Chapter 40 Chapter 40 Do you really want to be beaten?

On the day of the ticket sale, five minutes before the midnight release date, Tang Ke crouched beside the router, nervously refreshing the page. Everyone else in the office was on lunch break, so she couldn't call Fu Yu, so she had to use a silent video call. Whenever someone got a ticket, they would give the camera a thumbs-up.

She had little confidence in herself. She'd been defeated countless times at concerts, music festivals, and large-scale comic conventions. Her 1% chance of winning was only made possible by grabbing high-speed rail tickets during holidays. She pinned her hopes on Fu Yu's 120% ability, averaging their win rates to give her a passing grade.

Fu Yu was grabbing tickets online, and the camera flipped to show her the screen. When there was only one minute left, it flipped back and she leaned her phone against the monitor.

The auspicious moment had arrived, and Tang Ke's eyes were red with anxiety. The sudden appearance of "System Busy" broke the camel's back. He glanced at Fu Yu in the small window: his middle finger pressed rapidly on the left mouse button, the lens reflecting a calm white light.

A few seconds later he clicked the thumbs-up button. Tang Ke jumped up with joy. His eyes went dark and he quickly held onto the wall. He walked out of the office in the dark and celebrated in the corridor.

"Fu Yu, you're amazing. You do great things quietly, but a little impatience can lead to big trouble. From now on, you'll be the best in the world in my heart!"

In contrast, Fu Yu seemed much calmer. He silently scanned the code to pay and asked her, "We've already grabbed the tickets for numbers 6 and 7. What do you want to do?"

"Holy crap." Tang Ke's jaw dropped. "How did you do that?"

"Open two web pages."

"What else are you talking about? Camisa, Hangzhou is yours."

“Thank you.”

"Let's go on the 6th. How about we spend the day in Hangzhou on the 7th? That way we can come back relaxed and at ease, otherwise we'll be in a rush and crawling."

"good."

Fu Yu refunded his ticket for the 7th and booked a hotel for another night. He said, "Luckily, we booked the hotel early. There are no rooms around the convention center anymore."

Tang Ke: "If there's no room, we can go to Leifeng Pagoda for the night. It's a good opportunity for the three of us to play Landlord together."

Fu Yu: "Leifeng Pagoda is on the other side of West Lake, more than 30 kilometers away from the Convention and Exhibition Center."

Tang Ke: "What's near the convention center?"

Fu Yu: "Qiantang River."

Tang Ke: "I can't help but transform into a stubborn fish."

Fu Yu was wearing headphones when someone suddenly put his arm around his shoulder from behind. When he looked up, he saw it was Wu Jiang who had just finished lunch.

"Video chatting with my wife? So disgusting." He joked nonchalantly.

"Go away." Fu Yu brought his phone closer, his face dominating the screen.

"Who is it?" Tang Ke asked.

Fu Yu: "No one."

Wu Jiang snorted and squeezed into the camera, "My sister-in-law!"

Tang Ke waved and greeted, "Hi! Long time no see!"

Fu Yu: "I'm wearing headphones, he can't hear me."

Although Wu Jiang couldn't hear, he waved at the screen and asked, "What did she say?"

Fu Yu turned off the phone and said, "You're disturbing our world of two."

Wu Jiang curled his lips and said nothing.

Seeing that he seemed to be busy, Tang Ke suggested that they go home and talk again, and hung up the video. Fu Yu took off his Bluetooth headset and looked at him coldly.

"Are you happy now? You are such a cold-hearted person. I will never forgive you."

"You're crazy." Wu Jiang stayed away.

Within a few hours, he was back. The latest project was incredibly challenging, with immense pressure from superiors. Not only was their development team, but the planning team was also overwhelmed, as was the testing team, who were waiting for them to finish digging the dirt and get ready to start testing. The tight schedule was so interconnected that if one gear got stuck, the entire project would grind to a halt. Wu Jiang admired Fu Yu. Even with the company's hectic schedule, he insisted on not working overtime. He didn't pay any attention to anything that wasn't his responsibility, which seemed a bit lacking in personal touch.

Without their core team leader, the team's overtime efficiency declined. It wasn't that they didn't know how to solve many problems, but rather that they lacked timely guidance, wasting a lot of time trying to find the right direction. Since realizing they couldn't find Fu Yu after work, the team members tried to consult him during the day.

As more and more people came to ask for advice, Fu Yu's voice became hoarse. In addition, there were endless progress reports and meetings every day. He was gifted to be able to shout out a few clear and melodious words.

Before going home, Fu Yu bought a box of throat lozenges from a convenience store. He put one in his mouth, which made him feel better. A lot of work needed to be finalized before the holidays, so he'd been talking a lot today, almost non-stop, and his mouth was dry.

Coincidentally, Tang Ke cooked a pot of pear soup at home, saying that it was the peak season for autumn pears, the price was particularly cheap, and each pear was as big as her two fists, majestic and magnificent.

Fu Yu didn't feel whether it was the peak season or not, he just felt that Tang Ke was quite prosperous for him.

"Would you like to drink it? I also added wolfberries to nourish the liver and kidneys." Tang Ke strongly recommended it.

"Drink, I'll do it myself." Fu Yu took the bowl and served himself.

Tang Ke could tell there was something wrong with his throat and asked, "What happened? Who chopped your throat?"

Fu Yu nodded, scooped up the soup with a spoon and drank it, a sweet taste spreading on the tip of his tongue.

"That's great, drink more."

Tang Ke had already drunk a bowl and had nothing to do, so he propped up his chin and watched him drink.

Her gaze was a little fiery to Fu Yu, and he thought she was waiting for his feedback. He cleared his throat and said sincerely, "It's delicious. This is the best pear soup I've ever tasted."

Tang Ke laughed: "Who asked you to make conversation when you have nothing to say?"

"You kept looking at me." Fu Yu explained.

"My phone is charging in the living room, so I can't look at anything else but you."

"......" Fu Yu unlocked his phone with his fingerprint and handed it to her, "Let's play."

His phone wallpaper is the initial wallpaper, and the software on the desktop are classified according to function. He is definitely a planner.

Tang Ke raised his eyebrows: "You trust me so much? Can I see anything?"

"There's nothing to see." Fu Yu said.

Tang Ke clicked on the familiar Little Red Potato, but the content on the homepage was not familiar at all. Three of the four posts were games, and there was also an official notice from the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center.

"Are you taking much?" she asked.

"Not much, I just carry a bag."

"There's still space in my suitcase. You can put your things in mine. The less you carry, the better." Tang Ke's luggage wasn't too much; it couldn't fill up a 20-inch suitcase, but it wasn't too little either; a backpack wouldn't be enough to hold it all.

"Okay." Fu Yu didn't bother to be polite with her. "Are you starting to pack so early? There are still a few days left."

Tang Ke scrolled through his phone without looking up, only chuckling, "I'm looking forward to it. I've got my clothes ready, my underwear ready, and I even brought my Polaroid camera and bought fifty sheets of film. I've been waiting for this day."

Fu Yu finished a bowl of pear soup and went to get another one. As expected, without a phone, he could only look at people. He ate the pear in his mouth and looked at Tang Ke.

"Can I see your photo album?" Tang Ke felt that his little sweet potato was a bit boring.

Fu Yu replied in a daze: "Yeah."

The photo album was filled with either photos of documents or screenshots of code. Tang Ke swiped through them one by one, trying to understand them, but failed. She took a sip of her pear soup and said, "You look really busy."

"Not bad." Fu Yu saw her licking her lower lip and imitated her unconsciously.

"Hey!" Tang Ke suddenly opened his eyes wide and raised his voice: "Isn't this me? Why did you intercept so many?!"

This guy saved some dirty photos while they were having a video call. Isn't this a complete disgrace to society?

"There's no point in deleting it. I have a backup." Fu Yu remained calm.

"...Do you think you can grasp my lifeblood like this?" Tang Ke glared at him, discouraged: "Then you succeeded."

Fortunately, she had taken care of her image before video chatting with him, so she wasn't terribly ugly. At least her hair wasn't greasy, so what if she was bewitched? She consoled herself.

Fu Yu's eyes flickered as her fingers moved absentmindedly. He suddenly sensed something and wanted to reach out to block it, but it was too late.

"Oh my god!" Tang Ke dodged him, grabbed his phone and ran away, shouting, "Fu Yu, why didn't you tell me you had this thing earlier?!"

She seemed to have strangled his lifeblood and was provocative in a fierce and aggressive manner.

"Let me see—oh, you have a nice body! Oh, look at those arms, look at those abs! Oh, man, you have something!"

There are thousands of male idols on the Internet, but none of them can compare to the casual stripping of the people around them. Tang Ke savored it with relish, magnifying it with two fingers, and her six-pack abs were so white that they blinded her eyes.

Fu Yu chased after her, his ears dyed red with embarrassment, and he weakly snatched it away, "Don't look at it."

Tang Ke pretended not to understand, dodging nimbly and talking to himself: "When was this taken? Who took it for you? Your technique is really good, every muscle line is there."

"Don't look at it..." Fu Yu was helpless with this slippery loach, and the feeling of shame had already spread to his head. He didn't know what to do.

He hadn't deleted the three photos Wu Jiang had taken of him while playing basketball, and had forgotten about them over time. Now that they'd been dug up and lashed out at him, it seemed to indirectly confirm that he was an extremely narcissistic exhibitionist, which was more painful than killing him. If shame could be eaten, then he would have no worries for the rest of his life.

Tang Ke knew he didn't dare to use force on her, so she cunningly squatted down, hugged her knees, and stood guard with her back to him. She secretly turned her head to look at him, then at the pretty boy on her phone, then at the real guy, and then at the pretty boy again...

"Hidden deep, hidden deep," she repeated in a daze, then decided: "I'm going to send it to my phone."

"Don't..." Fu Yu wanted her not to act rashly, and in a hurry he blurted out, "I'm going to take it off for you to see, please don't post it."

Tang Ke paused, turned around little by little on his heels, and stared at him curiously.

The two sides were deadlocked for a few seconds, and she was the first to speak, "Take it off."

Fu Yu looked ridiculous: "Are you serious?"

Tang Ke didn't answer, lowered his head and opened WeChat.

"I'll take it off, I'll take it off, put your phone down." Fu Yu hurriedly tore open the hem of his clothes with one hand, and acted according to the situation with the other hand.

The phone was knocked to the ground.

In the end, he was unable to clear himself of the suspicion of exhibitionism, nor could he prevent the photos from being leaked. He heard with his own ears the crisp message alert tone from her phone as she lay on the sofa.

Tang Ke picked up the phone with great success and returned it to him. He patted his sturdy shoulders maturely and said:

“Everything changes with time, and you will have to pay for what you have done.

"Anyway, thanks for the treat."
