any shame.
