Chapter 95 Liking things that taste like durian doesn't mean you like durian.

Lu Ying took a bite from her hand and was equally amazed. "It really is! What's the name of this fruit?"

Lu Chuqing shook her head and looked at the boy who came out carrying the steamed seafood. "Second brother, what is this fruit? It's quite delicious."

Lu Linqi glanced at the lump in her hand, "Dragon Tribute Fruit."

"The name sounds rather expensive."

Hearing what she just said, Lu Linqi said, "Don't you like durian-flavored things? Why can't you eat durian anymore?"

Knowing that she liked durian-flavored food, Lu Hang specially brought two large durians.

"But second brother, just because I like durian-flavored food doesn't mean I like durian."

Lu Linqi clearly did not understand.

Lu Chuqing could only use an analogy, "It's like liking spicy food; you're eating something that has a spicy flavor, but not the chili pepper itself."

"How many people can stand eating chili peppers directly?"

Lu Linqi remained silent for a moment, but quickly expressed his understanding.

Upon learning that the boy hadn't eaten yet, Lu Ying said she would pack up his things and let the two children go eat.

The woman divided some of the fruit out and said, "Linqi, you should take all of this back with you."

The boy was peeling shrimp for Lu Chuqing. "No need, Auntie. I don't really like eating fruit. I don't have time to eat it during class every day. If you and Qingqing think there's too much to eat, you can share some with your friends."

Lu Linqi didn't know that his aunt didn't actually have many friends; it was just that Lu Chuqing casually mentioned it, and he just echoed her.

Lu Ying knew that no one was home, so she thought about it and agreed.

When Xi Qingxu got home, he smelled a very strong odor.

He recognized the taste.

Lu Chuqing really liked the durian pastries from a pastry shop near her school.

He bought them a few times; the cookies were very crispy, had a strong milky flavor, and the durian smelled terrible.

He doesn't like it.

Seeing him return, Xi Jun's troubled expression hadn't completely disappeared. "Your Aunt Lu's relatives brought her some fruit. She can't eat too much, so she brought some over for us."

Xi Qingxu looked at the two large durians that were giving the man a headache and asked, "Can we eat them?"

He meant to ask Xi Jun if she could eat durian.

The man shook his head. "I can't eat it. You eat it?"

The boy's face remained expressionless. "I won't eat either."

Xi Jun sighed, "Then what should we do? I don't want to give it to anyone else."

When Lu Ying came to give him the fruit, he smelled it, but he still immediately took it.

This was given to him by Yingying; he wouldn't give it to anyone else.

Xi Qingxu paused for a moment and said, "Let's make it into pastries. That way, the flavor won't be too strong and it will be much easier to accept."

Xi Jun couldn't think of any other solution, so she had no choice but to follow his advice.
