Chapter 4 Amazing

"What?" Jiang Xu mimicked Gu Li's earlier actions, the two of them swinging their arms in a playful struggle. "Are you trying to stage an accident?"

"Don't move." Gu Li looked directly at Jiang Xu. "Aren't you really going to get a haircut?"

"I won't go, I won't go, I won't go." Jiang Xu imitated Gu Li's annoying manner, mimicking her expression perfectly, but the force he was using to hold her loosened, and he really didn't move.

"Why?"

Jiang Xu: "Are you shy? Didn't you just say that?"

Gu Li: "Don't be shy, I won't laugh at you."

Jiang Xu: "......" What kind of talk is this? Is this even reasonable? It sounds like Jiang Xu is being unreasonable, but to be honest, Jiang Xu is somewhat pleased.

"Say a few more words to move me, and I'll go." He looked at her, and as Gu Lizhen turned her head away to think, Jiang Xu smiled, a genuinely gentle smile.

"Fine," Gu Li said, letting go of his hand instead. "Take it or leave it." She turned around and pretended to leave, but after taking two steps, she suddenly turned back. "You really don't want to get a haircut with me? I know the best hairdresser here."

When Gu Li turned his head, he was met with a pair of eyes half-hidden in his hair. Those eyes were full of laughter, as if they knew he would turn around and were waiting there.

And the eyes were very similar to the eyes of the person he first met. At that time, the person was standing against the light, with the midday sun hanging on the wall behind them.

Half of it was darkness, and the other half was illuminated by light. His black hair was imbued with the scent of sunshine at that moment. It was the first time Gu Li had broken free from his chaotic emotions and gained clarity. He knew that the feeling he experienced at that moment was called "stunning".

His emotions clearly told him that there was a hint of joy in that feeling.

“Go ahead, it’ll definitely look great,” Gu Li said again. “Aren’t you excited? The best hairdresser, the best service, and it’s free!”

Jiang Xu: "Mm."

Gu Li thought she had been rejected again when she heard this, and her emotions were about to calm down, but the next moment, the waves rose again.

"Let's go, you've won me over."

With the sun high in the sky, being late for the first day of class meeting isn't necessarily a bad thing; after all, something interesting is more appealing than something routine.

The barbershop wasn't far away, and the shop wasn't too big or too small, but it was quite crowded, mainly with women.

Located not far from University A, the store was mostly filled with girls around 20 years old, all dressed exquisitely and beautifully, giving the impression of being at a talent show.

Someone noticed the two entering the room, and the girls' eyes lit up instantly.

"You listened to your sisters, didn't you? You got your money's worth coming here."

"It's a great deal, a real steal! Are those two shop assistants too? I want that red-haired guy to do my hair. He's so handsome, his taste must be amazing."

"The one with black hair is handsome too, but his taste is definitely a bit..."

"Judging from this, the two of them probably aren't shop employees."

Gu Li walked in first, nodded to the shop assistant who approached her, and then asked, "Is Lü Chao upstairs?"

"I'm here. Why are you here today? Didn't you just come to get it done a couple of days ago?"

"You brought people with you. I'll go upstairs to find them first. Hai, you go ahead and do your work."

After the two went upstairs, Gu Li knocked on the door twice and opened it without hesitation. "Where is Chao Gou? Your brother Li is here."

There was a moment of silence upstairs, then a cushion flew over. "Are you trying to get yourself killed? You keep doing this every other day. You better be in trouble."

A blond youth with disheveled hair crawled out from under the covers. He wore a black skull earring in his right ear and swept his hair back to reveal a handsome, roguish face.

"I'm a customer, how can I treat your God like this?" Gu Li and Jiang Xu walked in one after the other.

“You are my son…” Lu Chao paused for a moment when he saw Jiang Xu, then continued, “Son, and who is this?” He smiled and walked over, thinking he had suppressed his laughter well. “He’s my customer, isn’t he? Alright, alright, I’ll let you be my second brother Li.”

"What do you mean?" Jiang Xu only looked at Gu Li, who had brought him here, ignoring the way some people looked at him as if he were braised pork.

“That’s normal,” Gu Li walked over and took over the sofa, the best spot to enjoy the air conditioning. “He loves modifying people. He can tell at a glance how much modification can be done. Someone like you is top-notch in his eyes.”

Gu Li pulled up the blanket, seemingly oblivious to Jiang Xu's questioning gaze, and started playing on her phone, saying, "I won't let you down."

It sounds like you've joined some kind of marketing organization. Do you realize how untrustworthy your tone is?

Jiang Xu glanced at Gu Li and Lü Chao, then thought, "Well, handsome guys can't be that bad."

"I won't dye it," Jiang Xu stated, laying down his bottom line. "The rest is up to you."

“Okay,” Lu Chao nodded. He hadn’t originally intended to dye the other party’s hair. Otherwise, even if Gu Li had found him a job with restrictions, he wouldn’t have done it. “Don’t worry, I guarantee you’ll be satisfied.”

Jiang Xu was quite satisfied with his appearance after getting it done. Looking at his reflection in the mirror, which resembled his own appearance remarkably, he gave Lü Chao a satisfied smile. "Thanks, Alipay or WeChat?"

“Son, he insulted me.” Lu Chao didn’t look back at Gu Li, but walked to the sofa and snatched Gu Li’s phone, looking at the person lying down with a wronged expression.

"Just tell me to leave, don't make me feel disgusted. Give me back my phone, and here's your location." Gu Li took the phone that was handed back, stood up, and looked in Jiang Xu's direction.

He thought that the previous words "amazing" were just superficial icing on the surface. At this moment, Jiang Xu truly amazed Gu Li. It was an intense impact, like a sweet strawberry candied hawthorn, sweet inside and out.

Under the white light, the black-haired person's forehead was lifted, with only a few strands falling down from the left temple. The extreme collision of black and white made the whole person look reserved and noble in an instant. The eyebrows were thick but not heavy, and paired with those soft and affectionate eyes, they were even more captivating.

Looking at each other across the distance, Gu Li seemed to see threads of light. If such threads existed, they would surely be enveloping Jiang Xu at this moment, otherwise why would he appear to be radiating light?

"Well, are you stunned? How can art be measured by money?" Lu Chao lay there like an old man, his words full of pride.

"Yes, that's right, we won't be paying this time." Gu Li readily agreed without any politeness.

“Hey, hey,” Lu Chao wanted to protest, but then looked at Jiang Xu not far away, “Fine, fine, where did you find him? Now you have another handsome guy competing with me for the title of city’s most handsome man.”

"It fell from the sky." After saying that, Gu Li walked towards Jiang Xu, leaned closer, and looked him over again.

"Pretty handsome." Gu Li looked at the mirror behind the two of them. "They're almost as handsome as me."

"No, I'm about to surpass you." Jiang Xu turned around and looked at Gu Li together. "Regretful?"

"Yeah, a little." Gu Li raised her voice after saying that, "Chao Zi, come and fix his bangs, I can't stand it anymore."

"Huh?" Lu Chao lost his grip on his phone and it hit his face. "Don't mess with me. You two go play by yourselves."

"Let's go. Let's go have some fun." Jiang Xu tilted his head at Gu Li, his relaxed demeanor, typical of someone meeting for the first time, radiating without any attempt to hide it.

"Mm." Gu Li nodded, with only one thought in her mind.

Damn, that's even more exciting.
