Chapter 1259 A big shot is coming?

Holy crap, she's home!

Luo Tianhe reacted instantly and rushed forward to disarm the knife with his bare hands.

The girl tried to fight back, but even with a knife, she was no match for Luo Tianhe.

Moreover, Luo Tianhe wasn't the kind of sycophant who wouldn't hit a girl; he snatched the knife and delivered a powerful kick.

Just as the old man said, the girl was young and beautiful, but frail. After being kicked, her head slammed hard against the wall, and she groaned before lying on the ground unable to get up.

Luo Tianhe showed no mercy to someone who nearly killed himself with a weapon.

None of us stopped him; the girl's reaction confirmed our earlier suspicions.

Just then, Luo Tianhe, who was inside the house, wrinkled his nose.

"There really is a dead body in this house; there's a strong stench of corpses."

Sure enough, as soon as we entered the room, we smelled a strong stench of corpses.

But I'm used to it by now. I bent down and checked the woman's breathing. She was still alive; she must have just fainted.

I sighed and dialed Zhang Qiang's number:

"Hey Zhang Qiang, we've discovered a pretty heinous murder and body-hiding case here, right in the xx apartment... We've already knocked the murderer unconscious, and the evidence is conclusive, but the motive for the murder is still unclear."

I gave him the address, and Zhang Qiang quickly replied on the other end of the phone, "Okay, I'll be there right away."

After calling the police, I hung up the phone and led them to the room opposite the old man's bedroom.

The stench of corpses is strongest here, and it's obvious the smell is coming from here.

The door was locked, but these kinds of room doors don't need to be unlocked; they just open with a strong push.

The old man suppressed his urge to vomit and followed us into the room, wanting to see who was watching him every day.

The wall directly opposite the old man's bedroom has a wardrobe in front of it. Considering the sound we made when we knocked on the wall earlier, it's not unusual. The location of the body is now obvious.

"I never expected that this little girl would dare to kill someone."

The old man murmured.

Luo Tianhe was somewhat indignant: "That's not all, that bitch almost killed me with a single stab!"

I pulled open the cabinet and saw the back of a woman.

The woman was wearing a white backless dress, and her back was covered with large and small livid spots. In some places, the skin had even begun to rot, revealing dark red flesh and blood inside, with maggots and flies wriggling and flying around in the flesh and blood.

She was hanging from the wardrobe, the rope tightly constricting her neck, pus still dripping, forming a puddle at her feet.

Her face was pressed against the wardrobe; no wonder the old man always felt someone was watching him when he slept at night.

"Crunch, crunch,"

The rope suspending her inexplicably began to spin, and the old man was so frightened by this scene that he retreated repeatedly. At this moment, he regretted his curiosity!

Soon, the woman turned to face me.

By this time, she was unrecognizable. Her face was covered with deep, peeling scratches, and her nose and eyes had completely disappeared, leaving only dark, gaping holes.

Luo Tianhe gagged. Her face was much more rotten than her back, perhaps because she had been disfigured before she died. Countless maggots were rolling around in her eye sockets and rotting flesh. Anyone with trypophobia would die on the spot just by looking at it.

"The motivation is there too,"

It was clearly a crime of passion, and because the woman was prettier than her, she was also disfigured.

I felt sorry for the woman. Even after she died, she had no desire to harm anyone. She just hoped that the old man would call the police so that her body wouldn't just hang there forever.

He turned around not to kill me, but just to thank me.

Just then, I heard the sound of police cars; it seemed Zhang Qiang had arrived.

Sure enough, Zhang Qiang appeared at the door shortly after. Seeing the badly decomposed female corpse, he waved his hand, and two men in white coats and gloves carefully removed the body.

"Come on, let's go outside and talk."

Zhang Qiang led me out of the house. The murderer had already been taken away. He lit a cigarette, exhaled a puff of smoke, and asked:

"Would you like one too?"

I didn't refuse, and I took a cigarette and lit it.

"You came here because of your funeral home?"

After a pause, Zhang Qiang asked.

I nodded. "The old man next door came to us saying his house was haunted. He always felt like someone was watching him at night. At first, we thought there was a corpse built into the wall, but then we found out it was the neighbor next door."

"I see, so that woman was going to attack you, that's why?"

"She grabbed a kitchen knife and tried to ambush us. Luo Tianhe was almost killed. We could only knock her unconscious. Shouldn't that be considered self-defense?"

Zhang Qiang smiled and waved his hand.

"That's not important. Even if you did act bravely, it's nothing. I'm not that old-fashioned. You solved the case. If you weren't so rich, I would have given you a citizen's award."

I understand what Zhang Qiang means. As long as I can give a plausible reason, it doesn't matter even if it's not for self-defense.

After a pause, Zhang Qiang spoke again, this time with a much more serious expression:

"You remember what we talked about last time, right?"

"Of course, it's only been a few days. I'm not senile, how could I forget?"

I rolled my eyes.

"I was really upset after our last conversation, so I talked to my father. By the way, do you know about the Bureau of Paranormal Investigations?"

I said I knew it; it's a non-governmental organization that specializes in handling paranormal cases.

Although it's unofficial, I've heard it wields considerable power, and the people inside are all very capable.

I had considered joining before, but I heard the assessment could be deadly. However, some things happened afterward, so I put it off.

Zhang Qiang looked at me with some surprise. He thought I might know about the Bureau of Strange News Investigation, but he didn't expect me to know so much.

“After I talked to my father, he said he would send someone from the Bureau of Paranormal Investigation to see if they could help you resolve some of your troubles.”

I looked at him in shock. I knew you had a powerful background, but I didn't expect it to be this powerful.

In just a few words, it wasn't that they were in mortal danger, but rather that they were a little annoyed, yet they still managed to send people from the Bureau of Extraordinary Events Investigation over.

To be honest, I'm more than qualified to join the Bureau of Strange News Investigations now; ordinary members simply can't handle those eerie places.

Seemingly sensing my thoughts, Zhang Qiang revealed a smug smile:

"Don't worry, a big shot is coming this time. He'll definitely lead you to a bloodbath!"

Seeing how confident he was, I couldn't help but ask:

"I'll take care of the squeaking, and he'll take care of the indiscriminate killing?"

Zhang Qiang nodded. "That's right!"

Suddenly, my heart burned with excitement.

Although Zhang Qiang and I weren't very familiar with each other, he knew some of my skills.

Even if they underestimated me, the person who said those words must be a big shot!
