Qin Yu licked his lips.
He ate a piece of candy not long ago; it would be strange if it wasn't sweet.
At this moment, Lin Xiaoxiao yawned, and tears were about to flow from her eyes.
Qin Yushen took her hand and said, "You're still sleepy after sleeping for so long?"
"I feel sleepy when the sun is shining." Lin Xiaoxiao rubbed her eyes.
"Let's go. Someone will take care of the rest. Let's go back to the county first, have dinner early, and get some rest." Qin Yushen took her hand and wiped her eyes with a handkerchief.
"Uh-huh."
The two did not stay at the Zhang family's house that night, but went to the county.
Qin Yu first went to the post office to make a phone call to the military region, then took Lin Xiaoxiao to a state-run restaurant for dinner, and after dinner they went to the guesthouse.
They only booked one room based on their marriage certificate.
"Wife, go take a shower." Qin Yushen found the clothes Lin Xiaoxiao needed to change into and put them on the bed. Seeing Lin Xiaoxiao holding a book and reading, he urged her.
Lin Xiaoxiao knew immediately what kind of trick he was up to.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder. The two hadn't been together for a while, and not to mention Qin Yushen, she missed him quite a bit too.
She took the clothes, lightly touched his abs, and teased, "Wait patiently, I'll pamper you after I take a shower."
Qin Yu's eyes darkened, and he reached out to grab her, but Lin Xiaoxiao nimbly dodged and ran away in a flash.
There is a public bathroom on each floor of the guesthouse.
After washing herself clean, Lin Xiaoxiao returned with a flushed face, slammed the door shut, and pounced on Qin Yushen...
While Lin Xiaoxiao and Qin Yu were enjoying the springtime romance, at Huo Jing's house, located at the border of Peach Blossom Village and Wangzi Village, the atmosphere was heavy, and the air seemed to have frozen together.
Luo Qingming's eyes were slightly red. The boy looked thin and weak, and he stubbornly refused to look at the anxious man squatting in front of him.
“Ah Ming…” Huo Jing clenched his hands, feeling very sad, but still said something against his will, “I want to stay in the village. You and your sister and brother-in-law should go.”
"Huo Jing!" Luo Qingming glared at him hatefully, placing her fair and slender hand on his shoulder and shaking it, as if trying to make him rational. "Is there anything here that you'd like to stay for? Why don't you want to come with me?"
Huo Jing brushed his hand away, stood up, and said calmly, "You know my temperament; once I've made up my mind, no one can change it."
"Go with your sister tomorrow and don't come back."
After saying that, he walked out and disappeared into the night.
Luo Qingming slowly closed her eyes, her thick eyelashes clearly defined, her skin as white as jade, like precious glass that would shatter at the slightest touch.
After an unknown amount of time, a self-deprecating laugh echoed from inside the room.
“Brother…” Luo Qingming slumped onto the table, her eyes dimming.
Huo Jing didn't go far. He walked to the riverbank, leaned against the crooked tree he used to climb up and down as a child, put his arm behind his head, and quietly watched the stars in the night sky.
Ten years have passed like a single day.
At the same time, the scene appears to be not much different.
Twenty years ago, he was only four years old. His mother was still alive then. She brought him here with her. That day was just like now; the night was bright and there were many beautiful stars in the sky.
His mother held him in her arms, and even though she had just been beaten by that beast during the day and her face was still bruised, her embrace was still very warm.
Four-year-old Huo Jing pointed to the stars in the sky and said to his mother, "Mom is as beautiful as the stars."
The mother smiled through her tears and apologized to Xiao Huojing.
Then, the next second, he jumped into the river with Xiao Huojing in his arms.
Huo Jing thought more than once that if he and his mother had died together that time, it might have been a happy thing.
But fate did not favor him and his mother; that beast came and rescued them.
From then on, Xiao Huojing could only see his mother once a day.
Every time I met her, my mother was always tied to the pigsty with a rope. It smelled terrible there, and my grandmother had a pig there. My mother's hair was disheveled, and no one combed it for her or washed her face or changed her clothes.
Every time Xiao Huojing tries to sneak his mother out, his grandmother and father find out and his mother gets beaten.
Over time, Xiao Huojing seemed to understand something.
Mom said she wanted to go home; she missed home.
Little Huo asked his mother where her home was, saying that when he grew up, he would take her home.
Mom didn't say anything, she just kept saying "Let's go home, let's go home."
Xiao Huojing knew why his mother couldn't come home: because his father had tied her up.
If the ropes binding Mom are cut off, Mom will be free and can go home to find her own mother and father.
So, Xiao Huojing let his mother go.
On the night his mother left, Xiao Huojing had a rare sweet dream, dreaming of his mother's happy appearance after finding her home. But halfway through the sweet dream, it was replaced by a nightmare.
The next day, when I got up, I heard a familiar, shrill scream coming from the pigsty.
Little Huo ran to see it, and he remembered the scene for the rest of his life, never forgetting it to this day.
Many men... mothers...
Among them were his father, his grandfather...
"Ugh~" Huo Jing lay on the ground, vomiting physiologically, wishing he could vomit up his internal organs.
He pounded his head, his eyes bloodshot, like a trapped beast.
After a long while, he lay down by the river, covering his eyes with the back of his hand, tears streaming down his face and disappearing into his hair.
How could he leave?
He cannot leave.
He wanted to personally send those people to hell.
