"Shh!"
The girl with pigtails suddenly covered her mouth, glanced at the counter, stole a look at the proprietress, and signaled to her companion not to speak so loudly.
As I was listening, I suddenly heard a commotion of footsteps and screams coming from inside.
The heavy curtain was lifted, and four female college students filed out.
Some had flushed faces and bright eyes, while others covered their mouths and turned pale. Their chattering voices were like a flock of sparrows exploding.
"That was so exciting! The pen really moved just now!"
A girl with blue-purple hair was waving her phone.
On the screen was a blurry photo of a white paper with a crooked circle on it. "I asked, 'Can I find a partner?' and the Ouija board actually drew a circle!"
"But that voice..."
The girl with her hair tied in a low ponytail was trembling all over, gripping her companion's wrist tightly: "Didn't you hear that? There's a scratching sound coming from inside the wall! It sounds like someone is scratching at the wall with their fingernails!"
"Come on, you!"
The girl in the hoodie patted her on the shoulder, the skull pattern on the hoodie swaying as she said, "The boss must be setting up a trap! It's like an escape room, deliberately scaring us!"
"But that red pen..."
The fourth girl suddenly lowered her voice and glanced at the shop owner behind the counter: "Didn't you notice? There's a strange smell on the pen barrel, like rotting meat..."
"Alright, alright, you're such a scaredy-cat, I won't bring you next time!"
As they spoke, two bolder girls approached the proprietress.
One of them brandished a red pen in his hand: "Sis, we didn't get enough fun just now! Is there anything more exciting? Like a Ouija board?"
