His already cloudy eyes were now bloodshot.
“That’s right! As long as you die, someone will give me a large sum of money and send Xiao Shun abroad for medical treatment! I’m old and no match for you. I can only trick you into going to Bincheng Building and let those ghosts deal with you.”
His voice grew increasingly louder, almost hysterical: "So...why are you still alive? Why don't you just die! All of you, just die!"
After saying that, Uncle Niu, like a wild beast out of control, grabbed a fruit knife from the fruit plate and pounced on me.
I was prepared, and when he got close, I didn't hesitate to kick him in the stomach.
Su Mingyang hurriedly knocked the knife out of his hand and pressed him firmly to the ground.
Uncle Niu is pitiful. His daughter-in-law ran away, his son died tragically, and his grandson suffers from intellectual disability. The hardships of life are like mountains pressing down on him, making it hard for him to breathe.
But this is absolutely not a reason for him to arbitrarily take our lives.
Even though Uncle Niu was pinned to the ground, he still frantically shouted at us, "Why aren't you dead yet? Why aren't you dead yet!"
I was planning to ask him who was behind this and wanted us dead, and whether Niu Hongsheng had said anything before he died.
However, seeing his frantic state, I figured I wouldn't get any information out of him.
I found a rope in the kitchen and tied Uncle Niu to a chair, then Su Mingyang and I split up to search.
Niu Hongsheng's room is very easy to recognize; there's a large poster of Yua Mikami on the door, making it hard to mistake it for someone else.
As Su Mingyang flipped through the pages, he made a lot of noise and exclaimed in surprise.
"Holy crap, this is so exciting!"
"This is good. Anyway, he can't see it anymore, so I'll keep it for him."
"I never knew Niu Hongsheng was a Best Actor, amazing!"
I was just about to tell him to stop causing trouble and focus on finding clues when he suddenly exclaimed, "Isn't that Sister Wu?"
"Sister Wu?"
Upon hearing this, I quickly put down Niu Hongsheng's phone and went over.
Su Mingyang held a yellowed photograph in his hand.
There are five people in total.
Standing on the far left is Niu Hongsheng, I haven't seen the woman in the middle before, and the third one is Bai Su.
Bai Su and Niu Hongsheng did indeed know each other.
The three young people stood close together, their faces beaming with bright smiles, looking exceptionally happy.
Behind them stood an old man and a young boy.
The younger one is Sister Wu.
And that old man—
That's my grandfather!
