Chapter 95 No, I think I should just find a man to marry.

Wen Jiaojiao sighed, picked up her suitcase, and walked into the restaurant. Several simple rectangular tables were set up inside.

She placed her things on the table, looked around, and said, "Where do I live? I need a place to put my luggage first, right?"

Wang Hai pointed upstairs and said:

"On the second floor, in the room on the left."

Wen Jiaojiao carried her things upstairs. There were three rooms and a bathroom upstairs.

She opened the door to the room on the left, sat on the narrow iron-framed bed inside, and a sense of loneliness and desolation washed over her for no apparent reason.

From now on, I'll probably be all alone.

A few seconds passed, and then a series of footsteps came from downstairs.

She sighed inwardly, composed herself, opened her suitcase, pulled out a large roll of banknotes, and said worriedly:

"With so much money and this place being so chaotic, where am I supposed to hide it? If someone steals it again, I'll definitely cry my eyes out."

Inside the room, there was only a metal-framed bed covered with a straw mat, and the walls were mottled and peeling paint, leaving no room to hide.

Wen Jiaojiao thought for a moment, then put it back in her pocket, and said with a determined look:

"I'll borrow a needle tonight and sew it into the bras. I'll also sew a pocket into each bra so I can change clothes. That way it'll be absolutely safe; I'll be able to tell if a pickpocket touches it."

Just then, a shout came from downstairs:

"Hey you, get down here right now."

Wen Jiaojiao: "..." My miserable working life is definitely not going to be as happy as it was with Wen Zhaoye in the days to come.

On the other side, Wen Zhaoye waited in the arcade for a long time but didn't see Li Cuihua. He turned around and went to the pastry stall diagonally opposite and said:

"One pound each of red bean cake and sesame candy."

The cost of living in Yuncheng is the highest compared to surrounding cities, so most snacks are bought for children. The shop owner subconsciously assumed the customer was buying them for their own child.

As he packed the food, he said, "How about some candied melon? That's what kids love to eat the most. I guarantee they'll love it if you bring it home."

Wen Zhaoye smiled slightly and said, "She's not a child anymore. She doesn't eat things that are too sweet."

The shopkeeper adjusted the weight on the scale and joked, "Looks like you bought this for your wife."

Wen Zhaoye's ears turned red, and he hesitated before saying:

"Not yet...".

After weighing the mung bean cake, the shopkeeper weighed the red bean cake and casually remarked, "So, it sounds like your fiancée is getting married soon, right?"

Wen Zhaoye, remembering the true nature of their relationship, remained silent. He sadly accepted the items, paid, and turned to leave.

Just as the boss looked over, puzzled, he paused, as if he had suddenly realized something. A youthful smile appeared on his handsome face as he turned around and said very loudly:

"yes."

People around him hurried by, all drawn to his suddenly raised voice. The boss looked bewildered for a moment, then nodded with a smile.

Wen Zhaoye understood. While the truth was important, regardless of the final outcome, his desire to marry her would most likely not fade.

Furthermore, even if the two have children involved, the ties can never be completely severed; they can simply find a way to resolve the situation later.

There's no need to be timid and hesitant from the start, wasting time worrying about it every day.

His eyes were slightly upturned at the corners, and a bright smile graced his handsome face, exuding a youthful and flamboyant energy.

Just then, two young men walked out of the arcade, one of them saying:

"Wang Fang, look at that guy, he was waiting for ages at the arcade entrance, looking all worried. Why is he so happy now?"

Wang Fang grabbed the bicycle by the door: "Who cares? It's almost noon, I have to go home for lunch."

Wen Zhaoye ignored the two and walked straight towards the hotel.

The receptionist saw him and said anxiously:

"Hey, your sister ran off with a suitcase shortly after you left, and I couldn't stop her even though I was behind her."

Wen Zhaoye's mind went blank for a moment, his smile vanished, and he asked uncertainly:

Are you sure it's the girl who was with me?

The waiter nodded, and as his expression gradually darkened, he said weakly:

"Yes, if you don't believe me, go back to your room and see for yourself."

Wen Zhaoye's Adam's apple bobbed laboredly, and his legs felt like lead as he walked toward the room. As the door opened, several of his clothes were prominently displayed on the round coffee table.

With a "thud," the pastries tied together fell to the ground as his fingertips trembled slightly, making a crisp sound.

Wen Zhaoye opened the wardrobe in disbelief, and sure enough, the suitcase was gone. His handsome face showed panic, his eyes were slightly bloodshot, and his mind was racing.

He considered all sorts of reasons for Wen Jiaojiao's unusual behavior, even bizarre things like being possessed by a ghost, but he never dared to think that she disliked him.

Wen Zhaoye strode forward and rummaged through his clothes. Two ten-yuan bills fell to the ground as he did so. He bent down to pick them up, but found no other useful information.

His heart clenched. Although he didn't understand why Wen Jiaojiao had left, he was also worried that she might not be doing well outside, or that she might have encountered danger.

After all, Yuncheng is not like other places with simple and honest folk customs; shady things are rampant, and danger lurks everywhere.

Without an ID card or a letter of introduction, she would have trouble finding accommodation and would inevitably face various dangers at night.

He approached the hotel reception with a worried look in his eyes, his voice trembling as he asked, "Which direction did she go?"

The waiter pointed in the direction without hesitation, and immediately a figure rushed out.

Inside the restaurant, Wen Jiaojiao was bustling about, her thoughts shifting from initially wanting to pack her bags and go back to find Wen Zhaoye to gradually becoming so tired that she didn't even have time to think about it anymore.
