The female ghost suddenly slid along the wall, moving like a cockroach, her knees bent at an unnatural angle.
I swung my sword to strike her back, but this woman was cunning; with a "whoosh," she slipped into a crack in the wall.
A wet handprint was left on the wall, with cement residue still embedded in the fingernails.
"Trying to run?"
I took out a pomelo leaf and rubbed it hard on my eyelids a couple of times.
With the opening of the Heavenly Eye, a dark water vein was seen inside the wall, crawling towards the bathroom like an earthworm.
I raised the lightning sword and thrust it into the water vein.
There was a muffled thud from inside the wall, like someone was banging a drum inside an empty drum.
The sword suddenly jolted, and I pushed it forward along the water vein. The plaster on the wall fell off with a "plop," revealing a rotten sleeve underneath.
The female ghost screamed as she squeezed out of the crack in the wall, half of her body still covered in cement paste, and the silver bracelet on her wrist slammed against the wall with a "clang".
She tried to crawl under the bed, but I stepped on her hair.
The hair looked like soaked seaweed, both fishy and slippery.
"Run? Settle the score first!"
Before he could finish speaking, car headlights flashed past the window, and a car horn sounded from downstairs.
The female ghost suddenly looked up, her eyes glowing green in the firelight. She suddenly broke free of her hair and backed away, causing the glass door of the bathroom to shatter into pieces.
I raised my sword to block the flying glass shards.
When she looked up again, she had already climbed into the toilet tank.
I grabbed the hilt of my sword and smashed it against the water tank, sending ceramic shards flying all over the room.
She stuck half her arm out of the sewer drain, and the dirt and sand under her fingernails fell onto the tiles, piling up in a small heap.
"Where do you think you're going!"
I used the scabbard to wedge her wrist and pulled her outwards forcefully.
Her entire arm slid out with a "whoosh," her skin as white as a soaked squid.
Just as I was about to pull harder, her arm suddenly exploded into a puddle of black water, which seeped down the drain.
I quickly took off my shoes to block the drain. The black water swirled around the soles of my shoes, making a hissing, corrosive sound, but it just wouldn't go down.
The bathroom light suddenly turned on, and in the blinding white light, the ghostly figure huddled in the corner of the bathtub, dripping wet, her dress so tattered that her ribs were visible.
"Don't kill me..."
She trembled and shrank back, her rotting mouth stretching out, not in a grotesque way, but in a tearful expression: "I was murdered... I... I didn't want to hurt anyone!"
