Chapter 418: Materials in the West

Li Xiujun didn't understand what was going on. She was stunned for a moment, then nodded slightly. "I just ran into Professor Chen at the antique market and saw him faint. It just so happened..."

Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by Wang Nian: "Pay me money!"

Suddenly, Li Xiujun didn't understand where she was going and looked at her with a puzzled look: "You want me to pay you money?"

"My brother is fine, why did he end up in the hospital? Shouldn't you be responsible for paying for the medical expenses?" Wang Nian said with a righteous look on his face.

After hearing the noise, the medical staff at the nurses' station came over and said seriously, "Please leave if you want to quarrel. This is a hospital and the other patients need to rest!

Wang Nian put his hands on his waist, looking like he was about to quarrel with Li Xiujun.

The doctor had just returned from his ward rounds and, upon seeing this scene, walked over and asked, "What's going on?"

The nurse murmured, "They're arguing. I told them this is a hospital and we need silence."

The doctor looked at Li Xiujun. He had some influence on her. When Wang Nian saw the doctor coming, she quickly said, "Doctor, you've come at the right time. Please judge for yourself. Who should pay for this medical expense?"

Wang Nianzhen explained the whole story to the doctor again, but Li Xiujun didn't want to argue with such a person. She hugged her shoulders with her hands and a helpless look appeared on her face.

The doctor listened attentively, pressed the pen in his hand and tapped it on his white coat, and Li Xiujun saw it all.

"Why did this lady pay the money when she didn't even know the family members?" the doctor asked.

Wang Nian was speechless for a moment, hesitating for a long time. The doctor pointed to the ward where Professor Chen was staying and continued, "If you're really worried about the family, just go and take a look inside. Besides, the patient doesn't have any serious problems. There's no need to keep harassing a little girl, right?"

After hearing what the doctor said, Wang Nian felt a little embarrassed. He snorted coldly and returned to the ward angrily.

Li Xiujun didn't expect that the doctor could solve the problem so easily. She crossed her hands in front of her and looked at the sign hanging on the doctor's white coat, which had his name on it.

"Thank you, Dr. Liu." Li Xiujun smiled.

Doctor Liu scratched his head and said, "It's just a small favor, nothing to worry about."

But for some reason, Dr. Liu felt that the woman in front of him looked so familiar.

After Li Xiujun thanked him, she was about to leave. But a moment later, Dr. Liu came after her and said, "Miss, wait a moment."

She stopped and frowned, "Doctor Liu, is there anything else?"

Dr. Liu stood in front of Li Xiujun but didn't look her in the eye. "Can I add your contact information?"

"Ah?" Li Xiujun was a little surprised.

After all, he had only met Dr. Liu once, so he quickly explained, "I just liked you. Let's get in touch so we can get to know each other better."

Li Xiujun then understood what was going on: "I'm sorry, Dr. Liu, I'm already married." She refused.

Although Dr. Liu didn't expect such a young girl in front of him to be married, he couldn't say much, so he just let it go: "Sorry to bother you."

"It's okay." Li Xiujun said.

She turned and left, and Dr. Liu stood there motionless, watching her leave.

As soon as she left the hospital, Li Xiujun received an urging call from Mr. Li Sanye, so she quickly took a taxi and returned to school.

After returning to school, Li Xiujun handed the stone to Mr. Li Sanye and teased him, "Mr. Sanye, take a look at what I bought, did I buy it right?"

Mr. Li San opened the stone, squeezed it with his hands, and nodded slightly: "Yes, this is it."

Li Xiujun felt relieved.

"Where did you go? Why did you come back so late?" asked Mr. Li San. Mr. Li San calculated the time and found that she had been gone for half a day.

"I encountered something on the way and was delayed."

Mr. Li San was about to enter the laboratory with the stone. As soon as he pushed open the door, he remembered something and stopped and said, "Oh, there's your package outside."

But Li Xiujun was a little confused, and she muttered to herself: "That's not right, I haven't bought anything online recently."

He went to the cabin to pick up the express delivery. When he opened it, he saw that it was a bronze artifact. Li Xiujun was troubled. After all, Chu Jie had already rejected him.

It is a bit against the rules for Professor Chen to hand it over to me privately.

Li Xiujun sat on the stool, looking at the broken bronze ware. The scene in the hospital emerged in her mind, and she sighed deeply.

Thinking that Professor Chen was a good person, just too pitiful, Li Xiujun finally put the express delivery in her schoolbag.

"It's just a small favor." said Li Xiujun.

She brought the bronze artifact into the laboratory. When Mr. Li San saw Li Xiujun coming in, he asked, "What do you want to do here?"

"Restoring ancient artifacts." Li Xiujun answered while shaking the bronze artifact in her hand.

Mr. Li Sanye had nothing more to say.

After Li Xiujun put on all her equipment, she sat on a stool and began to repair the porcelain seriously. For her, this task was relatively simple.

It was almost repaired in just over ten minutes, except that there was a piece missing from the bronze artifact.

Mr. Li San also finished his work. He walked to Li Xiujun's side, looked her over, and praised her: "Where did you get this bronze artifact from, little girl?"

“It was sent by a customer.”

Mr. Li Sanye sat down next to Li Xiujun and after observing it for a while, he commented: "Look at the color of the finished product, it must have been there for a long time. If it is sold, it will definitely fetch a good price."

This is why, when Professor Chen said he wanted to donate it to the museum, his family was in an uproar.

Li Xiujun agreed with Third Master Li's opinion and pointed to the broken piece: "Third Master, there's a piece missing here. Doesn't that mean the price will drop a lot?"

At this point, Mr. Li San became interested. He put on his glasses and gloves again and said thoughtfully, "If this bronze artifact is missing a piece, it will inevitably be too ugly."

"Then what should we do?" Li Xiujun was puzzled and wanted Master Li San to show her a way out.

"I heard that there are similar materials in the west. I can ask someone to bring some to you from there. After all, it would be a pity if such a good thing was missing." Master Li San continued.

"Okay." Li Xiujun said.

The two of them talked about some technical knowledge, and the time was almost up. Li Xiujun rewrapped the bronze artifact and put it in her schoolbag, then returned to the dormitory with it.
