Gu Li suddenly spoke up, "Wait a minute, I'm very sorry, but I have to say that I forgot to bring something." He pointed in the direction he had just come from, "Friends, please wait for me a moment."
Jiang Xu glanced at Gu Li's retreating figure. "Then I'll go to the restroom while I'm at it, it won't take up much time." He pointed in the direction Gu Li had left. "Friends, I'll be there as soon as possible." He jogged off in that direction.
Lu Chao glanced at the remaining four people. "Looks like we'll be stranded for a while longer."
Xu Lang: "What did Li forget to bring? I don't think it's anything."
Xie Tao calmly replied, "That depends on him."
Ji Hai said to Jiang Chen, "Little brother, are you in no hurry? Do you want some water? You must be tired from running all this way."
Jiang Chen shook his head, "No, bro, we'll just wait together." After he finished speaking, he looked at Lü Chao and Xu Lang, who had started whispering to each other, and asked curiously, "Are those two bros talking about some secret?"
Ji Hai glanced at them and said, "Oh, ignore them. Just assume they're chatterboxes who can't stand not talking."
Lu Chao said in a low voice, "I feel something's not right, it's such a coincidence."
Xu Lang: "Coincidentally, I think so too. These two are definitely something special."
It does have some merit, something quite similar.
After Gu Li finished telling the staff at the flash sale, he went to the locker. He left a ring there when he put his things away, and he had already prepared an excuse.
He took the ring, put it back on his hand, and slowly walked towards the spot where the flash sale was taking place, only to see a familiar figure there.
Gu Li paused, intending to avoid him, but Jiang Xu turned around and they faced each other at a distance. Now there was no way to avoid him. He walked over casually and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Jiang Xu held the photo in his hand, and with a calm and collected movement, he placed it behind his phone, naturally covering the photo completely. "I'm going to pick something up. What about you?"
Gu Li, "Oh, I saw you, and then..."
The staff at the flash sale were faster than he could speak, handing him the photos directly. "Hello sir, these are the photos you requested, they've been processed."
Well, now Gu Li was in a dilemma, not knowing whether to accept the photo or not. She couldn't continue what she was saying. Gu Li closed her eyes briefly, then opened them and calmly took the photo, saying, "Thank you."
Then, he looked up at Jiang Xu's expression. Jiang Xu's gaze was obviously on the photo, and from this angle, both of them could see the photo very clearly. "Hehe, what a coincidence, I'm also here to pick up something."
Jiang Xu looked away. "Okay, let's go now that we've got it."
Gu Li had clearly already given himself away. He said nonchalantly, "I've seen what you got, so let me see what you got too." His tone was a little dejected.
Jiang Xu: "Let me think about it."
Gu Li also covered the photo with the back of his phone. He figured Jiang Xu would most likely not show it to him, so he was just trying to distract himself and hoping the photo wouldn't stand out too much.
Jiang Xu paused only briefly before replying, "Okay."
As Gu Li moved around, she thought she had misheard. "You said 'okay,' right?"
Jiang Xu: "Hmm, okay, let's swap and see. I couldn't see it clearly just now either."
Gu Li ran his fingers over the back of the photo, and his breath eased slightly. "Okay, let's change it."
They looked at each other.
The staff at the flash sale booth were chatting idly. "Xiao Liu, why did you suddenly go to deliver photos to someone just now?"
"You didn't see the photos I exported, did you?"
"I didn't see it. What funny picture is it now?"
"This time, the pictures are different. They're the kind that can be used as profile pictures, and there are two of them."
"Wow, that's amazing! When did candid shots become so good? You even managed to get two! What kind of profile picture is that?"
Xiao Liu's eyes were fixed on the receding figure. "Couple profile pictures."
The snapshots aren't very clear, but the flowing hair and the smile are striking. The two photos were taken at the same time from two different angles; one shows Gu Li's face, and the other shows Jiang Xu's.
This photo shows the two of them looking at each other from the top of that hill.
The photos were now back in their hands. Gu Li looked at the photos and said, "Not bad, even though they're blurry, you can still tell he's incredibly handsome. He's got it."
Jiang Xu: "You too, you've got it all figured out."
They put the photos in their pockets; their summer clothes were light and thin, and the pockets of their shirts were open right at their hearts, as if they were keeping each other's photos in their hearts.
The feeling was hazy, ambiguous, yet just right.
The other five people were sitting on chairs under the shade of a tree, one of them holding an ice cream cone. When Lü Chao saw the two who had come over together, he asked, "The one who was going to get something and the one who was going to the restroom ran into each other on their way, right? What did you go to get?"
Gu Li raised his left hand, with a silver ring on each of his index and pinky fingers. One ring was small and understated, while the other was exaggerated and obvious. He pointed to the exaggerated one on his index finger and said, "I took this off when I was getting something and forgot to take it with me. Without it, my cool outfit is suddenly compromised. That won't do."
Xu Lang: "Now that you mention it, it does look really cool."
Ji Hai: "Yeah, that's really cool."
Lu Chao said, "Okay, all good." He decided to skip ahead and continue with his grand plan. "Everyone's here, let's go."
Jiang Chen looked at the ice cream cone in his hand. "Brother, I'll go buy two for you two. Wait for me a minute."
Jiang Xu, “No…” His cousin had already run out.
Gu Li watched Jiang Chen's retreating figure and remarked, "Young people just have so much energy."
Jiang Xu, "So you're admitting you're getting old?"
Gu Li: "How could that be? I'm a young person too. People as young as me will only get younger and younger."
