Chapter 4 The Family's Pampering

Oh well, she's not a real child anyway, so I just let him take the tomatoes away.

As Lu Chengyang had said, lunch consisted of stewed chicken with taro and eggplant, served in a large bowl.

A floor slab was built on top of the gate connecting the kitchen and the roof of the tiled shed, connecting to the kitchen roof, making it a single-story building.

We ate lunch downstairs in the flat building, right opposite the courtyard gate, where a cool breeze blew in, relieving a lot of the heat.

Grandpa Lu Yongkang was the first to put a chicken leg into her special little bowl, his wrinkled face full of affection. "Our Jingjing needs to grow tall, so she needs to eat more meat!"

The rooster she raised was so fat and strong that its leg alone filled her small bowl completely, almost knocking it over because of the exposed bone.

Liu Jing quickly grabbed the bowl, then peeked around with her eyes. She was the only one with a chicken leg; even Lu Chengyang didn't have one!

While feeling warm inside, Liu Jing was also a little unaccustomed to being pampered by so many people all of a sudden, and after thinking for a moment, she deliberately pouted.

"Grandpa doesn't understand Jingjing at all. Jingjing is already quite chubby. If she eats more meat, she'll get even fatter and become a little chubby girl, which won't be pretty!"

The little dumpling's expressive face and quirky antics amused everyone.

Grandma Cai Min pretended to put on a stern face and said in a deep voice, "Who said our Jingjing is fat! Being chubby is a blessing! Being chubby is beautiful!"

Aunt Chai Shuhua chimed in, "Our Jingjing is a natural beauty; she looks good no matter what!"

Lu Ying chuckled and pinched her chubby little face, teasingly saying, "Our Jingjing is so young, but she already knows how to care about her appearance!"

Lu Chengyang, with a chicken nugget in his mouth, grimaced from the heat and mumbled, "He looks kind of cute now, but who knows if he'll grow up to be weird!"

Upon hearing this, the elders all glared at him, and Chai Shuhua even tried to hit him with the tip of her chopsticks. The young boy cried out, "Mom, have mercy!"

Then he quickly picked up the bowl and ran away, causing everyone to burst into laughter again.

Looking at the happy people, Liu Jing's heart was filled with an unprecedented sense of happiness.

Thinking of her maternal grandfather's large family, which Lu Ying had briefly mentioned in her previous life, she made another decision.

May my uncles be successful in making money, and may my maternal grandparents be in good health.
