Jiang Xu noticed that Hu Bingbing was staring intently at him. "I'm a little bothered by your staring," he said calmly. "Or do you think I'm interrupting your conversation? Well..." He paused.
Hu Bingbing immediately replied, "No, no, you don't need to offer us any, just sit here."
Jiang Xu shook his head. "No, what I mean is, it would be more appropriate for you two to switch seats." He pointed to two empty seats in the distance. "Why should I give up my seat when I was sitting here? Of course, you should give up yours."
Upon hearing this, Liu Xian immediately retorted, "This is a public space; everyone can sit here. We're going to sit here! Why should we leave?"
Jiang Xu said, "If you want to sit, then sit properly. I wouldn't mind if you bought some super glue and stuck yourself to the chair. Although it might be an eyesore, it's fine if you don't care. Don't worry."
Caught between the two men, Hu Bingbing felt a surge of jealousy and rivalry over her, and she blurted out, "You don't need to do this for me!"
Jiang Xu was genuinely puzzled. "What?"
Hu Bingbing: "What I wanted to say is that you don't need to argue. It's fine for the three of us to sit here, right, Liu Xian?"
Liu Xian tilted his head. "It's better without him."
Jiang Xu, “…” He hadn’t even started driving yet, and he already felt like he was going to be driven crazy. What kind of melodramatic love triangle was this?
Hu Bingbing looked at Jiang Xu and forced a smile, "Did I say something that upset you? I'll be quiet, and I won't talk to him anymore."
Jiang Xu said, "Oh." Hu Bingbing was delighted. He was indeed unhappy that she was talking to Liu Xian. Jiang Xu continued, "Then ask him to lend you the 502 glue. You can seal your mouth."
Hu Bingbing didn't react at first, "Huh? What?"
Jiang Xu turned his head to look at the screen, not intending to say anything more. "It was just a joke, nothing." He was too lazy to say anything more, lest the other party put on a crying act, which would be even more annoying.
My phone rang, and a message from Gu Li popped up.
Gu Li: Where was your exam room again?
Jiang Xu: Lantian Training Ground, want to come and take a look?
Gu Li: I just went out. Your location is quite close to mine, and I happened to be riding my motorcycle today, so I'll take you for a real ride.
Jiang Xu: I've been waiting for this for ages. I'll message you when it's over.
He put his phone away and found the numbers on the screen pleasing to the eye.
Numbers flashed on the screen, and staff called out numbers to send people away in batches, with a rapid turnover.
Hu Bingbing is right. The three of them had very similar numbers, and although they were in different cars, they were basically called away at the same time.
Jiang Xu was very familiar with the project, and he drove each project smoothly. He felt quiet and comfortable in the car, and calmly drove out of the last project.
It was an S-curve, and Jiang Xu finished his driving test (Part 2) smoothly and perfectly.
He was like a guest who was just going through the motions, arriving and leaving with the same ease.
After the assessment, we had to queue up to have our scores entered. The process of entering scores was not fast, or rather, quite slow.
People who had finished their assessments were lining up to enter their data, and it happened to be almost dinnertime in the afternoon. There was only one staff member on duty, so the efficiency was a bit low.
Jiang Xu waited in line, checked his phone, and saw that Gu Li hadn't sent a message yet.
Hu Bingbing's surprised voice rang out from behind, "Jiang Xu, classmate."
Jiang Xu felt a tap on his right shoulder. He looked back but didn't see anyone. Then he felt a tap on his left shoulder.
Just as Hu Bingbing was getting ready with a bright smile, waiting for Jiang Xu to turn around, she noticed that the young man in front of her had turned back and didn't seem to intend to come back.
Her smile was like porcelain, about to shatter.
How could this be? How could they be so stubborn?
Hu Bingbing stood directly beside Jiang Xu, her long hair swaying as she turned her head. "Jiang Xu, look at me."
Jiang Xu stood in line with his arms crossed as if nothing had happened, ignoring Hu Bingbing's words.
Seeing that no one was looking at him, Hu Bingbing tried to pat Jiang Xu's shoulder again, but this time she missed. Jiang Xu simply took a step to the side, and no one touched even a corner of his clothes.
Jiang Xu then turned to look at Hu Bingbing. "I don't like being touched," he said coldly. "And why would I be looking at you?"
Hu Bingbing withdrew her hand after missing her target. The summer breeze ruffled her loose hair a little. She reached out and brushed a strand of hair that had fallen onto her cheek back. The whole action was full of a carefully planned atmosphere. Only after she finished did she look at Jiang Xu. "You don't dare to look at me," she stepped forward. "Are you shy?"
Hu Bingbing's voice was low and menacing as it came toward Jiang Xu. Jiang Xu remained calm. "Shy, are you?" he asked back, a faint smile in his voice. "You?" he asked, his tone full of doubt.
Jiang Xu never expected that the word "Pu Xin" could be so clearly written on a person's face.
Hu Bingbing could tell that Jiang Xu was genuinely confused and felt that this was simply a joke.
Her face flushed. She was clearly the type so many boys liked, but she smiled again. "Am I not pretty?" she asked, blinking her eyelashes. "Not pretty at all?"
Jiang Xu looked at Hu Bingbing without any emotion in his eyes, but then his eyes narrowed slightly as if he had discovered something.
Seeing the change in Jiang Xu, Hu Bingbing finally reacted. Hu Bingbing was very confident in herself; she was the kind of person that everyone would praise for being beautiful.
This was enough in her eyes, but for Jiang Xu and Gu Li, it was too superficial. For them, all they needed to do was stand there and everyone's attention would be on them.
Jiang Xu spoke up at this moment, pointing casually at Hu Bingbing's face, "Your false eyelashes are crooked." He stated it as if it were an objective statement, then added the question that Hu Bingbing cared about most, "As for whether it looks good or not, it's just a matter of personal opinion."
That's absolutely true. Jiang Xu really thought Hu Bingbing was just average, very average indeed.
He likes something impactful and wild, something attractive and unique, and he prefers bold and intense eyes and brows that can absolutely catch his eye. He also appreciates something as exquisite as a work of art.
He had many demands, but Hu Bingbing did not meet any of them.
When Hu Bingbing heard her mention her false eyelashes, her first reaction was to lower her head and turn her face away. Then, after hearing the rest of Jiang Xu's sentence, she felt terrible.
Then, Hu Bingbing remembered that she hadn't put on false eyelashes at all!
Hu Bingbing looked at Jiang Xu, "Jiang Xu, look closely, I'm not wearing false eyelashes."
Jiang Xu glanced at it politely and said, "Maybe the eyeliner is crooked."
Hu Bingbing gritted her teeth, "I didn't wear any makeup at all!"
Jiang Xu nodded, looking as if he had just realized something. "No wonder it doesn't look good at all." He thought for a moment and then said, "You should put it on next time you go out; it'll look better then."
“Bingbing…” another annoying voice rang out.
