As expected.
When Bling tentatively mentioned to Sangs that she was going on a long trip, Sangs exploded!
"Going on a long trip? Where to? I'm going too!" Sangshen immediately agreed.
Bu Ling refused without any politeness: "My company is going on a business trip, you can't go."
"Isn't your place a retirement home? Why would you need to go on a business trip? What are you going there for? I'll take leave and go with you. I don't trust you to go alone." Sangzhen sat up straight and stared intently at Buling.
"Sister Huang heard that another batch of cultural relics has been unearthed, so she's taking us to see them." This was the excuse that Bu Ling had been thinking about for several days.
She patted her calves: "Isn't this the Cultural Heritage Bureau? As the name suggests, we are responsible for inheriting culture, so ancient culture must also be inherited, right?"
Mulberry asked with some doubt, "Really?"
"What else?" Bling retorted.
Sangshen stammered, unsure how to put it, but he just felt something was off.
Why the sudden business trip? There was no warning at all.
And he hadn't heard of any large tombs being discovered anywhere. Where exactly is the Cultural Heritage Bureau going?
Furthermore, judging from this unit's past practices, shouldn't they be more ambitious?
“I’ll go with you. It’s a good time for us to go shopping when you’re not busy,” Sangshen insisted.
"I'm going on a business trip, what's the point of bringing my family along!" Bu Ling was exasperated. How come she didn't know that Sang Shen was so clingy?
"Also, what reason do you plan to use for the letter of introduction? To accompany your wife on a business trip?"
“Sure, that works too.” Mulberry said shamelessly.
"Get lost!" Bling kicked him. "You may not care about your reputation, but I do."
Sangshen pouted: "Then you go first, and I'll go after you, okay?"
Bling sighed and turned around. "I'm going on a business trip with my company. What are you worried about?"
Sangshen looked aggrieved and clung to Buling's clothes, saying, "We haven't been apart since we got married."
“Even my daughter isn’t as clingy as you.” Bu Ling gave him a reproachful look, exuding charm.
But Sangshen had no time for romantic thoughts: "Lingling?"
“No.” Bling refused decisively: “You stay at home and I’ll be back soon.”
Mulberry said "Oh" and lowered her head without saying anything.
Seeing his expression, Bling knew he was up to no good: "You're not allowed to go, you hear me? Or I'll get angry!"
Mulberry looked up abruptly, and said plaintively, "How cruel you are!"
Bling: ...
Enough talk, let's take action.
She leaned forward and pecked the mulberry's lips briefly before pulling away.
Before Sangshen could react, she straddled his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck: "Such a beautiful day, how can we waste it?"
"Lingling, you can't... mmm... do this... mmm."
Bling chuckled softly, "I can."
Then she pushed Sangshen down onto the bed, looking down at him and asking, "Is the moon full tonight?"
Mulberry asked, puzzled: "It's not round."
Bu Ling smiled and said, "Then I'll show you a round one~"
He bent down and kissed the mulberry's Adam's apple...
The night is indeed still very long!
Mulberry was thus reluctantly (or perhaps reluctantly) appeased.
After waking up, she kept muttering as she packed Bling's luggage.
As Bu Ling watched him drag out five suitcases, her lips twitched. "I'm on a business trip, not fleeing a disaster."
Ignoring Buling's refusal, Sangshen said confidently, "It's fine, you can take it anyway."
Bling: ...
Okay, as long as he's happy!
However, Sangshen's efforts were in vain, as Buling and the others set off earlier than planned.
"Leave now?"
Bu Ling looked at Huang Yuming standing in front of her.
Huang Yuming nodded: "The matter is urgent, there's no time to say more. Comrade Buling, is there anything else you need to prepare?"
Bling shook her head. The first thing that came to her mind was the five suitcases that Sangshen had prepared, but "I don't have anything to prepare."
"Okay, come with me." Huang Yuming turned around briskly and walked out of the courtyard.
Buling quickly followed, and they encountered Grandma Liu taking a walk in the yard. Buling paused, turned around, and walked up to Grandma Liu: "Grandma Liu, could you please tell my family?"
Grandma Liu smiled, her wrinkles at the corners of her eyes narrowing into slits: "Don't worry."
Bu Ling smiled and quickly followed Huang Yuming.
Huang Yuming led her through a maze of turns until they reached an unremarkable courtyard.
Several people were sitting or standing in the courtyard.
As soon as Bu Ling and his companion entered, everyone in the courtyard turned to look at them.
Huang Yuming greeted them calmly: "Old Sun, Captain Xu."
Following suit, Bu Ling said, "Old Sun, Captain Xu."
Old Sun was a serious old man. He nodded to the two women and said, "Please sit down."
Huang Yuming pulled Bu Ling to sit down.
"Old Sun, everyone's here," Captain Xu reminded him.
Upon hearing this, Old Sun gave a serious look around at the people in the courtyard. "Is everyone clear about the mission?"
"Understood!" they answered in unison.
"I won't give you many instructions. For this mission, you will follow Captain Sun's orders completely. Remember, you must always put the safety of the two female comrades first," Old Sun said solemnly.
"Mission accomplished!"
Old Sun stared at them for a while and said, "I believe in you."
After he finished speaking, he stood up and said, "Get ready, Xiao Huang, bring Comrade Bu Ling with me."
Huang Yuming: "Yes!"
She gave a standard military salute, stood up, and followed Old Sun into the house.
Seeing this, Bling quickly followed.
