Zhao Rangwen's confidence is linked to his ability; at least in this professional field, he is indeed quite good. Jiang Xu looked at Zhao Rangwen, who was gradually expressing his views in the small window, and felt a little sorry for him.
Even if someone is very capable, having mental problems can still be quite troublesome.
After this group finished, Jiang Xu got up to go to the scene to check on the situation.
As they walked towards the exit, they ran into the people returning. Zhao Rangwen was walking on the far side, clearly pleased with his performance. He smiled at Jiang Xu, "You saw it, didn't you? I also saw Gu Li. He kept looking at me." He deliberately added the last sentence.
He kept staring at him? Jiang Xu knew it was impossible, but he still felt a little uncomfortable. What could he do? He curled the corner of his mouth slightly. "He kept staring at you?"
Zhao Rangwen nodded without the slightest hint of guilt.
Jiang Xu suddenly realized something, "But he's calling me over now." "Hey! Did he call you?"
Zhao Rangwen's smile froze slightly. "Are you so sure it's a good thing he called you?"
Jiang Xu hesitated for a moment, then smiled and said, "Guess?" Of course, feeling uncomfortable makes the person you dislike even more uncomfortable.
After he finished speaking, he walked away without paying any attention to anyone else, the young man's black hair slowly disappearing into the distance.
Zhao Rangwen took a deep breath, and the feeling of being suppressed faded away. Then he wondered, did Gu Li contact him? Really?
When Jiang Xu arrived at the venue, he looked towards where Gu Li was. There were already more people there, and many people were sitting near the red-haired man. Jiang Xu walked towards him.
Gu Li was propping his head up and looking out the window when someone tapped him on the shoulder. He turned his head and his calm eyes lit up. "You've finally arrived."
Jiang Xu sat down beside him. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
Gu Li nodded. "It's been so long. I was starting to think you were lost and was about to broadcast a missing person announcement on the radio." He looked at Jiang Xu. "I even had the script ready. It's such a shame."
Jiang Xu said, "What a pity!" He looked at Gu Li, whose face was full of 'ask me what word it is'. "What word?" It was too obvious, and he couldn't bear not to cooperate with him.
"Hey," Gu Li said with a hint of excitement in his eyes, "Hello, little Jiang Xu! Please come to the competition venue after you hear the announcement. Your brother is waiting for you there." He finished speaking in a broadcasting tone, then added with a smile, "What do you think?"
Jiang Xu commented frankly, "Something's missing, and some things are wrong."
Gu Li tilted her head. "What's missing?"
Jiang Xu laughed, "It would be clearer to say that the most eye-catching person in the whole place is waiting for me." He looked at Gu Li carefully, and then added, "Well, the most eye-catching one is more accurate."
Gu Li laughed too, "I feel bad that you got lost, so what was wrong with you?"
Jiang Xu said, "I'm the older brother." After he finished speaking, he took off one of his earphones and gently placed it next to Gu Li's ear. He smiled and tapped his phone.
Listening to the voice coming from his headphones, Gu Li felt a bit like killing himself for getting carried away with the game. Three stars and five-cost units were really addictive.
After playing it once, Jiang Xu mischievously clicked it again. When he heard the low laughter at the beginning again, he couldn't take it anymore. Gu Li turned her head away, put her hands on the table, and buried her face in her hands.
He couldn't listen to any more; he felt ashamed.
Jiang Xu looked at Gu Li with a smile on his lips, but his voice remained steady, "Who do you think is the older brother?" After all, if he kept laughing at the red-haired guy, he might have to keep burying his head in the sand.
Gu Li didn't speak, but moved a little further away, and then whispered, "Of course it's me."
Jiang Xu said, "I see," he paused for a moment, "How about we let someone else judge it?" He felt that lying down all the time wasn't a good idea.
Gu Li: "Whatever you want."
Jiang Xu said, "I really made it!" He deliberately made some noise, "Really!"
Gu Li stood up abruptly, his hair fluttering with his movements. He moved quickly, grabbing the phone Jiang Xu was holding, their fingertips intertwining slightly.
Gu Li gripped his hand tightly, and Jiang Xu could feel the noticeable pressure on his fingertips. "Not like me anymore?"
Gu Li said, "I suddenly feel that I should try to fight for it. If all else fails, there's always another way."
Jiang Xu looked at the person and asked, "What road?"
Gu Li's lips curled into a smile, a strand of hair sticking to the corner of his eye, making him look particularly wild amidst his disheveled appearance. "The violent cooperation route."
Jiang Xu reached out his other hand and approached Gu Li. Gu Li looked at Jiang Xu's movements and said, "Wait, let's consider other routes first, okay?" After he finished speaking, he stepped back.
Jiang Xu pulled a fingertip from his hand, which was intertwined with someone else's, and pressed it against Gu Li's fingertip. "Don't move."
Gu Li's retreat was stopped. He felt a fingertip brush against the corner of his eye, a gentle sensation that left him with a slight itch. "Hmm?" He was a little confused about what had happened.
Jiang Xu curled his finger and tugged at that strand of hair. "It's pressed against your face, didn't you feel it?"
Gu Li thought for a moment, and the only sensation she could feel on that patch of skin was from Jiang Xu. "I didn't feel anything, maybe a little itchy." But now the sensation was much clearer.
Jiang Xu and Gu Li both withdrew their hands. He shook the phone in his hand and said, "I have proof that I am the older brother."
Gu Li: "I'll be offline tomorrow, I'll delete it for you."
Jiang Xu said, "It will be too late tomorrow. By tomorrow, you won't be able to delete all the backups I've made."
Gu Li: "Then let's do it today."
Jiang Xu: "Not today. You said you'd give me a whole day free, of course that's fine."
The memory clearly reminded Gu Li, "There was no other way."
Jiang Xu: "Yes, just accept him as your brother."
Gu Li tilted her head, her face expressionless, and calmly said, "Then there's only one last option left."
Jiang Xu: "Tell me about it."
Gu Li remained calm. He leaned closer to Jiang Xu and whispered in his ear, "Then we'll have to kill him to silence him." His voice was calm, yet it gave off a chilling feeling.
Jiang Xu calmly turned his head to look at Gu Li, and spoke in a calm and indifferent tone, "How can you be so sure that I am alive?" His voice trailed off, becoming softer and softer towards the end, giving it a truly ethereal quality.
Gu Li then broke the mood by winking, "How about we watch a horror movie together tomorrow? What do you think?"
Jiang Xu also composed himself. "Are you sure?"
Gu Li said, "It's pitiful that I've always watched movies alone since I was little, and I'm constantly rejected by my friends. I finally thought I'd found a good friend to watch with me," his voice growing sadder as he spoke, "but it seems he's going to reject me too." After he finished acting, he winked at Jiang Xu and said, "Don't you think I'm pitiful?"
Jiang Xu adapted well. "Come on, squeeze out a couple of tears for your brother to see." After he finished speaking, he reached out and hooked Gu Li's chin. "Poor little thing?"
