95. Parents are back
"Who told you to always lecture me..." The second brother said, tears welling up in his eyes again. He plopped down in the chair, then immediately jumped up with a "Ouch!"
Jin Qizhi finally raised her head, her small face full of exhaustion: "Then tell me, did you do something wrong on the training ground today?"
The second brother lowered his head, like a defeated rooster, muttering to himself, "I know I was wrong, but didn't I shake hands and make peace with the little prince? You keep nagging me..."
"Come here." Jin Qizhi beckoned.
The second brother walked over slowly, looking at Jin Qizhi warily, afraid of being beaten again.
But then Jin Qizhi picked up a handkerchief and gently wiped away the tears and ink stains on his face.
“I can rewrite the policy essay,” Jin Qizhi’s voice softened, “but you have to promise me that you won’t be so willful again.”
The second brother nodded, sobbing, then suddenly burst into tears again, throwing himself into Jin Lanyue's arms: "Big brother, I'm sorry, I know I was wrong..."
Suddenly, a big head nestled into his arms. The little dumpling was stunned for a moment, then hesitantly patted his head: "Don't cry, don't cry..."
The second brother knelt on the ground, burying his head in his sister's arms, and continued to cry loudly.
Jin Qizhi couldn't bear to look, so he turned his head and picked out all the policy essays whose handwriting was still legible, and then spread out a new sheet of Xuan paper.
He then paused.
He couldn't believe it; what kind of brother would run into his sister's arms and cry?
We should find him something to do.
then--
“Come here,” he said to his second brother with a stern face, “You are responsible for copying the parts that are clear, and I will be responsible for memorizing the parts that you have crossed out.”
The second brother, rubbing his still-aching bottom, pouted and reluctantly moved away from his sister, then shuffled over: "So many words..."
Jin Qizhi slapped him on the back of the head: "Isn't this all your doing!"
The second brother picked up the calligraphy brush with a wronged expression: "Why did you hit me so hard..."
Stop talking nonsense and hurry up and write.
The two children sat side by side at the desk, engrossed in copying.
The little dumpling was sitting on a small stool to keep him company, but after a while, his little head started nodding, like a sleepy kitten.
Soon, he fell asleep sitting up.
"My little sister is asleep," the second brother whispered.
Jin Qizhi looked up and said softly, "Go and get the blanket from the soft couch."
The second brother tiptoed to get a blanket, and Jin Qizhi gently carried her to the soft couch, carefully covering her with the blanket. The second brother even tucked in the corner of the blanket.
"You're quite good at taking care of your younger sister," Jin Qizhi said in a low voice.
The second brother pouted and said, "Of course, I'm not just a troublemaker."
The two exchanged a glance, and although they both looked at each other with a bit of disdain, they tacitly returned to their desks and continued to bury themselves in copying.
I don't know how much time passed, but when only a few words remained in the policy essay, I heard footsteps and voices outside the door.
"Oh no, Father and Mother are back!" The second brother panicked.

Little dumpling: (Touching the draft box) Don't be sad, hurry up and pour out more words.
Little Dumpling: (Patting the draft box) It's okay, it's okay. Although the rating is a little lower, there are a little fewer positive reviews, a little fewer requests for updates, and a little fewer readers...
Second brother: Wow, that sounds terrible. Will it really get cut off if this continues?
(The drafts in the archives are now frozen in place, feeling utterly dejected.)
Little dumpling: No, no, the older sisters all like Yue'er very much... (expectantly) Right?
Little Dumpling: (Hands clasped together) Please, sister, could you give me a good review? I'll definitely open the draft box!
