Looking at the brief record in the document, Gu Li learned that Liu Xian and Liu Mingtang were not related, but met in an art instruction class.
They were both art students before going to university, which is how they met.
What Gu Li was mainly concerned about was that this person was also Jiang Xu's former roommate.
Just like how major evils encourage minor evils, they really aren't good people.
Gu Li's headache lessened somewhat as his attention was diverted. He put his feet on the chair, rested his head on his knees, and from this angle, he could see the surface of his wrist.
The time is 9:37.
He thought it was still early, and he wanted to talk to Jiang Xu about something.
The call was dialed, and as Gu Li held the phone to her ear, the screen felt a little cool.
When Jiang Xu heard his phone ring, he was looking at various data and situations of his company. He glanced at the screen and answered, "Gu Li?"
"Hmm," Gu Li responded softly, "What are you doing?"
Jiang Xu glanced at the file on the desktop; the file name was: Home Decoration Sales Contract.
"I was just about to take a break," he said, quickly glancing at the documents before signing and closing them. "What about you?"
Gu Li: "I've discovered something I'd like to tell you. Could you give me some time?"
Jiang Xu walked towards the room. "Of course, I'm listening."
Gu Li got straight to the point, "Liu Mingtang and Liu Xian know each other."
Jiang Xu was somewhat surprised, "They actually know each other."
Gu Li paused before speaking, "Jiang Xu, have you ever been bullied by them?" He added, "I mean, before."
Jiang Xu: "Me?" The original owner had, but he didn't. "I've never done that, so how could they bully me?"
“Okay,” Gu Li looked at his watch. “That’s true, it’s just them.” He slowly exhaled. “That’s good. There’s one more thing to say. I’m sorry.”
Jiang Xu paused in his steps. "What did you do to offend me? Tell me and I'll see if I can forgive you."
Gu Li said jokingly, "I'm afraid I won't be able to get up tomorrow morning and will break our promise, so I'm apologizing in advance." But what he really wanted was those photos that Jiang Xu was unaware of.
Jiang Xu said, "This is to prevent problems before they occur." He walked towards the bedroom balcony. "Your balcony looks so empty. I feel like something's missing." He sensed that Gu Li's mood was a little off.
Gu Li, "Hmm?" He didn't react to the sudden change of topic. "What's missing?" he asked subconsciously.
Jiang Xu said, looking at the empty balcony, "We're missing a handsome redhead. What do you think?"
He didn't hear Gu Li's reply, but he heard breathing and footsteps. The next moment, the balcony door opposite was suddenly pulled open, and Gu Li came out holding her phone.
Gu Li looked across the street through the glass partitions on both sides. "I think so too," he said, then opened the window. "Now it won't be empty anymore, right?"
Listening to the voice coming from the phone's receiver and Gu Li's own voice, Jiang Xu thought it was pretty good. "Yeah, it all shines now."
Gu Li said, "Yours is too, super bright." He pointed to his phone. "You can hang up now. It's perfectly reasonable for me to call and you to hang up."
Jiang Xu hung up the phone. "Aren't you tired after playing all day? You even went to study materials tonight."
Gu Li shook her head. "You're tired but quite awake. You're planning to sleep, right? Then go to sleep early."
Jiang Xu said, "I'm quite sleepy." He pulled the screen window open completely and stretched out his hand. "I'll share some with you."
Gu Li opened the screen window with the same force as he pulled the balcony door, reaching out his hand just as decisively.
Their hands touched briefly in the summer breeze, and Gu Li felt a unique warmth. "Will it work?"
Jiang Xu: "Of course."
They withdrew their hands, and without the screen window to conceal them, they could see each other more clearly. Jiang Xu turned on his phone and said, "Look, it's 9:50 PM now. Go lie down and I guarantee you'll be asleep by 10 PM."
Gu Li, "So effective?"
"Okay." Jiang Xu nodded. "I won't give you a chance to break your promise. Go to sleep."
Gu Li said, "Okay then." He glanced at the phone Jiang Xu was holding up, which slowly went dark. "Goodnight, really." He seemed genuinely sleepy, and his headache had subsided considerably.
Jiang Xu: "Okay, see you tomorrow."
The sun was shining brightly on Friday. After the last class in the afternoon, it was the weekend, and Jiang Xu scheduled his driving practice for the third stage of his driving test for that time.
The third stage of the driving test involves practicing directly at the test site. This method of practice made it easier for Jiang Xu to convince his instructor that the third stage of the driving test would only be more convenient for him.
Hu Bingbing felt that she was quite lucky. The only person she could think of asking Jiang Xu's driving test instructor these days was Liu Xian.
Liu Xian was still practicing for his driving test (Part 2), and since it was his third time practicing, Coach Zhang Ziran adopted a quick and decisive strategy for him, increasing the number of consecutive practice sessions before he took the test.
This also serves to prevent Liu Xian from becoming rusty or forgetful due to time intervals.
He went to the driving school frequently, and Hu Bingbing didn't need any reason to go with Liu Xian. As long as she ran into Jiang Xu once, she would know who his instructor was.
Moreover, she didn't believe that Jiang Xu would only come once and then never come back. Compared to the standardized format of the second subject, the third subject was more flexible, and Hu Bingbing felt that Jiang Xu also needed some practice.
Today, she finally got what she'd been waiting for.
Hu Bingbing spent most of her time sitting in the waiting area, which faced a whole row of parking spaces. Her seat ensured that no one would miss getting on the bus.
So when Jiang Xu walked out of the driving school lobby and headed towards the parking area, she happened to see him.
She saw Jiang Xu find the license plate, get in the car, and then the vehicle drove away.
Hu Bingbing noted down the license plate number. Now all she needed to know was who the instructor was. All the waiting these past few days had finally paid off.
She was playing on her phone, and now the wait had become meaningful.
After a while, "Bingbing," Liu Xian came running over, "I'm all better now. I feel bad making you wait every day. Let's go now."
Hu Bingbing smiled and said, "It's alright, but I have some things to do, so you should go back first."
Liu Xian: "Then I'll keep you company too. You've been keeping me company these past few days."
Hu Bingbing said, "No need, you must have something else to do," she tilted her head, a little embarrassed. "Besides, there are some things that boys can't do. I called my girlfriends over, you should go back first, okay?" After she finished speaking, she looked at Liu Xian, her face slightly red.
Liu Xian, "Well," he hesitated a bit, but there were indeed some things he couldn't easily accompany, "Okay, Bingbing, please be careful."
Hu Bingbing nodded, "Okay, I will, bye-bye." She smiled and waved to Liu Xian.
Liu Xian waved and left.
As Hu Bingbing watched his departing figure, the smile on her face vanished completely. This guy was finally gone.
The person she was really waiting for returned just in time; Jiang Xu's car came back.
