Chapter 51 The Tongue Was Cut Off

As he spoke, he kicked a stack of cardboard boxes next to him in frustration.

The stack of cardboard collapsed with a "whoosh," startling dozens of small insects which scurried about in all directions. She screamed in fright and jumped aside.

The look of disgust on her face grew stronger, as if staying there for even a second longer would make her extremely uncomfortable.

From our previous conversation, I learned that this woman's name was Gao Qian, and she was a senior executive at a bank. She sponsored all the equipment, travel expenses, food, and accommodation for this trip.

So Liu Junming and the others didn't say much about Gao Qian's complaints, and Su Meng even held her hand and coaxed her by calling her "Sister Qianqian" repeatedly.

"Strange, this grandma stewed a pot of meat for us, but she ate only white rice. Is she a vegetarian?" Su Meng muttered to herself as she watched the old lady's disappearing figure.

The long-haired man took a sip of beer: "Maybe they're worried we won't have enough to eat. Whatever, I don't know what kind of meat this is, but it smells so good and is so chewy. I've never eaten such delicious braised meat before!"

After saying that, he couldn't wait to pick up a large piece of meat and stuff it into his mouth.

"What a reincarnation of a dead man!" Liu Junming laughed and cursed.

Then, as if struck by a sudden thought, he lowered his voice mysteriously and asked...

"Don't you find it strange? This old lady lives alone in this place and has difficulty moving around. Where do you think she got so much meat?"
