Stealing a kiss
"Did you see that?"
Jiang Fengyi stared at the rainbow and nodded silently. The faint halo of light stood across the stream. With only two spectators, it remained silent, yet stood there steadily.
The stream below was still flowing, its murmuring water constantly washing over the river breeze and rippling in my ears, carrying away all my complicated emotions with the sound of the water.
Jiang Fengyi enjoyed the silence, and her chaotic thoughts finally calmed down.
"This place is so beautiful!"
She praised him softly.
Xu immediately chimed in, "I discovered it by accident. I come to see the rainbow whenever I'm in a bad mood."
“But we can’t see it every time. Bad weather, poor lighting, or bad luck can all cause us to miss it.” She smiled slightly. “Looks like we were lucky enough today.”
She turned her head to look after she finished speaking.
Jiang Fengyi stood at the foot of the rainbow, tilting her head slightly. Golden light fell on her face, and her light-colored pupils rippled with golden-brown light when illuminated by the sunlight.
She murmured softly, "So beautiful~"
Jiang Fengyi praised the scenery, but Xu praised the people.
She slowed her breathing and stopped moving, lest she disturb Jiang Fengyi.
When leaving,
Jiang Fengyi, still savoring the moment, kept turning back.
“We can come often if you like.” Xu glanced at his phone and said with a smile, “The weather has been nice lately, so there’s a good chance of seeing a rainbow.”
Under the blazing sun, Xu Que's smile was more precious than a fleeting rainbow.

She sat back down at her workstation and began her work for the day. After finishing processing the company documents, she glanced at the time and realized it wasn't time to leave work yet.
Xu clicked on the official website selling prosthetics and selected a replacement prosthesis for Yuanyuan in advance. She could pay directly when her salary arrived in a couple of days later.
In contrast, Jiang Fengyi was extremely busy when she returned to the company, constantly holding meetings. All the issues that Wu Qi had no authority to handle a few days ago were piled up and dealt with today.

After most of his colleagues had left the office, Xu did not hesitate any longer and walked unimpeded into Jiang Fengyi's office.

Jiang Fengyi's face remained red, partly from anger and partly from embarrassment. She had only sent a letter to Xu Que today, a man who seemed to have no idea how to spell the word "shy."
Fortunately, the group on the other side couldn't see the blush on her face because of the screen. Finally, the grueling meeting ended, and Jiang Fengyi immediately shut down her computer and glared at Xu Que.
Xu had been waiting for her to finish her work, with a table of food prepared for her. Upon receiving a look from Jiang Fengyi, he moved closer to her again.
"Come and eat!"
Fearing that Jiang Fengyi might go hungry, she had already served her rice and separated the chopsticks.
Jiang Fengyi walked over and took the chopsticks.
"Don't you have anything to say?"
"Me?" Xu Que had just finished serving himself his rice when he heard Jiang Fengyi ask. After thinking for a moment, he replied, "I've eaten at this restaurant before. It's sure to be good. It should suit your taste. You should try it if you don't believe me."

Xu was busy putting food into Jiang Fengyi's bowl, but upon hearing this, he paused in his action.
Then he tentatively asked, "So, from now on, before I kiss you, I'll ask for your permission first?"

Her gaze was fixed on Jiang Fengyi's rosy lips.
"If you don't start eating soon, I'm going to kiss you on the lips."
