Jin stared blankly at the severed head in my hand, unable to react for a long time.
It wasn't until I called him several more times that Jinye finally responded with two "ah ah" sounds.
What did you say?
I said that the corpse can no longer rise from the dead, so could I perform a ritual to help it pass on to the afterlife?
"Of course not, didn't I just say the location isn't suitable!"
Jin glanced at the chainsaw in my hand, paused, and tentatively asked, "Want to give it a try?"
As he spoke, he took out a Bagua mirror, a peach wood sword, a copper bell engraved with runes, and a stack of yellow talismans from his cloth bag.
Master Jin neatly arranged these things on a white cloth and had me gently place Bai Su's head in the very center of the cloth.
After I finished setting everything up, Master Jin took a few steps back, picked up the peach wood sword, used the tip of the sword to pick up a yellow talisman, chanted an incantation, and then suddenly shouted.
The yellow talisman spontaneously combusted, transforming into a ghostly green flame that slowly landed beside Bai Su's head.
"By the mandate of Heaven, ascend to the Nine Palaces, where all the gods are in their places, serving the divine masters. The soul and spirit are in harmony, the five internal organs are abundant, the hundred sweet wines flow, the seven fluids are replenished, the fire and bells are exchanged, ghosts are destroyed and evil is eliminated. I wish that the gods and immortals may live forever without limit, and be governed by the laws."
While reciting the "Tai Di's Mantra for Exorcising Evil Spirits and Delivering from Calamity," pick up the copper bell.
The yellow talismans placed on the ground vibrated slightly with the sound of the bell, and then floated in mid-air, hovering above Bai Su's head.
"May this merit be dedicated to Bai Su, that she may be reborn in the Pure Land, be free from suffering and attain happiness, and increase in blessings and wisdom."
After Jin finished reading, he slammed the bell heavily on the ground.
With a ding, Mr. Jin breathed a sigh of relief.
"Alright, the ritual is complete!"
That's it?
I was in a daze for a moment.
After going through so much, almost losing my life several times, when it came to the final step, I thought it would be an earth-shattering scene, but inexplicably they said the ritual was over.
There was no process, and then suddenly I reached orgasm?
This is like going out to dinner with your dream girl.
We've finished eating, drinking, and watching the movie; the atmosphere is perfect.
She could drink iced drinks, she took the charger, she couldn't go back to her dorm, her parents went on vacation, and then her boyfriend picked her up.

Just then, a faint yet clear creaking sound came from the doorway.
Jin and I froze instantly, not daring to breathe.
Clearly, those men had reached the door and were carefully prying it open with tools.
"It's all your fault! I told you to leave quickly, why were you cleaning up her body? Look at us now, we can't leave!"
Jin Ye frantically searched around for an exit.
Unable to find it, they grabbed the nearby tables and chairs and piled them up in front of the door, trying to block the defense that was about to be breached.
"This godforsaken place doesn't even have a decent exit! We're probably doomed this time."
As he spoke, he suddenly ripped off his clothes and hurriedly covered his face with them.
I asked him, "Jin, what are you doing?"
“Cover your face so they won’t recognize us. As long as their faces aren’t clearly seen, there might still be a chance.”
I was both angry and amused, so I ripped the cloth off his face.
"Brother Jin, what are you thinking? We scouted this place just a few hours ago. They have security cameras at the entrance! If they check the footage, they'll know it was us, right? This trick is completely useless!"
Jin Ye, however, was unconvinced: "They only saw us come in, but they don't know we sneaked into the villa. If we deny it to the death and say we never went into the villa, what can they do to us?"
That makes some sense.
I quickly took off my outer clothes and covered them tightly to my face, leaving only my eyes exposed.
At that moment, the sound of prying at the door outside stopped abruptly, replaced by a dull thud.
