Chapter 33: Wedding

"You have such a sweet mouth. I wonder how many little girls he will coax when he grows up." Wang Shuning reached out and pinched his chubby little face.

After eating two handfuls of peanuts, the sound of suona suddenly rang out. The sound was so loud that it could be heard in the surrounding villages.

Then the dishes started to be served, and the cold dishes were served first.

As the firecrackers rang out, the table near the gate of the courtyard was covered with gunpowder ash, and then someone came over with a plate of hot food.

Chopsticks were flying all over the table, and even two chopsticks were picking up the same piece of meat.

Wang Shuning didn’t eat the first bite he took. He filled his bowl first and then concentrated on enjoying the food.

Zhang Meili sighed, thinking that she was young and inexperienced. Who would have thought that rural people treated wedding banquets like robbers, and in the blink of an eye not even a scrap of meat was left.

Zhang Meili at least got a piece, but as a man who cares about his reputation, Lu Beichu was too embarrassed to snatch it, so he didn't get any meat at all and could only rely on shredded potatoes to fill his stomach. Fortunately, Guo Jingyi was a great cook and her vegetarian dishes were also delicious.
