Wang Bing's bed creaked open, and he sat up abruptly. He slowly recalled what he had said, then silently got up and turned on the dormitory light.
Looking up at Jiang Xu, who was leaning against the wall on the bed, she carefully observed his eyes, which were as deep and dark as they had been yesterday.
The abyss disguised itself for a moment, then stopped pretending; the abyss remains.
Jiang Xu tilted his head slightly. "Having a nightmare?" He paused for a moment before continuing, "Or did you remember you were supposed to fetch my book?"
He looked concerned about someone's rest, so Wang Bing couldn't help but glance at him a few more times. He had to admit that Jiang Xu was indeed handsome. Whenever they saw this guy take off his glasses, they would take a second look. Now that he had changed his hairstyle, his temperament was completely different, and his face was even more outstanding.
The difficulties Wang Bing and his friends made for Jiang Xu were naturally driven by the jealousy that was an open secret among people their age. But now that the soft target had become tough, and in such an abnormally tough way.
"Are you mute?" Jiang Xu saw the person staring at him without speaking, and his eyes burned with jealousy. He kindly added fuel to the fire.
"Don't be so arrogant. We're all in the same dorm. What good will it do you to act like this?" Wang Bing said in a serious, elder-like tone, as if he had suddenly come to a realization.
"How could that be? I was just treating you the way you treated me, and you can't even handle that?" Jiang Xu had seen a lot of Jiang Xu being humiliated, and he couldn't let it go unpunished.
"We didn't treat you like this!" Wang Bing's tone gradually intensified, suddenly taking on a self-righteous air. "We just asked you for a few extra favors, and look how you treated us!"
Jiang Xu: "I'm sorry."
Wang Bing was overjoyed to hear his apology, but then he was doused with a bucket of ice-cold water.
“I have a better learning ability than you, so my imitation skills are naturally better. Please bear with me. I don’t have time to change it now. It’s only been a week. Let’s all be understanding and it will pass.”
After Jiang Xu finished speaking, he thought for a moment and continued, "I've been understanding for a year, and you can't even understand for a week?" His tone seemed kind, but all three of them felt a strong sense of threat.
"Then you just said you'd help us get the books?" Wang Bing tried to find loopholes in Jiang Xu's words.
Jiang Xu said, "Hmm, you see you're awake." He raised his wrist and glanced at it. "It's about time, hurry up and go. Do you want me to help you get out?"
He glanced at the three of them one by one. The other two on the bed hurriedly climbed down the ladder, clearly indicating that they had gotten up and were about to leave.
"Brother Wang, Jiang Xu has helped us so many times, it's only right that we help him this time. We'll help you get it too, why don't you go back and get some more sleep?" Liu Xian coaxed, he really didn't want to be threatened.
"Goodbye," Jiang Xu said again, "I've suddenly decided to go by myself. As for you all, just be yourselves."
"Huh?" the three exclaimed in confusion.
"Oh, I misspoke. You guys," Jiang Xu's smile vanished instantly, replaced by a blank expression, "mind your own business."
A provocative atmosphere had been hanging over the dormitory. The peace that had been deliberately maintained for a year was disrupted by Jiang Xu's arrival, and the chaos was spectacular.
As Jiang Xu washed up, he looked at himself in the mirror. A few drops of water clung to the surface. The person in the mirror brushed his hair aside, revealing a spirited young man with vivid and expressive features.
He recalled the scene of looking at the mirror side by side with Gu Li yesterday, wondering if he would be able to see that eye-catching red hair when he picked up the book.
The books are not collected by the whole class together. Students only need to collect their books within a fixed time period, so it is not certain that they will run into each other.
But as it turns out, there were indeed some coincidences between him and Gu Li.
When Jiang Xu arrived at the book-collecting area in front of the teaching building, there were only a few people scattered around, and among them was Gu Li.
The other person bent down to reach for the book they needed to choose. As they bent over, their clothes clung to their waist, outlining the beautiful curve of their strong waist. Jiang Xu saw this and had only one thought.
That's really flirting.
The waistband should fit perfectly in your hand. With your arm pressed against it, you can feel the slight trembling of the muscles when they exert force, or perhaps the uncontrollable shaking when you gently stroke it through the clothes.
Jiang Xu shook his head. He had indeed been abstinent for too long, and was easily tempted by others to have thoughts he shouldn't have.
Gu Li was wearing a black and red short-sleeved shirt, the hem of which was tucked into the fabric, making her legs look incredibly long.
The morning scenery was incredibly pleasing to the eye. Jiang Xu walked in that direction; that was where their class picked up their books.
Just as Jiang Xu approached, he heard Gu Li speak, "Your brother knows he has a good figure, but you've been staring for quite a while. It's one thing for others, but I'll have to charge you for yours."
"Look at you, so cocky." Jiang Xu walked closer to the person. "How do you know I wasn't looking at some book on the ground?"
"No, I'm right here, what are you reading for?" Gu Li picked out the last book, stacked them up a bit, and handed it to Jiang Xu. "Take a look at this book, do you like it?"
“That’s true,” Jiang Xu said, taking it. “Thanks, how much does it cost?”
Gu Li, "How many do you have?"
Jiang Xu: "I don't have any more, just 50 cents."
"I'll only accept coins this time."
Jiang Xu made a move to rummage through his pockets, but Gu Li saw his movement and, before he could take anything out, slowly added, "And I only accept one cent at a time."
Jiang Xu took his hand out of his pocket. "Oh, I see. It's a pity I don't even have a single coin."
Gu Li, “.......”
Gu Li changed the subject, "By the way, why are you being so polite? You're thanking me for helping me with this book," Gu Li said, stepping out of the middle of the book circle. "Don't mention it, it's nothing."
Jiang Xu's expression remained unchanged, but he changed his posture of holding the book to one hand, and placed his other hand on Gu Li's shoulder, gently pushing him back to his original position.
Following Jiang Xu's movements, Gu Li remained standing in the middle of the book, raising an eyebrow at Jiang Xu.
Jiang Xu said, "You're old enough to be an older brother, why don't you help people carry their books? I'd already thank you in advance."
Gu Li, "Isn't someone denying it?"
"That doesn't stop you from bringing it up all the time, does it?" Jiang Xu gestured with his chin. "You've asked for help so many times already, can you do me a favor?"
Gu Li bent down again to pick up the book, her mind filled with the image of Jiang Xu walking over.
The young man was slender and tall, his platinum shirt exuding an air of nobility, and his suit trousers, billowing in the wind, perfectly showcased his straight and smooth leg shape. But what was most captivating were his eyes.
A smile tinged with deep affection, black hair and black pupils, a romance inexplicably overflowing from their depths.
Gu Li, a person who loves beautiful things, compromised very easily.
