Chapter 317 Team Up for Games

The proprietress had just finished 'fooling' those young girls.

Right now, I'm using an eyebrow trimmer to trim my nails.

Hearing this, he said without looking up, "The Ouija board requires four people, two men and two women, to have enough yang energy for it to work."

She suddenly looked up, her black eyeliner sharply drawn at the corners of her eyes: "But let me remind you, if you summon a spirit, you have to deliver it properly, otherwise..."

How difficult could it be?

Another girl took out her phone and started dialing.

"Hey? Honey! Bring those two single guys from your dorm to play Ouija board! There's a discount if you form a group of four!"

She turned to the shop owner and smiled, "We want to ask about our career prospects! We've heard that Ouija boards are the most accurate way to tell the 'goddess'!"

The proprietress grinned, revealing sharp canine teeth.

"Your career luck is about to improve. We'll need to spend more money. Setting up the Seven Star Array will cost an extra 300, and we'll use an owl specimen to ward off bad luck."

I frowned as I listened from the side.

A true spiritualist would never incite people to play Ouija boards for money.

This thing doesn't attract any "immortals" at all, but rather the fierce spirits of the hungry ghost realm.

Judging from the cheap nail polish on the proprietress's nails and the plastic skull on her cow bone necklace, she was clearly a swindler who made money by pretending to be a ghost.

"Master, are they really going to do it again?"

Xiaoyue tugged at my sleeve, her eyes full of worry: "Mengmeng got into trouble after playing with the Ouija board twice..."

I didn't say anything, my gaze fell on the two boys who had just entered.

They were wearing hoodies from a certain university of science and technology.

One of them wore a black bracelet on his wrist, with a coin sandwiched between the beads.

The five cents used in the Ouija board game to "communicate with the spirits" has been mistaken by ignorant people as a "lucky charm".

It looks like there are quite a lot of guests here, and many of them have been here many times.

Strangely, so many people were fine, so why did Mengmeng get into trouble?

"Let's go take a look."

I thought for a moment and said in a low voice, "If there's really something dirty, it will be exposed sooner or later."

"Um!"

Xiaoyue seemed a little nervous, but encouraged by my gaze, she nodded and followed behind me, trembling.

"We want to play with the Ouija board."

I brought Xiaoyue to the proprietress and asked, "But my granddaughter said that you can invite 'true immortals' here, is that true?"

The proprietress shook the crystal pendant in her hand.

However, it was a man-made amethyst and had no spiritual properties whatsoever.

"Sir, we don't serve customers here..."

As she was speaking, she was suddenly interrupted by the screams of the college students.

"Ahhh, it really moved! The Ouija board spirit really moved!"

A girl in a Lolita dress rushed out from the inner room, clutching a piece of paper in her hand: "It says I'll find a boyfriend next month!"

Her girlfriends crowded around her, bombarding her with questions: "Did they say how tall he is? Is he handsome?"

The girl in the corner turned pale: "Didn't you see? The words on the paper were emitting black smoke just now..."

Just then, two more girls, who looked quite young, entered through the door.

The two walked straight up to the proprietress, their eyes filled with curiosity and nervousness: "Sister, we want to play with the Ouija board... Can two people play?"

"We need to make a four-player game."

The proprietress smiled professionally: "Why don't you wait a moment, I'll find you two people!"

As she spoke, her gaze fell upon me, but then she looked away the next second.

What does that mean? You're not letting me play?

But I'm a customer who paid for the service, so why should I be picky about customers?

Just as I was about to speak, I suddenly felt a chill on the back of my neck, as if someone had breathed cold air into my ear.

It was a scorching 30 degrees Celsius outside, but the air conditioning inside the store had been set to 16 degrees Celsius without anyone noticing.

The girl with pigtails hugged her arms and shivered: "It's so cold... Sister, is the air conditioning too low?"

The proprietress's eyes flickered: "The air conditioning isn't on. It might be... the vent is broken."

She turned to Xiaoyue and said, "Little sister, do you want to play together? We just need four people."

Xiaoyue looked at me with a troubled expression, her eyes saying, "What should I do?"

I wondered to myself: Why did the proprietress only ask Xiaoyue when I'm standing here like this?

"We..." Xiaoyue had just started to speak when a burst of laughter suddenly came from the corner.

Two middle school students with rainbow-colored hair bounced over, clutching fluorescent lollipops in their hands: "We want to play! There are four of us!"

Their school uniform jackets were half off, revealing T-shirts with skull prints underneath, and keychains with the words "Ouija Board Will Win" hung on their backpacks.

"Let's organize a game among middle school students then."

The proprietress pulled a red pen from under the counter; the black string on the cap looked thicker than the previous ones. "Which formation would you ladies like to play with? The basic version or the upgraded version?"

"We need the most effective one!" The short-haired girl mumbled, a lollipop in her mouth, "We want to ask if it's possible to get into a top high school through the high school entrance exam!"

The girl with pigtails suddenly pointed at me and asked, "What about Grandpa? Won't he play?"

The proprietress laughed, but this time her smile lacked its professional warmth and instead carried a hint of sarcasm: "Grandpa... you should rest outside. This thing is too stimulating; I'm afraid your heart can't take it."

Just as I was about to retort, I felt a chill on the back of my neck again, this time accompanied by a slight stinging sensation.

I turned to look at the doorway. A thin layer of frost had formed on the glass. Even though it was the height of summer, the leaves outside were swaying without any wind, as if being manipulated by some force.

Something's wrong, there's something dirty inside!

But it clearly didn't exist before, but now it does.

Who brought them in?

I glanced around; these were all young people, so I couldn't bring them in.

If you really have that ability, why would you need to spend money to play games?
