For another four hours, Ning Zhiheng watched quietly without uttering a word! His calm expression made it seem as if he were simply watching a movie.
Jiang Wende couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. In fact, the interrogation methods were not usually as cruel and brutal as they were today.
The usual approach is to start with some milder methods, such as the tiger bench or pepper spray.
This method is painful, but it does not damage bodily functions. Many prisoners cannot endure it for more than four hours.
But seeing Ning Zhiheng's tough attitude today, they wanted to give him a hard time, so they directly used severe torture. These methods were too cruel; after using them, the person was basically crippled.
No one who is experiencing this for the first time can face it calmly, and he was eager to see how this young man would perform.
But clearly, he was disappointed!
The prisoner was already tortured into a mangled mess, and the torture could not continue. Zhang Ping put down the branding iron in his hand, looked at Ning Zhiheng, and saw that he had no intention of stopping.
They had no choice but to turn their gaze back to Jiang Wende, their meaning clear: they could no longer resort to torture.
This was the first time Jiang Wende had encountered such a situation. Usually, when interrogating prisoners, the officers in charge of the case would be present to supervise, and they would step in to stop the torture if it was excessive, since the dead cannot speak.
Therefore, many interrogation officers will deliberately use harsher methods to test the bottom line of the investigators, and then casually say something like, "You've never seen anything like this before? We have even more powerful methods to use."
This is used to express disdain for the fragile nerves of law enforcement personnel, and they often take pleasure in it, finding it effective time and time again!
But from the start of the interrogation until now, Ning Zhiheng, as the supervising officer, has not uttered a single word to stop the torture, allowing them to do as they please.
This turned the tables on him, since everyone has to take responsibility for someone's death.
"Captain Ning, it's getting late, would you like to rest for a bit?" Jiang Wende asked.
"Oh, let's continue. Hurry up, I think the prisoner is about to confess, let's give it our all!" Ning Zhiheng said seriously, seemingly not understanding Jiang Wende's meaning at all.
Jiang Wende's face tightened. This guy's a hothead! What was the Action Section thinking, sending someone like this over here?
This is a contest to see who's more of a loner! Are you trying to cause trouble by going all out?
"Well, let's stop for a while. If we continue, the prisoners might not be able to endure it!" Zhang Ping said somewhat awkwardly.
Seeing Jiang Wende's embarrassment and his somewhat displeased expression, Zhang Ping, unusually, tried to smooth things over.
Given his temperament, he didn't expect to admit defeat so readily; his words sounded very weak.
Ning Zhiheng stood up and walked up to Huang Xiansheng once again. He had to admit that the man's willpower was stronger than he had anticipated.
However, he wasn't worried. Now he was the one with the knife and the axe, and the other was the fish on the chopping block! He was completely at the mercy of the enemy.
"Officer Huang, how are you? Right now it's just physical pain, but if we torture you any further, your body will suffer irreparable damage. If you don't speak up now, it will be too late!" Ning Zhiheng earnestly advised, his expression sincere as if he were empathizing with Huang's pain.
After waiting for a while without receiving a reply, he made a helpless expression, turned to Jiang Wende and said, "I think the suspect is very strong. These superficial injuries will hardly make him talk. How about this, put him directly on the electric chair, turn up the current, and let Staff Officer Huang stretch his muscles!"
Ning Zhiheng showed no sign of stopping. He was determined to destroy him! What an idiot!
It's important to know that the electric chair is the most brutal method. In reality, electric shock is completely different from what's depicted in movies; it's far more sordid and insidious in real life!
The electrodes are to be attached to every sensitive and private part of the prisoner, and the released current causes extremely intense pain.
That's something a normal person can't withstand. Most importantly, it damages a person's internal organs. Once this method is used, the chances of surviving an electric chair accident are very slim.
Yuki Yanagida ultimately died from electrocution; he couldn't survive it!
Jiang Wendela sternly ignored Ning Zhiheng's words, determined not to let this scoundrel run rampant. The Fu Cheng case had just passed; if a similar problem arose again, he didn't know what would happen to Ning Zhiheng, but he knew he would be in deep trouble! He wouldn't take the blame for this!
The situation has now reversed, with the investigators, who were supposed to be overseeing the investigation, demanding harsher punishments. Meanwhile, the usually ruthless interrogators are now demanding a halt to torture.
The exchange between the two sides came to a standstill, creating an awkward situation!
Just when both sides were at a loss for what to do.
"I'll talk!"
A faint sound came from behind.
Huang Xiansheng felt as if he were struggling in an endless darkness, as if a hundred years had passed. It was as if what flowed in his veins was not blood but countless steel needles moving in all directions, constantly stimulating his nerves.
He felt nothing from his bound hands and feet; his wounds repeatedly burst open, blood flowing freely. Each breath was like a giant millstone, difficult and painful. The excruciating pain of breathing filled the air with crimson blood, and his suffocating lungs compressed all his internal organs.
It's so painful!
He truly could not endure it any longer. This was real torture, with absolutely no possibility of resistance. He knew that if he continued to suffer, he would soon fall into the abyss of death, with no way to turn back!
He once thought he was fearless in the face of death, but when the time came, he was completely unable to face it.
"Live on, even if you have to live like a dog!"
Huang Xiansheng's mind screamed hysterically. The moment this thought entered his mind, it shattered all his resolve and all his pride!
