Chapter 32 The Next Leader

"I heard you're a god sent by God?" As soon as Vanir opened his mouth, Lin Hu felt a wave of breath wash over him, and he frowned and took a step back.

This made Vanir think that the other party was afraid of him, and he burst into laughter.

"Hahaha... This is a god? You must be so scared you wet your pants."

Lin Hu silently bent down, grabbed a handful of yellow sand from the ground, and stuffed it directly into the other person's mouth.

"You have bad breath, I'll cure it for you." Lin Hu said, waving his hand in disgust.

At that moment, Duan Linzhou grabbed his hand and took a half-dry cloth to wipe it.

Lin Hu, a little embarrassed, took the handkerchief and wiped himself.

"Cough cough... You, you dare to treat me like this? I'm the next leader!" Vanir spat out the yellow sand from his mouth and roared angrily.

He reached out to grab the other person's neck, but Lin Hu seemed to have foreseen this and had already moved back a few steps. Vanir was blocked by the dining table in front of him, so he took out an axe and chopped the wooden table in half with one swing.

He was indeed very strong, and for a tribe that needed to hunt for a living, he was the right person to be the leader.

But Lin Hu didn't agree with him.

Duan Linzhou's mission destined them to move towards the next step in the future, a future that would require both brains and strength.

"You're thinking of usurping the throne before I'm even dead? You're up to no good, old man," Wen Mofei retorted.

Although the other party might only be in their early thirties, when he thought of what Vanawi had said about her being given to him, wasn't that just an old cow eating young grass?

"You..." Vanir turned to glare at Wen Mofei, but a water sphere covered his head, preventing him from making a sound or breathing.

"What do you mean, 'you'? He's not easy to bully, but I am?" Wen Mofei controlled his supernatural ability so that the other party could hear his voice.

"Alright, stop playing around like that." Wen Bozhi patted his younger brother on the shoulder.

Wen Mofei stopped, and the water sphere that was originally above Vanir's head lost its supernatural control and returned to normal, falling directly down and soaking the only tiger-skin skirt on the other party's body.

"Pfft!" Wang Fuqing couldn't help but laugh out loud. He was usually calm, but he couldn't hold back this time. It was all because of Vanir's tangled long hair and colorful feathers.

Lin Hu wanted to laugh, but he held it in.

"Hahahahaha..." Wen Mofei and Wang Fuqing burst into laughter, completely disregarding whether the person involved was alive or dead.

"What are you looking at? Arrest them!" Vanir roared angrily at the people around him. This was the most humiliating and furious day of his life.

The people around just looked at each other blankly, and no one stepped forward to help.

Vanir didn't know about that exploding red sphere, did they? Who would dare go?

"Alright, you wait here. I'll go and have my father kick you all out of the tribe." Vanir said, then turned back in a sorry state.

Many people were worried because of what Vanir said, since it would be safer to stay in the tribe, and if they went out, they would be swallowed up by the fog.

This is their understanding of the fog. They have never traveled far from home. Before the fog, they would just wander around the area near their tribe.

Lin Hu noticed their worry and called Wanawei and Wasi to the back of the RV.

The brother and sister were stunned and dumbfounded as Lin Hu conjured up a table and three chairs out of thin air, feeling somewhat at a loss for what to do.

"Sit down," Lin Hu said, gesturing for the two to sit down in front of him. He only spoke after they were seated.

"Do you want an endless supply of food?" Lin Hu said, taking a plate of fruit out of his backpack and pushing it in front of the two of them, while he himself held a cup of warm bubble tea and started drinking.

On such a gloomy day, one should drink something warm. He glanced at Vassi's bare upper body in front of him.

I wonder if they don't feel the cold? Or are they just too thick-skinned?

"Yes!" The brother and sister exchanged a glance and nodded emphatically at Lin Hu.

“Alright, if you can kill Vanir and Vas, I’ll tell you a secret that can feed countless people.” Lin Hu said mysteriously, while observing the other’s expression.

“Okay!” Vassi nodded in agreement.

Lin Hu was surprised that the other party agreed so quickly and showed no aversion, and didn't even reply in their tribal language.

"Then, come find me early tomorrow. I'll give you some fruit," Lin Hu said to the two of them, then got up and left.

Vassi took Vanavie away, and those around them, having taken their food, dared not linger, fearing they might become the next Vanir.

As night fell, Lin Hu asked Cheng Yuan for a divided hot pot, intending to make hot pot.

I originally wanted to invite a few people to come and eat together, but they all triggered missions and couldn't get away.

In the evening, everyone prepared the ingredients together, using spicy chicken and clear broth as the base for the hot pot.

I only washed three kinds of vegetables: cabbage, lettuce, and Shanghai bok choy. The main dishes were meat: two plates each of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as dried bean curd sticks, tofu, bean curd sheets, shrimp paste, fish balls, beef balls, potato slices, and duck blood.

Several people washed, chopped, and arranged the vegetables, then sat at a newly set square table outside, waiting for Lin Hu to stir-fry spicy chicken.

Lin Hu set up a pot next to him, stir-fried the food, and brought it directly to the table, pouring it into a double-compartment hot pot. Luckily, the hot pot was big, otherwise it would have overflowed.

Clear broth is easy to make; just add lard, scallions, ginger, and tomatoes to water.

Before the meal, everyone took photos. The group photo was posted in their own group chat, while those who didn't show their faces anonymously posted it in the chat area.

Apart from Lin Hu, it was the first time for all of them to eat hot pot, and it wasn't the super spicy beef tallow hot pot they had in mind.

It was a very novel way to eat it. Lin Hu even prepared a southern-style dipping sauce for them. Except for the absence of houttuynia cordata and fried soybeans, it was basically the same.

Of course, since the Wen brothers didn't like cilantro, he didn't add it to their food.
