Chapter 27 was found.

Jiang Wanwan didn't know how to comfort Teacher Shi, so she left Teacher Shi a jade pendant that she had carved herself before leaving the school.

Jiang Wanwan was preoccupied throughout the journey.

"Girl, here are two paper cranes. If they are your teachers' personal belongings, and they are still at school or in town, you can still find them."

"Really?" Upon hearing this, Jiang Wanwan's eyes lit up instantly. She couldn't even wait for Old Xia's response and excitedly rushed towards the vice principal's office.

At this very moment, Shi Qingshan was sitting in his office, carefully examining the jade pendant that Jiang Wanwan had given him. The more he looked at it, the more he felt something was amiss. The jade pendant was entirely jet black, yet it felt cool and smooth to the touch. This quality of black jade was extremely rare, and its value was immeasurable.

Just then, Jiang Wanwan rushed into the office. Before Shi Qingshan could even speak, she blurted out, "Teacher, I have a way to find Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng!"

Upon hearing this, Shi Qingshan was taken aback at first, then immediately stood up. He stared intently at Jiang Wanwan, his eyes filled with doubt and anticipation.

Jiang Wanwan seemed oblivious to Shi Qingshan's change in expression. She continued, "Teacher, do you have any of Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng's personal belongings here? If I have these things, I can find a way to locate them!"

Although Shi Qingshan found it unbelievable, he still nodded and replied, "Yes, yes! I happen to have the pens and notebooks that Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng often use. Would these be okay?" As he spoke, he handed the items to Jiang Wanwan.

Jiang Wanwan took the items and carefully put them away.

She turned to Shi Qingshan and said, "Teacher, don't worry, I will definitely find Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng!" After saying that, she hurriedly left the office with Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng's belongings.

Jiang Wanwan found a quiet corner in the school, closed her eyes, and silently recited a spell. After a moment, the two paper cranes slowly took flight. They circled in the air a few times before flying off in one direction.

Jiang Wanwan followed closely behind, her heart filled with anticipation. After walking for an unknown amount of time, the paper crane finally stopped in front of a row of old houses on the hill behind the school.

These houses used to be granaries, and they haven't been used for a long time.

Jiang Wanwan pushed open the door, and a musty smell hit her. She went into the room and found it filled with all sorts of experimental instruments and books.

Jiang Wanwan carefully explored the area with her divine sense and discovered a cellar beneath the house, something most people wouldn't easily find. Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng were curled up unconscious in a corner.

Jiang Wanwan took out her phone, dialed 120 first, and then told Shi Qingshan her location.

Jiang Wanwan checked on the two people. They were pale and had chapped lips, clearly indicating that they had been locked up for a long time and were suffering from severe dehydration.

Jiang Wanwan took out spiritual spring water from her space and fed each of them two drops. Only after seeing that their vital signs were stable did she feel relieved.

A moment later, Shi Qingshan arrived, panting. When he saw the two teachers' miserable state in the basement, his eyes instantly reddened, and he kept blaming himself for not finding them sooner.

It's not surprising that Shi Qingshan couldn't find it. Bald Zhang discovered the basement by chance, and even the owner of the granary didn't know there was such a basement.

At the time, Bald Zhang was very distressed that teachers Zheng and Xiao wouldn't let go of the student disappearance case. So, he decided to lure the two teachers here and imprison them.

At first, Bald Zhang tried to persuade them to join his camp and even sent them some decent food.

However, the two teachers remained steadfast in their principles, even unto death. Bald Zhang gradually lost patience and stopped being polite to them, only sending them water and steamed buns each day to ensure they wouldn't starve.

He planned to sell them along with the next batch of goods. But unexpectedly, the plan was eventually exposed, and Bald Zhang himself was arrested.

The delivery boy knew that Bald Zhang had powerful backing and was eagerly waiting for Bald Zhang to come out and lead him to do something big.

So he would deliver food to the basement every few days until a week ago when he saw that the county leaders had all fallen from power, and he was so frightened that he fled overnight.

If Jiang Wanwan hadn't found and rescued the two teachers in time, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

A tense and oppressive atmosphere permeated the Qingshi Town Health Center, and a group of worried people crowded in front of the operating room.

Upon hearing the news, Jiang Wanwan's parents rushed over, their faces filled with worry. Besides Shi Qingshan, other teachers who had also come after hearing the news gathered together with solemn expressions.

At this moment, a tall and upright man, who was at least 180 cm tall, walked over. He was none other than Principal Yang Dong.

Principal Yang walked straight up to Jiang Wanwan, his eyes filled with gratitude and appreciation: "Jiang Wanwan, thank you so much for helping us find our two missing teachers!"

Jiang Wanwan looked up in surprise at the dignified yet kind principal. She said softly, "Principal, Teacher Xiao and Teacher Zheng are both good teachers. I'm their student, and this is what I should do!"

Principal Yang nodded in approval. He patted Jiang Wanwan on the shoulder and encouraged her, "You did very well, child."

The surrounding teachers echoed Principal Yang's words, praising and affirming Jiang Wanwan.

The operating room door opened quickly.

"Both patients are severely dehydrated, but fortunately their lives are not in danger. They have probably not eaten or drunk for a week. Once they wake up, they will eat some easily digestible food, such as millet porridge."

The waiting crowd breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

Seeing that the two teachers were not in any danger, Jiang Wanwan took her parents and bid farewell to the other teachers.

"Wanwan, wait a minute!" Shi Qingshan hurriedly called out to Jiang Wanwan, then pulled her aside to a secluded spot. He nervously pulled out the landscape plaque from his pocket, clutching it tightly in his hand as if it were an incomparably precious treasure.

Jiang Wanwan was somewhat surprised, looking at Shi Qingshan's serious expression, not understanding what had happened.

Shi Qingshan took a deep breath and said slowly, "Wanwan, this jade pendant is far too precious for me to accept. You should keep it safe. I appreciate your kindness."

As he spoke, he handed the landscape plaque to Jiang Wanwan, but she did not immediately reach out to take it.

Jiang Wanwan gazed at Shi Qingshan, her eyes shining with determination, and said softly, "Teacher, this is just a small gift to express my gratitude to you. It's not some rare treasure, but something I carefully chose, hoping it will bring you good luck and peace. Please don't refuse it; just consider it a small token of my appreciation."

Upon hearing this, Shi Qingshan was deeply moved; such sincerity was truly touching.

"Wanwan, then I'll accept your kind offer. Please come to the school more often to visit us old folks."

"Teacher, you haven't aged at all, and your charm is as undiminished as ever!"
