Chapter 33 Thunderstorm Weather

Seeing that the young lady remained unmoved despite their sobbing, the two maids were truly heartbroken. They lamented their misfortune and hugged each other tightly, continuing to cry.

The crying eventually moved even Bai Chongjiang, who had suddenly woken up.

These two people have really had a tough time.

However, she also had a tough time. She thought she could cultivate in peace and quiet after coming to this world, but who would have thought that she would have to face the domestic power struggles typical of traditional romance novels.

"It's not easy being a working person!" she sighed.

Even though she is now the only legitimate daughter of a cultivation family with a history of ten thousand years and possesses the bloodline of a legendary divine beast, such a "high-profile" background can only keep her confined to this courtyard for the time being.

Bai Chongjiang looked at the water tank next to the yard, where the carp king was swimming around and occasionally jumping out of the water.

It doesn't look comfortable either.

Before the thought was even finished, the sky had already changed dramatically, and the bright sunlight was instantly obscured by dark clouds.

Clusters of clouds churned low in the sky, as if foreshadowing an impending storm. In the blink of an eye, large raindrops began to pelt down, shattering the afternoon tranquility.

Bai Chongjiang had already noticed the change in the weather. She shouted, "It's thundering! It's raining! Hurry home!"

With her shout, she nimbly rushed into the room before the raindrops fell, as if racing against the weather.

Yue Lan and Tao Hong were already lost in their own emotions when they were startled by Bai Chong Jiang's loud voice. They were stunned and didn't react in time, and were then soaked to the bone by the heavy rain that followed.

When the two sisters awoke as if from a dream and rushed into the house, their clothes were already soaked through, clinging to their skin and exuding a chill.

The torrential rain arrived so suddenly and unexpectedly; the rolling thunder on the horizon sounded like the roar of a giant beast, shaking the very soul. The earth trembled, as if foreshadowing an unknown disaster about to strike.

Bai Chongjiang stood by the window, his gaze piercing through the rain curtain, looking towards the distant horizon. Dark clouds gathered, layer upon layer, as if threatening to swallow the entire sky.

Streaks of lightning ripped through the darkness, illuminating the sky. The surging spiritual energy was like a turbulent ocean, flowing wildly as if telling the secrets of the world.

This scene reminded Bai Chongjiang of his experience at the Deer Horn Workshop.

"Could it be that some immortals are fighting, and we innocent bystanders have been caught in the crossfire?"

Inside the palace.

The old emperor, Si Qi, hurriedly ordered his eunuch, "Fang Gui, go and ask the Imperial Advisor what's going on. The gods are protected by formations, so why is there such a sudden upheaval?"

The eunuch hurriedly agreed and went to do so.

The Imperial Advisor stood on the observatory, looking at the magic array and celestial phenomena, his brows furrowed: "The magic array is functioning normally."

He looked eastward, intuitively sensing that something significant must have happened there, but the distance was too great for him to see. He tried to calculate, but the secrets of heaven were completely obscured, impossible to glimpse.

He felt a sense of unease; such a major incident hadn't happened in many years.

It seems that with the arrival of great events, the laws of heaven are about to undergo a major change!

Seeing the unusual celestial phenomenon, the Second Prince smiled outside the delivery room.

"As expected, fate is on my side. This extraordinary phenomenon of thunder and rain proves that my son is no ordinary person!"

The third prince was extremely anxious. Of the seven princes, only his children lacked spiritual roots, which would be a fatal weakness in the future struggle for the throne.

"It seems that the matter concerning the Bai family must be dealt with as soon as possible."

Bai Chongjiang didn't panic during the sudden downpour. She skillfully dismantled flammable materials in the room, gathered a small stool, a foot pedal, and other small items, piled them together, and set them on fire. The room was immediately brightened.

"Come and warm yourself by the fire, and change your clothes, or you'll catch a cold," Bai Chongjiang said warmly.

The two girls were surprised that Bai Chongjiang was so forgiving. They exchanged glances before quietly moving closer to dry their clothes.

While adding wood, Bai Zhongjiang asked, "Didn't you two bring any changes of clothes?"

The two shook their heads.

In this courtyard, only Bai Chongjiang's room is currently usable for sleeping; their clothes are still in their original place.

"Then you can find my clothes to wear."

The little girl was a bit taken aback when her master, who had just been bullying them, suddenly became so gentle.

"This rain doesn't look like it will last long. Once it stops, you can go back and take a hot bath and drink some ginger soup."

The little girl answered hesitantly.
