It's a classic game format, but even classics can be rejected, like now.
Jiang Xu: "I'm leaving now. I refuse the challenge."
"Hahahaha, you can't leave without accepting the challenge. The key is in my hands." The voice chuckled dryly. "You just need to complete a few requirements." The tone shifted to one of negotiation.
Jiang Xu: "Tell me about it, I'll cooperate."
Gu Li: "Well, if he says he'll cooperate, then I'll cooperate."
“Then I’ll make the suggestion,” the little girl’s voice asked quickly, “Please have one person carry the other to complete twenty squats.”
Jiang Xu: "If you can't do it, find another one."
"Since it's my first time, I'll draw another one," she readily conceded, took out a card, looked at it, and read it aloud with a forced, childlike voice, "One person carries another to complete ten frog jumps."
Gu Li: "No, change it again."
"Why don't you two draw them yourselves? What do you think?" I'm actually kind of curious to see what kind of things they'll draw.
Gu Li and Jiang Xu exchanged a glance. "Who's going to draw?"
Jiang Xu thought for a moment, "I've never been very good at drawing prizes, so you can do it."
Gu Li nodded, stepped forward, and selected a sheet from the box. The number of words on it was less, but it was becoming increasingly outrageous.
Gu Li looked up at Jiang Xu and said, "Either I have incredibly bad luck, or there's nothing normal in here."
The little girl asked curiously, "What is that?"
Gu Li, without any expression, covered the paper on the table. "I seriously doubt the scientific validity of your sampling."
The person in the black cloak lifted it up to look at it and read it aloud, "One minute in a princess carry." Then he fell silent.
He initially took a chance, but now he thinks he might have taken the wrong suitcase. He's starting to feel guilty.
Then, thinking about how he had just tried to scare the man by grabbing his ankle but ended up losing more than he gained, he felt like crying.
He really, really didn't do it on purpose.
Luckily, there was a voice changer. "How about we have someone else draw another card? I think it's a matter of probability." He was sweating profusely. Couldn't they at least draw a normal one?
Jiang Xu walked over to Gu Li and reached into the box to draw something. "There seems to be a problem with the probability of you completing this challenge."
He opened it, and Gu Li, who was next to him, saw it too. The paper was then slammed back onto the table. Jiang Xu leaned on the table and said, "I think you're the one with the problem."
He hesitated even when he lifted his head, and then he looked down and realized he was about to lose his hair.
The paper read: 10-second kiss.
The three fell silent; it was a complicated situation.
"Oh dear, someone must have taken the wrong box," the voice changer's childlike voice gave even the voice changer goosebumps. "How about we make the challenge a little easier?"
Gu Li crossed her arms over her chest. "How exactly is it simple?"
Jiang Xu: "I won't accept any more smoking."
“No, no.” He pulled the brim of his cloak down a little further, his fingers on the table. “I’ve already done some tarot readings and learned that you two are close friends, so,” he paused, “a friendly hug for 30 seconds will suffice.”
Gu Li said, "Even if your tarot cards give such obvious results, your technique needs improvement." After saying that, he looked at Jiang Xu and said, "I think this requirement is acceptable."
Jiang Xu nodded, "Okay," he continued, "but his calculations were indeed a bit unnecessary."
In the quiet environment, the light from the will-o'-the-wisps flickered, and the light and shadow danced on the two people. The young men faced each other, and their similar heights allowed their eyes to meet.
Straight up.
The two opened their arms at the same time and truly embraced. There was no thrilling wind like a roller coaster, no incessant shouting, only the steady heartbeats when their hands touched.
The throbbing sensation on the roller coaster, now immersed in water, accelerated in a different way, until the jump was clearly perceived.
Whether it's him or her, they both sense it.
It was a pure feeling, an extreme pulsation generated by others.
Restlessness and unease, anxiety mixed with a sense of calm brought on by the other person's shared rhythm.
Thirty seconds is very short, so short that when the phone on the table beeped, they felt that the hug had only just begun.
Gu Li smiled as the notification sound rang out, "Brother, give me a hug and tell me what's on your mind..." His voice was melodious and gentle, the last syllable sound like a soft touch against the speaker, full of intimacy and relaxation.
The song drifted into Jiang Xu's ears, carrying a gentle breeze. "You sing really well," Gu Li would occasionally chime in, and with the support of her voice, Jiang Xu genuinely thought it was quite good.
The two separated, facing the seated person. Gu Li looked at the person shrouded in black robes and asked, "Can we leave now?"
The loli voice changed again, becoming a mature, older woman's voice, "Wait a minute. Since you just questioned my tarot card skills, I've decided to prove myself. Here's a free bonus."
The man in black robes laid out tarot cards. "The project is titled: The Predetermined Future."
Gu Li: "It's so childish and unbelievable."
Jiang Xu: "Actually, you can also pretend we never questioned it."
The mature woman's voice was very calm, "No, that won't do. This concerns the dignity of our haunted house. Come on, everything will be ordained by fate."
Gu Li said, "If you insist on doing this, then let's finish this quickly."
Jiang Xu: "Alright, we've been working together for so long, let's begin."
Gu Li and Jiang Xu said they didn't understand the process, but they did answer some questions.
What is the relationship between the two of you?
