By the time Lu Chuqing went out, Xi Qingxu had already been gone for a long time.
Because her home is relatively close to the library, she sent a message to ask Qu Fusang if she had set off yet.
Mumu-san: We're already on our way, just two more stops away.
The clouds will disperse: Okay, I'm off too.
The weather outside is great, the sun is shining brightly, and there's plenty of sunshine.
The temperature had risen slightly, and Lu Chuqing wore a pale yellow dress with a Peter Pan collar when she went out.
She had simply tied her hair into a ponytail, but when she came downstairs, Lu Ying was putting her hair up, and Xi Jun was helping her insert a hairpin.
Seeing her with her ponytail swinging, her mother insisted on putting her hair in a bun and even put a strawberry hair clip on it.
After she turned eight, she stopped wearing those cute little girl hair clips.
But her mother was so enthusiastic, and she looked so energetic and cute after putting it on, so she let her mother have it.
When she got off at the bus stop near the library, she immediately spotted Qu Fusang waiting there, and...
"Wow! Our Qing'er looks so beautiful today!"
Nangong Yu stared wide-eyed exaggeratedly, looking her up and down, pinching her round, full bun and touching the strawberry hair clip on her side.
"At school, Qing'er usually just wears her hair in a ponytail, either doing homework or reading, and she seems rather plain. But today, dressed like a little girl, she's a real eye-opener!"
Lu Chuqing slapped the boy's hand away and asked speechlessly, "We're going to do our homework, why did you follow us out?"
Nangong Yu was displeased with these words, "What are you saying? I also came here to do my homework!"
"But Qing'er, you're so mean!" This person started acting again, his face fell and his mouth pursed, he grabbed her sleeve and started whining, "You asked Qu Fusang out but not me, even though I've known you the longest!"
Qu Fusang had her hair down today, wearing a uniform set, with half of her hair held back by matching bow hair clips, and wearing white knee-high socks and black leather shoes.
The young girl came over, grabbed Lu Chuqing's hand, and shook it, her voice soft and sweet, "I'm sorry, Chuqing, I don't know how he found out, he just insisted on coming, and I couldn't stop him..."
One or two of them were pulling her along, and Lu Chuqing felt a bit tired. "Fine, since we're already here, let's study together."
"Qing'er is still the best!"
Nangong Yu began to complain, "You have no idea, some people look like a little potato thunderbolt, but they are actually quite formidable. Before you came along, she scolded me quite a bit."
On the other side, Qu Fusang lowered her eyes instantly, "Chu Qing, look at him, he's making personal attacks on me."
Lu Chuqing turned her head and glared at Nangong Yu, "If you don't speak, no one will think you're mute."
The boy instantly glared at Qu Fusang, who had a smug look in her eyes, with a wronged expression.
Once inside the library, the three of them found a spot near the window where the light was better.
Without hesitation, Lu Chuqing quickly took out her notebook and started working on the problems.
Qu Fusang took out her homework to do, while Nangong Yu went to find a book to read.
Because of the holiday, the library was quite crowded. Lu Chuqing and her friends had been writing for about half an hour when a few people came to the table next to them.
Those people weren't very well-mannered; they started chatting quietly before even sitting down.
"Brother Sheng, I never expected you to have such a studious side!" one of the boys said.
Fu Sheng didn't speak, her eyes fixed on the table opposite her. She pulled out a chair and sat down, making a soft sound.
Another boy spoke up, his voice slightly low and his tone casual and nonchalant, "This is a library, keep it down, don't you know any manners?"
The boy who had spoken earlier immediately lowered his voice and flattered with a smile, "Yes, yes, Master Qi is right to teach us a lesson."
The group made quite a commotion as soon as they entered, calling themselves "brother" and "grandfather" in just a short while, as if they wanted everyone to know how flamboyant they were.
Qu Fusang wasn't as good at judging people as Lu Chuqing; she looked up and glanced at them as soon as they approached.
When she met Fu Sheng's gaze, the little girl puffed up with anger and immediately lowered her head to continue studying, refusing to look at what was happening over there.
Seeing this, Fu Sheng clicked her tongue and suddenly stood up to leave.
The boy who had called him "Chess Master" earlier asked, "Where's our Brother Sheng going? He's leaving already?"
The tone was somewhat deliberately sarcastic.
Fu Sheng stopped in her tracks in anger and turned to the bookshelf next to her. "Who said I was leaving? I'm going to find a book to read!"
Zhou Guanqi chuckled casually, raised an eyebrow, and took out his homework to start writing.
Seeing this, the two boys who were with Fu Sheng also followed in her footsteps and ran to find books to read.
That's utter nonsense.
They had all planned to go to an internet cafe with Fusheng, but this guy suddenly went crazy and insisted on dragging them to the library to do their homework.
This is just a pure ghost story!
The spoiled brat who never studies all day is now going to the library to learn.
Isn't that scary?
Zhou Guanqi lived close to Fu Sheng, and their families had some contact and a fairly good relationship.
We had originally planned to go to an internet cafe, but someone suddenly decided to study instead. Zhou Guanqi, who had planned to do her homework at the internet cafe, had no choice but to switch locations to the library.
Nangong Yu found some book and read it with great interest, oblivious to everything around him, completely immersed in the world of the book.
Fu Sheng and the two boys returned, each carrying several books, some of which were original English editions.
Zhou Guanqi glanced at it, and a sneer instantly appeared on his lips. "No, do you guys even understand it?"
Fu Sheng was still looking across the room when he heard this, and said defiantly, "Who said I can't understand it? It's just a book!"
He was looking for books earlier, but he didn't bother to check what kind of books they were. He picked out a few from different bookshelves, thinking that picking out more would make him seem cultured. He didn't care whether he could understand them or not, and just grabbed them all.
The commotion from the group continued, keeping the easily flustered Qu Fusang's brow constantly furrowed.
"Chu Qing, how about we switch seats?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Chuqing looked up and glanced at the opposite side. Several boys were laughing and joking, their voices sometimes loud and sometimes soft. Some people were already casting disapproving glances at them, but they still hadn't realized their mistake.
There were quite a few people today, and even if there were seats available, they were just scattered single seats, so it wouldn't be possible for them to sit together.
She took out her phone and glanced at it; it was already past ten o'clock, and it would be noon in a little while.
So she closed her notebook and said softly, "I've been studying for quite a while now, how about we go get some milk tea and take a break?"
Qu Fusang didn't want to stay here any longer, so she nodded and started packing her things. "Okay, let's go."
Immersed in the world of the book, Nangong Yu finally noticed and looked up, asking innocently, "You're leaving already?"
He momentarily forgot that they were still in the library. His shout was quite loud in the quiet library, instantly attracting the attention of many people. Fu Sheng and his group at the same table also looked in their direction.
Lu Chuqing glared at him with a look of utter despair and said in a low voice, "I'm tired of studying, let's have a cup of milk tea to replenish our energy."
Nangong Yu realized that she was speaking too loudly, so she quickly covered her mouth, nodded with her innocent big eyes, and followed them with the book she was reading.
