"Big brother, what's wrong with you?"
"My sister was in a car accident, and I can't even look at her. I just can't accept it!"
Wu Youyou frowned. "Sister?"
"You have a younger sister in Kyoto?"
Wu Maoyan felt the voice was familiar. He wiped away his blurry tears and finally saw that Wu Youyou was standing unharmed in front of him.
"Little sister, are you alright?"
Wu Maoyan rubbed his eyes, afraid that he was seeing things and hallucinating.
When he opened his eyes, it really was Wu Youyou. Overwhelmed with emotion, Wu Maoyan hugged her tightly.
You scared me to death!
Wu Youyou's nose also felt a little sore. She hugged Wu Maoyan back and comforted him in a voice.
"Brother, I'm fine. My friend is in the hospital tonight and I was worried about him, so I came to check on him myself! What are you doing here?"
Upon hearing that his younger sister had come because of a friend's hospitalization, Wu Maoyan glanced at Shi Zhan with an embarrassed look, then released Wu Youyou and addressed everyone.
"My younger sister didn't say why she rushed to Kyoto overnight. I was worried, so I came to check on her. Seeing that she was alright, I finally felt at ease."
Wu Youyou looked apologetically at Wu Maoyan.
"I'm sorry, big brother, I'll never do it again. I've made you all worry about me!"
"It's good that you know you were wrong!"
Han Shuzhen was placed in a VIP area. The medical staff carefully escorted her into the ward before finally allowing Wu Youyou and the others to visit her. Han Shuzhen had a dedicated nurse to take care of her here, which reassured Wu Youyou a lot.
Wu Maoyan then looked closely at Han Shuzhen lying on the hospital bed. She really looked like a porcelain doll, so fragile.
Wu Maoyan glanced at it and his soul trembled at the sense of shattering it struck him.
He was captivated by Han Shuzhen, staring at her intently.
Wu Youyou noticed that her older brother's expression was a little different, so she walked up to him and whispered something.
"Brother, this is my friend, Han Shuzhen. I owe her this! If it weren't for me, she wouldn't have been hurt like this!"
Wu Maoyan looked at her in confusion, wondering why his younger sister said that, and what had happened between her and this Han Shuzhen.
In the ward, Wu Maoyan was not in a position to ask questions.
Shi Zhan comforted Wu Youyou because of her self-blame.
"Youyou, don't blame yourself. I believe Han Shuzhen won't blame you either. Some things happen and we can't change them, but we can change what we do next! Don't worry, this is also a part of your growth."
